Germination
2y ago
420Undergrow Day 1 3 seeds were placed in a glass of boiled water. They were then put in a cabinet for 72 hours at a temperature of about 24 degrees. After 48 hours, the seeds had already germinated, but the root extension was still very small. Day 3 Three plastic pots were filled with Compo Light Mix, and the seedlings were placed 0.5cm below the soil. The soil was then well moistened on the surface and placed under a humidity dome. The humidity dome has been in the tent since then, and the light cycle was set to 18/6 at 40% light intensity. The distance to the seedling is 50cm. Exhaust and ventilation are turned off. Day 4 No visible changes. No heads are peeking out of the soil yet. Day 5 2 little heads are already poking out of the soil. Number 3 shows no signs of life yet. Day 6 All 3 seedlings are now visible, with number 3 being by far the smallest. The upper openings of the humidity dome were opened to acclimate to the grow tent. The VPD of the grow tent was set to 0.6 kPa. Day 7 The humidity dome was removed after 24 hours of acclimation. The VPD is at 0.6 kPa. Number 1 has an injury, as one cotyledon tore off and remained in the seed shell. Number 2 is currently the most vigorous. Number 3 seems to be coming along as well, but is still very small.

420Undergrow Day 8 Things are going well, but I'm a bit worried about number 2. The stem is very dark colored, and I'm currently not sure if that's a bad sign. Since the soil felt dry, I gave each of the seedlings three spritzes of water. I also took a few close-up shots. Day 9 From number 3, it can be seen that the light distance of 60cm and the dimming setting of 40% are ideal to prevent stretching. Of course, this only applies to my own setup with the AC Infinity Ionboard S22 grow light. The growth process actually seems very slow to me, but I think that's normal.

420Undergrow Tag 15 The VPD value has been adjusted to 0.7 kPa. Unfortunately, there is a big problem with fungus gnats due to the Compo Grow Organic soil, which is why I won't buy grow soil from a soil manufacturer that doesn't specialize in growing cannabis anymore. Tag 20 Number 2 seems to be lagging a bit, and I've given all 3 a few spritzes of water. Tag 21 Now I have the agony of choice. The cotyledons are turning yellow. This means that nutrient deficiency is setting in. To provide more nutrients, I've watered the 3 with some mixed growth fertilizer. Since the little ones can't handle much water yet, I hope they can tolerate being watered 2 days in a row. However, number 1 also seems to be lagging slowly.

From the 2nd week, they will explode, but of course, they're currently busy with root formation. In some reports, you see a bushy plant after just 1 week, but I think people aren't entirely honest; everyone wants to show that their plants grow the fastest hehe 😅 Everything looks to be on schedule 👌

@Schnabeldino, They are really making bigger leaps now, it's really interesting to watch. But I think you're right with the claim that the others aren't being completely honest. Even with optimal conditions, having a little bush after just a week is very questionable... 😂

Oh 3 beautiful ladies 💚 then I'll take a seat with excitement and look forward to the rest of the report. I wish you 3 healthy ladies and of course a bountiful and especially tasty harvest!

You can also water with nematodes, then you'll be free from fungus gnats.... you can buy it as powder at A*n and mix it with the watering water. I know the problem with the soil, I only buy "good soil" now 😂
