I have concluded the problems with the plants are due to light burn. The nugs are getting big, and one one of the plants they are super dense. The strain is supposed to be 9 weeks of flowering, so I may begin flushing soon.

Do my plants look good to flip to flower in 1 week? Should I do anything else before flipping like more LST or defoliation? Any insight is helpful, thank you.

She's looking great! Well done! There are a couple of things I would suggest: 1) a little more clean up around the main stalk. I'd remove the little stuff from the branches, the stuff that is near the main stalk. Those tiny branches that would yield only popcorn. 2) Remove the strings. I see several places where the plant is growing around the tie. When you start to flower. She will have a big growth spurt. You'll want that growth to go towards the flowers, not the branches or stalk. In my experience, if you leave her tied down, during the flower stage. She will spend more energy on the branches and stalk, rather than the flower. My diary has a good comparison to show what I am talking about. The Cheese was untied, and has grown large flowers. The White Widow Max was left tied down during the flower stage, and grew a very large stalk. While having only small flowers. So again, I'd say cut her loose for the flower stage. Otherwise - you've done very well !!!

Looking great! I have grown this strain before and also had different looking plants but during flower I could see the characteristics of the buds were very much the same. I had fantastic results. Good luck, excited to see the results so will follow.

@bildo, a long lasting hard hitter. Smoking enough will sink you into the couch. Really was impressed with the density too. Thinking about growing this again.

@UncleD, Interesting, how was the smoke on the final product?

@bildo, great job bro! I have noticed the same for little. But my girl has a bright green with purple stems since flower. First i tought its a deficience but i am flushing now past 6 days and think now there 7-9 days to harvest and now my leafs gonna little yellow now...i think thats a strain thing...when interested look at my sec. Diary...there are 4 clones of my church. Will test a sog with 14 girls after my actualy flower-run...stay high!

You may have a FIM resistant strain. People call it single cola dominant.

bildocommented6 years ago
@Med_in_Tropic, thanks for letting me know. I didn't know it was possible. I just tried a new FIM on different plant, but same strain. Will post updates on Thursday.

@bildo Very nice Churches bro! For the big size of your holes you can knot a rope in the middle of any line. (left to right and front to back) When I see your pictures I think it's not too late for. I will follow your churches :D ...Happy Growing!

i think that temperature-wize you should also start flowering now (dont know where globally you grow) coz 25c is optimal and maybe in the near future weeks you will get warmer outside temps and not ideal.. your room now looks temperature-ideal.take advantage to flower now

bildocommented6 years ago
@midEastern, Thank you. Will do.

@bildo,they look good, you did the ok with start flowering. you will have good results, keep it 25c lights on and 18-21 lights off

bildocommented6 years ago
@midEastern, I live in North East US, so it is very cold here now. I have a heater in the tent that brings the temp to 75 F. I was hoping I would be able to remove the heater, but I feel like it will get too cold because my house is normally around 65 F.

Wow, you were right about them looking like 3 completely different plants.
bildo
bildocommented6 years ago
@MovingOn, very nice information. I am familiar with taking clones, but I never thought about inbreeding a strain to the point where its offsprings phenotypes don't differ much. There is so much to cultivation and it is all very exciting!
MovingOn
MovingOncommented6 years ago
@bildo, it is very common. The common term is "phenotype". Each of those plants are a different phenotype. Just like how two human parents can have three children that look nothing like each other, it can also happen in the cannabis world. Humans and cannabis have a lot of heterozygosity due to so much hybrid mixing, and it causes a lot of variations in the offspring. A lot of breeders will try to get rid of this by inbreeding their strains, but sometimes it takes a very long time to get genetic stability. Some strains are more prone to it than others as well. A lot of farms actually do "phenotype hunting" to get the best mother plant that they can for cloning. They will sprout dozens, if not hundreds of seeds to look for the best mother that is a combination of being mold and disease resistant, a fast and resilient grower, the best tasting and smelling, and/or a high yielder. Then they will continuously grow that mother forever by keeping her in a veg light cycle, and use the branches that it grows for cloning.

@MovingOn, crazy, right? This is the first time I've ever grown cannabis and I am not sure if strains usually vary in appearance like this. Either way, I am excited to smoke all three and see for myself if there is a real difference.

Nice movie buddy! What’s the name of that song? Smoking weed on a boat is the best :) we have a boat as well and I love to fish when I’m medicated :) Enjoy your herb! Feel free to check out my page.

@CoastGrower, hell yeah. The song is called Distorted Records by Asap Rocky. The first time I smoked this harvest was on the boat in the photo and it was amazing.

I like it, dude. I'm interested to see how your FIMs turn out. I do have a question, are you heating at night, or is that just the ambient temperature of where you are from?
bildo
bildocommented6 years ago
@MovingOn,I am from east coast of United States, so right now it is very cold. My house is also constantly around 66 F. I have a heater in the tent that I keep on at all times and set it to stay around 79-81 F.

I'm really happy to see somebody on here doing this strain from GHSC! This will be in my next grow, and I was hoping to see somebody else doing it too. Following.

bildocommented6 years ago
@MovingOn, Thanks man! I found only one other person on this website who has done this grow in the past. I'm super excited to see how it turns out. One thing that is interesting is that each of my three plants looks very unique. I'll post pictures of the differences in week 5 update.
