Trying again with these. I've learned a bunch and have incorporated that learning into this grow - I hope.
Nutrients were added to the soil/substrate, in a slightly larger than 5 gallon batch, well blended, and divided across 2ea 3-gallon fabric pots. Room remains for top dressing and topping off as needed. Measurements defined above are per dry gallon of soil/substrate.
I added a cheap Vick's warm air humidifier in front of my oscillating fan, halfway through the week. Temp/RH much better now... not perfect but as winter approaches, the basement temperature will drop by about 10 degrees (typically) which should improve the VPD in the Basement Grow Zone (BGZ). I've brought BGZ VPD down from 1.7-ish to 1.1 or so.
The four sensors are:
1: BGZ @ eye level
2: BGZ @ canopy
3: BGZ @ knee level
IN: Main Floor Living Space @ waist level

First grow in 'properly' amended soil from the start. Other grow were hampered by supply-line issues. Should only be needing water going forward.
... and lots more light.
Created a pivot table in my Google spreadsheet to better organize and present the data I'm collecting.
My brand new Vevor humidifier took a crap, so... yeah, this will be interesting.
Anyway, also updated some data-geek stuff. Don't get weirded about by the weird growth charts, it's a data collection issue (consistency - leaves up, down, new growth at top, etc.). Now that I have the data presentation bit more or less usable, my data collection methods will see improvement. In theory.
Santa bringing new humidifier and lights before Thanksgiving.
Looking at the comparative growth chart, CCa-001 is leading, though there are so many other variables at play. Remember that this is my first grow with (properly?) pre-loaded substrate. It has also been mostly on the periphery of the light cones. Once my new lights get here, it'll be interesting to compare future grows against this first-gen data. 😎
Lettin the 'sun' shine in.
New lights are here!! 4ea SZHLUX PT-1800 online, and I've got 4 more waiting for another circuit to be run. The older weaker lights will be used for cloning and seedlings around the grow space.
After playing with the new lights, I've set them to 14" above the canopy which provides:
PPFD: 700-ish
Lighting: 20/4
DLI: 40 or so... maybe a bit over.
That might still be a bit much for her at this age, but I'll keep a close eye on her.
