9/7/24 - Put all three seeds into a shot glass and let them sit in the dark
9/9/24 - All three seeds sunk and were showing their taproot, transfer to a paper towel (Coco/Perlite had not arrived yet)
9/11/24 - Transferred all three seeds into Coco Coir, 5 gallon fabric pots.
Misting multiped times a day to keep RH high (80%)
9/13/24 - All three broke through on the same day.
Misting about 50-100ml of just water daily, making sure to keep the one with a helmet constantly moist.
9/15/24 - Had to remove the helmet myself as it was covering both cotyledon leaves and wanted to avoid too much stunting.
Started adding a heavy dose of nutes, EC of 3.0 (2.6 in nutes) PH 6.2, all watering so far had been done with regular water.
Goal is to raise the overall EC levels bit by bit in the next 2 weeks.
Giving about 125ml of water daily. Light is at 40%
9/17/24 - #1 and #2 are progressing nicely.
Giving about 125ml of water daily. Light is at 50%
9/19/24 - #3 is progressing, but at least 2 day behind
Happy with the progress on #1 and #2, I will need to make a decision if I want to keep #3 or not in the next week or two.
Lowered the RH to 72% and watering at least once a day.
Plan is to water until runoff tomorrow and measure the runoff and adjust the nut strenght from there.
Lots of good grow this week. Watered until runoff several times to increase the EC, as the initial EC was basically just water and nothing else.
Plan is to measure runoff again tonight and make adjustments for week 4 based on that.
Increased light bit by bit to 100% and lowered humidity in steps down to 60%
Started LST on the right two plants (#1 and #2) - leaving the left one (#3) alone but doing some heavy tucking of the fan leaves.
I am watering to runoff about once or twice a week, and the runoff EC and PH are looking OK (slightly higher EC than whats going in, PH is around 6.8)
I am liking how #3 responded to leaf tucking, side branches are as tall as the main branch, similar results with the other two who receives LST.
Having issues keeping humidity below 60%, may need to get a de-humidifier once flowering starts.
Definitely in pre-flower currently and showing their sex.
Having some real trouble with the humidity, its been hovering around 60% in the tent but the last few days outside humidity has been 80% and I am having a hard time getting things below 70% - need to look into a dehumidifier soon before flowering really starts.
Progress is going well, no real problems. Bent some of the stems of the middle plant down to even the canopy height.
Still fighting with very high humidity, around 60-67% inside of the tent.
Plan is to defoliate heavily next week, get 1-2 oscillating fans (already have two fixed fans inside the tent)
Might also need to get a 2nd larger de-humidifier if I cannot get the tent humidity below 55-60% without having to open the tent.
Started heavily defoliating the bottom 1/3 in two rounds over the course of 2-3 days.
Fairly even canopy height between all three plants, the tent is definitely filling up all four sides
Did a tiny bit of defoliating of fan leaves growing inwards in the top half covering up sites below.
10/30 - seeing a bit of nutrient burn on new growth leaf tips on the middle plant
Humditiy seems to be in check and below 60%
I water w/runoff about once a week, and the runoff EC is a bit higher than I would like. Between 2.4-2.8 EC (0.4 EC is my water)
I am watering with 1.9-2.0 EC, including the 0.4 water EC, but have been cutting down on the Coco Bloom for the last couple of waterings of the week for a total of 1.5 EC waterings.
Any tip burn I noticed from last week has stopped completely, new growth is coming in good and old growth is looking healthy.
Humidity is hovering around 50-55% on top of the canopy, closer to 55-60% below the canopy.
Noticed some spots on just one plant (middle) on one cola.
The next day the spot spread on the same cola, and another day later I noticed a few more spots on a couple of other colas and some of the fan leaves on that same plant are not looking very healthy.
I think I am dealing with salt buildup and nutrient lockout right now, EC runoff was over 3.0 and PH was at 7. Regular feeding is at about 2.0-2.2 EC, 1.7-1.9 being nutrients
I have been flushing the plants over the last couple of days with about 40% of my regular nutrient solution (1.0 EC - 0.65ec being nutrients) until the runoff was about 2.0EC and the PH around 6.8. But the next morning my runoff was back in the 2.8-3.0EC range..
I plan on watering quite heavy with runoff using the 1.0EC solution until the runoff is consistently below 1.8EC for multiple days in a row - so far I do not think the issue is spreading...
Seems like flushing last week did the trick, I am not noticing any of the symptoms spreading (still only on the middle plant) and new growth seems to come in healthy.
Middle plant is most mature, left one is about 3-5 days behind that one. Right one is another 3-5 days behind the left one.
I am noticing the middle plant is starting to use less water than before.
12/3 - Decided today to start the harvest process on the middle plant, starting to see a fade and the trichomes are showing amber.
Next 5-10 days will be water, PH'ed to 5.8 with 1ml/L of Flawless finish, no flush just regular watering with runoff daily.
Depending on my schedule and what the runoff EC and the plant is saying, I will pick a chop date.
Current assumption is the left plant needs another 4-5 days and the right plant another 7-10 days.
