Day 1: It begins! Eight Mimosa Evo seeds, planted in coco with 20% perlite and a sprinkle of 10% worm humus for good measure. Lights are cranking at 75-280 PPFD, ~27°C, ~80% humidity, and 1200 ppm CO2. This setup feels pro, even though I’m still figuring it all out.
Day 3: Most of the seeds are up, but two are still chilling under the surface. 🌱 My water is sitting at 0.5-0.6 EC and I have to use vinegar for the PH for now, which isn’t ideal, but they don’t seem to mind too much.
Day 5: Gave them too much fertilizer—EC hit ~1.4… Quickly flushed with 2 ml/L Rhizotonic about a day and a half later, and thankfully, no visible stress. Crisis averted.
Day 7: So, two seeds didn’t make it. I started two fresh ones, and one’s growing super slow and looks a bit... well, special. 🌱 But the rest are thriving! 😸
Overall, for a first timer, I’d say we’re doing alright!
