22 days from seed. My grow area is generally cold (unfinished basement with subzero temperatures outside) and this has effected all my plants, I’m not sure if the twisted leaves are a result of that.

Day 28 from seed. Amongst my concerns about temperature I repotted the day after last week’s post. I used primarily Sunshine Soil #4 with a weak mixture of sheep manure compost and worm castings. Despite my stable (low) daytime temperatures I suspect there has been large swings and/or lows at night when my furnace turns off, this has effected all my grows. In an effort to combat temperature lows and raise humidity, today I installed two indirect fluroescent lights (2 x 80W) providing heat, turned off the oscillating fan, raised the plants about ten inches towards the light, and blocked my external ventilation by about half. The Cough is clearly stunted, misformed, and I am hopeful that it will recover. I recently had a Sour Jack (Crop King) variety looking similar and it never recovered or grew, in that case the environment never changed. For comparison, I have other indica grows at the moment that are tolerating the cold better than this sativa variety.

Day 35 from seed. I turned the oscillator fan back on and all my plants seem relieved,m. The increase in temperature and humidity (and decrease of external ventilation) has benefitted all the plants, the Cough especiallg seems to have made a comeback! My grow space is 6’ x 4’, which is a little big, but I have the fan and a small homemade clone tent out of frame. The fluroescents are only adding heat and indirect light. The green is darkening and I think the health of this plant has improved. The stem is also hardening and its less sickly. It has turned into a strange LST experiment at this point.

Day 43 from seed. I continue to tie branches if new growth and starfish the plant out to maximize room. I want to creep the plant along the soil and allow the main stem to grow. If you look at my earlier posts with temperature lows problems, this plant has made a major comeback and looking great.

51 days from seed. This plant started to show signs of overwatering, or deficiency, or what I suspect is light intensity/heat stress. This was the first plant to start showing signs. I top dressed this plant and the vegging Buddha as they were older, using Sunshine Soil #4, worm castings, sheep manure compost, and bone meal thinking it was deficiency. All my veg. tent plants suddenly looked tired, stressed, etc. It could be a variety of things but after debating over a lengthy vape session Max Pointy eventually said, “well... you have to do something.” So I moved everything to the original height. I unfortunately have stunted the growth in any case and will have to take extra veg. time to hopefully recover.

Day 57 from seed. This plant has had quite a life. Cold nighttime temperature swings before I altered my ventilation and light set up. Then light stress from being too close to the light. Despite all this, this has made one of the larger recoveries. It is slowly turning green. I topped the main stalk because it had grown taller (and subsequently droopy becuse of the stress) and ran out of pot space, it is showing quite a bit of new growth in that area. This is a good sign! I am being very patient and am not discouraged.

Day 65 from seed. This plant is fully recovered from light stress! It regained green and I also applied Miracle Gro 21-8-14 All Purpose plant food which it really enjoyed. Getting to a darker green with some nice fan leaves. This is a resilient strain. I tied down a couple more branches and transplanted to a larger final pot that I acquired.

Day 78 from seed. I have prepped it for flower by heavy defoliating and selecting the best branches. It seems to bounce back easily. I will be making the switch to 12/12 in about two weeks. I recently fed Miracle Gro 24–8-16 All Purpose plant food.

Day 108 from seed. Two weeks of flowering complete. It has been getting 18-18-21 Miracle Gro Tomato plant food through the stretch, and I’ll be switching to flowering food soon. I majorly defoliated/lollipopped the branches. Everything looks good and its starting to look significantly different than the other plants in my flowering tent.

Day 115 from seed, three weeks of flowering finished. Everything is looking strong and bushy. The leaves have many fingers and this plant’s green stands out amongst my others. Its been just water lately from schedule timing. Max Pointy and I have been researching the light spectrum, and the specs of the large grow lights, and elected to purchase some yellow/red spectrum LED light bulbs to flesh out the flowering range. It fills in a noticeable drop in spectrum of the large light. They have a 16 actual wattage rating each, so I added 80W (One bulb was a dud, I will be looking to add one more to make six). The plants seem to have responded well and are producing buds at a seemingly faster rate. With timing its hard to gauge the benefits until i grow a few more plants.

Day 136 from seed. Six weeks of flowering complete, three to go. I haven’t grown Strawberry Cough before but I suspect massive lollipopping/defoliation hurt my yield. Regardless, these buds are frosty and quite literally rock hard. They smell sweet and in general my tent is mixing all the smells and strengths, I would still list it as normal smelling. Just water since all the food in prep. for a last feeding of molasses squeezed in before the end flush. I am preparing for future generations that have forced me to use larger pots and/or make more room, so I lowered the plants down.

Day 150 from seed. Eight weeks of flowering complete, one to go. Finally! Almost there. The plant is really finishing up and the coloring is darkening. You can tell its using up every last nutrient and becoming deficient / dying. I’ll give it one last flush, some darkness, and harvest soon. This plant was a beauty.

Day 154 from seed. Call it nine weeks of flowering. Quick turn around as I want to give 24 hours of dark and then harvest. Just a preview of the final buds. There was a breeze and the buds are so dense that when disturbed they just sway seemingly forever. At least two of those pictures are blurry as a result. It may have got a little deficient as it used up the nutrients but it makes for a nice visual. As with others of this batch of plants I think I went too far with defoliation/lollipopping and that probably hurt the final yield. Smells good!

Happy Harvest Day!

Strawberry Cough is definitely a recommendable strain. This particular plant bounced back from nighttime temperature issues and light damage to produce some beautiful, dense buds. Sweet, fruity smelling resin. No problems taking nutrients. Mild to moderate sativa high with a nice smooth taste that isn’t fuel or pine-like; just pure strawberry. This is a strong mixer weed that pairs with anything. I would for sure put Dutch Passion’s Strawberry Cough on a must-try list.

No issues with harvest. Yield was hurt because of lollipopping, defoliation techniques. I just went at the plant too intensely with the scissors. The bud that did appear was great. This plant had a complicated history anyway, it tells a great story. It really spans much of my grow history so far. Still very happy with the strain itself. I’ve gotta get the yield up, still a noob!

Yields getting better every grow, but you are plateauing because of the light. Light is the food, not the soil, so regardless of technique, youre starving the girl. The new hps and led touve added will make a world of harvest diff and greatly shorten your veg time. Quadruple your Yields i think

Yield size aside, I was well pleased with the results for two hours in my kayak after 4 puffs off this heavenly red filtered premium doobie. 10/10 would do it again. I feel like this strain would also help me to count cards.

@Visions, the high is mild sativa, which isn’t bad. Mellow, manageable. If you are into berry and fragrant smells and tastes, its 10/10. 11/10! Just a nice strong but also light strawberry. Like you can smell it instantly when you crack the container. And Dutch Passion appears to be decent in my limited experience.

Love the anti bugs light, dindt know it exists 😂 And talking about what you said about the yield, to mee looks like too early yellowing , (i would fed more) more than defoliation thing, but im not an exppert in indoor so just a humble opinion ^^ Looks delicious even so :P Nice strain and nice grow !!! Enjoy that Strawberry joints ^^
