Day 15: Very hot outside the growbox, +27C.
Day 16: I don't understand what is happening with that leaf. Never seen anything like this before. Probably this is a heat stress, so I've modified vents configuration to provide a good constant air circulation.
Day 21: temperature inside the box 20-26°C, new leafs are looking good, old sick ones apparently will not get better, but that's ok. So it was a heat stress, hmm...
Day 22: I think the soil mix could be better, it stays wet for too long which means less breathing, slower growth. Next time I will use some good all-known soil label, for example BioBizz.
Day 25: Expecting +31C today.
Day 29: drain water ph: 6.4, drain water ppm: 650. No nutrients / bursters used so far. Luminosity at the top of the main cola is 10K-14K lux, that gives about 25 DLI value.
Day 31: height 33 cm.
Day 32: I didn't plan to scrog, but, hey, why not?
Day 33: all the bud sites are now on the same distance to the lamp(s) and are getting same amount of light. Main cola keeps stretching up. Drinks very good, had to water again.
Day 34: removed just a few bottom leafs, they didn't get light at all. I would like to remove more, but not sure if it is a good idea.
Day 35: hmm, this morning everything was cool, but later in the evening I've noticed a tiny little deficiency started developing on the leafs, probably magnesium. I had to react by watering with mineral nutrients - GHF Short Flowering Powder.
P.S. Of course I would love to grow naturally and use only organic nutrients, but I lack experience and knowledge, yet. So maybe some other time, not with this grow.
Day 36: magnesium deficiency (?) can be noticed on the leafs. If you take a closer look at the fotos - it was already visible on day 33. Should not be a big deal, since I've started using feedings yesterday.
Day 39: feeding day (6.4 ph, 750 ppm)
Day 42: defoliated just a little.
Day 44: watered, no nutes.
Day 47: buds are constantly growing. I think 6 litres pot is a bit small for here, next time I'll try 11 litres container.
Day 48: feeding 900ppm, ph 6.5.
Day 50: WTF with the leafs coloring? I wonder is it supposed to be so colorful, or am I doing smth wrong? They say when growing under LEDs additional calmag is a must, and I am not using it, maybe that is the reason?
Update: it must be a light burn, moved lamps 60 cm up from the canopy.
Day 53: feeding 1100 ppm, 6.5 ph.
Day 57: leafs look terrible, I burned them via LEDs, but buds are slowly getting bigger anyway, and they smell very nice. High temperature inside the box - 29-32 °C, RH 45%.
Day 59: watered 250 ppm, ph 6.4.
Day 62: she looks better than a week ago, this is good. So it was a LED lights / heat burn.
Day 71: breeder declares that 9-10 weeks are required from seed to harvest, but according to trichomes I'll rather make it 11-12.
Day 73: watered 250 ppm, ph 6.5, added 2 ml of molasses per litre.
My impression, live: "wow, man, this is definitely still a weed...", "so nice, so possitive and easy going", "I am feeling myself comfortable, good vibes", "wow, I''d like to smoke some more, but let''s enjoy this moment, no hurry, just one more song on the radio", "like a sunny day", "man, I love everybody, every person on the planet", "man I love this web site! Hello, guys! Thank you! Jejejeje", "aaaahhhhhhh peeeeewww peeeeewww, uuuuiiiii"...
Some time later. Let''s take a second hit.
"Wow, see you later, guys, this music sounds too sweet..."...
... but still thank you for joining this moment of my life! Wow! I am growing weed! Ohohohoho
God daaaamn!!!1
So happy right now. So just very very very happy. Everything is so right. So nice and sweet.
This little moment.
Update 1: well, I would describe the high as "you stay in this reality, it just becomes so very pleasant, interesting and a bit unexpected". It is comfortable to smoke this strain and go walking around the city, for example, since you do not loose a connection with the surroundings. That is what I did today, and it was a great journey. Compared to WW and NL - I would not go walking just like that around the city after smoking WW or NL :) I am not that experienced and brave, yet.
Update 2: enjoyed smoking it as a joint, nice aroma.
Update 3: it is very unexpected for me, but high from this strain lasts longer than from the custom breeder's WW I've being smoking recently. I thought CBD strain is "for pussies", but no - it is honest and strong, just not that psychoactive, which is a good thing if you think twice, you know. Yes, it is different than I used to, but it is not less potent, you know, not a single way. I can recommend it as an everyday evening smoke. For a day time, meh I don't know - I am not that experienced, yet, but I think it is a bit too relaxing for a day time smoke. Something more energetic would be better, some good old sativa.
Guys, I will not give it any nutrients at all (at least until the flowering) - I need to figure out what is wrong with my setup (I bet on the LED lights / nutrients).
Hey bri the coloring you are getting looks like magnesium deficiency. Is very common can come from over water, salt build in the soil, ph too high or too low or the led. In the stage tou are is easy to correct woth a cal mag supplement, check the runnof if the vase and dont water too much wait till the medium feels dry up to a nucle. Check led distance too. Good luck happy growing
@CANNASIM, thanks. Hmm, probably you are right about the lights. If you think about it - things started slowly getting from bad to worse when I added 2 more 36w LED lamps and moved all of them as close to the plants, as I could.
@KonopCh, in comparison to White Widow and Northern Lights, I've being smoking recently, CBD strain is definitely more about the body effect, mind effect is very mild and pleasant. You stay in this reality :) it just feels more comfortable. Something like that.
Good luck with this girl! 👍🏻What are you using as medium? In your other diary looks like you just used too many nutes, just go lighter, she will recover, if you flush the medium with ph water and alternate water feed, if your soil is already hot with organic matter then you have to give a lower dose yet... cheers
@John_1984, im not a ec/ppm super user, so what do is alternate water feed to runoff. You can monitor the leaves, if they pale in general is missing elements, too dark not good either, and burning is overfert.
@CANNASIM, I am using good market soil (ph 5.5 - 6.5) + perlite (10-15%) + vermiculite (5%). I've started monitoring ppm of the drain water - the rule is no more nutes if ppm is already high enough. Is it a good idea?
@Tonino, the truth why I am growing this strain is because seeds shop send it to me by mistake. I did order White Widow Auto, but the girl, who processed the order, confused it with CBD White Widow Auto. But I don't mind - I really want to check the difference. Frankly I love MJ not for the giggling, but for the relaxation. So maybe, I don't know for sure - maybe CBD is a perfect choice for me. I am very excited to give it a try.
If it makes me relaxed with a clear mind - it would be just what I am looking for.
A lot of you, guys, say that she is ready. I've checked trichomes one more time this morning, and probably you are right. But I am hesitating. So, I've decided to harvest in two steps - first goes down just a main cola (35 grams).
The smell is wonderful! It smells like vitamin C in tablets, very strong, indeed very sweet and sour. It is like you put a nose into a vitamin C pills bottle and make a deep inhale :) Probably not my favorite aroma in the world, but man it is so strong and fresh and clear!
Guys, I don't like the look of the leaf. The only obvious reason I can think of is the heat (+27C outside the box / 28-30C inside the box). I wonder if I can/should do something about it?
