I'm getting back into growing after taking some time off. I chose the Punch Pie strain, which is a collaboration with Mike Tyson's Tyson 2.0 company. I'm starting small as usual, with the seedlings in 0.5L paper cups.
This week has gone well - the plants are responding well to the daily watering schedule. Providing fresh oxygen to the roots is helping them grow effectively. I'm maintaining around 65% humidity using the humidifier. Next week, I plan to increase the nutrient concentration to reach 0.8 EC. I'm also increasing the light intensity to 600 μmol. The plants should thrive with these adjustments.
This week has been successful. I transplanted the plants to their final 8L fabric pots in the middle of the week. I increased the nutrient concentration to 0.8 EC and raised the light intensity to 600 μmol as planned. I also upgraded my lighting system, replacing the old 240W LM301B LED panels with a new 2024 Mars Hydro FC3000 EVO that uses LM301H EVO chips. This new light provides better coverage, distributing light evenly across the entire tent.
This week was much like the last. Feeding levels and PPFD haven’t changed, and the plants are thriving. I did my first-ever topping, and I’m curious to see the results. Next week, I’ll be increasing the nutrients to an EC of 1.1. The plant on the right started off smaller and slower, but it’s caught up well, it’s even taller than the other one now!
The grow has been steady this week, and the plants seem to be responding well to the nutrient increase to an EC of 1.1. I can already see a difference in grow compared to my previous grows where I didn’t top the plants. Next week, I’ll be setting up a scrog net 30 cm above the medium. It’ll also be the final week in veg, after which I’ll switch to bloom and use the scrog net to make the most of my limited space.
The first week of bloom went as planned. I switched the lights to a 12/12 cycle and adjusted the nutrients accordingly. As the plants stretched, I continued filling out the scrog net and also defoliated them.
Flowering is going smoothly. This week marked the end of the early flower phase and the start of mid-flower, with buds developing nicely. Thanks to effective defoliation and a well-executed scrog, there will be plenty of buds directly under the light.
