Setting up my second run, may I got hooked…
I‘m setting up 11 seeds in case something goes wrong, orherwise I will select the best 9. For this run we‘ve chosen:
24k Tangie BSB Genetics - Go 1
Melonade Runtz Dutchpassion - Fail 1
Pineapple Express Barneys Farm - Go 1
Sour Diesel Barneys Farm - Go 1
Biscotti Mintz Barneys Farm - Fail 1
Blue Zushi Limited Edt. Growers Choice - Go 2+1
Super Lemon Haze Greenhouse Seed Co. - Fail 1
Lemon OG Candy Philosopher Seeds - Go 1
Go=Germinated / Fail=Didnt germinated
25.09.24 put the seeds in wet paper towels, sealed them and now letting them sit for ~72hrs.
28.09.24 planted them in seedlings-soil with ph 5.7 and watered them slightly with Dutchpro TakeRoot 0.5ml/l.
This is the second run in my life, Im learning a lot from my first run, so I hope I can do better each time.
The plan is to try as most as possible in the first runs, to see what I really like. And then over time narrow it down and perfect those.
I‘ve got better seeds in my stash, I informed myself about „fake seeds“, histories, real breeder origins, real strain lineage etc. so I decided to get rid of my Growers Choice, Advanced Seeds and some sketchy Barneys stuff. I’ll use this run for practice, earn new knowledge and will keep my „real deal beans“ for the next time, for run 3.
The Lemon OG Candy was a freebie.
Melonade Runtz, Biscotti Mintz, Super Lemon Haze didnt germinated. So I deleted them out of this report, so people who‘re interested in them dont get linked to this report just to see that there’s nothing to see here.

03.10.24 still no signs from 4 seeds, so I planted another Blue Zushi by Growers Choice, just in case.
06.10.24 transplanted the seedlings into 0.5-0.7l pots and BioBizz Light Mix soil. Watered them with 5Drops/l Dutchpro Take Root.
08.10.24.
Still waiting for SA, BM, MR, SLH… sad, SA and SLH where my highest hopes.
09.10.24 SA and BZ3 were born.
14.10.24 End of week 2, Melonade Runtz, Biscotti Mintz, Super Lemon Haze didnt germinated. So I delete them out of this report, so people who‘re interested in them dont get linked to this report just to see that there’s nothing to see here.
What I‘ve spotted so far, the BZ is truly uniform, in therms of look, size, groth rate, very uniform. They germinated and came through pretty fast aswell. So far all thumbs up for Growers Choice Seeds NL. Nice package aswell.
The Bruce Banner (sure, now I know she‘s a fake BUT…), Ive to admit she peaks out the others in therms of growthrate and size, honestly abit hulkish haha. Seed came nicley packaged aswell.
On the other hand still nothing to see from Sensi, Dutch Passion, Greenhouse Seeds and 1 Barneys Farm. I mean I LOVE GHS (personal thing) but honestly, it begans with the package. The eye smokes/grows with aswell.
When one company gives you an nicely packed product (GC,DP,Advanced) and the other company, a cardboard (BF,GHS,Sensi) with an blister attached to it, well I mean its just package but I think it says something about the company. Youre package is like youre buisness card, especially in the seedbuisness. The company the „shot down the bird :D“ was Cookies/Lemonade, they‘ve sent me just two baggies with an plain white printed paperlable sticked to the front, that almost peels off from the start. Looked like some kid did this in his basement using dads old ass Canon cartridge printer from 2004.
To my brain, the experience starts with the unboxing and stuff.
One product feels like an quality growing eqt the other package like a 5pack of bubblegums or Aspirin.
It just doesent leave the best impression, especially when some things dont go as well as compared to their cheaper brothers like Advanced, Growers Choice vs Barneys, Sensi.
The Dutchpro Take Root seems to work pretty fine, while transplanting I noticed how healthy the roots looked and how many already had developed, a few looked 1:1 like on pictures, thick, bright white and a lot of mini roots coming out of them, like hairy noodles. 👍
I‘m considering to do this run completely in BioBizz Light-Mix and not switching to coco with the next transplatation.
