Indoor CBG

Sadom 29.10.: The first real week of growth begins and both little plants look pretty good so far. The second set of leaves is already starting to grow on both. Currently, Geno#1 is 9cm tall and Geno#2 is 6cm tall. I don't have a fan or exhaust in my seedling box right now. I just open the box a few times to give the little ones some fresh air. I'm using a 75W QuantumBoard light that's dimmed to about 60%. In the next few days, there won't be much for me to do except watch them grow. As a little extra, I sprayed both with some Aminosol, which is just awesome stuff! Oh, and the little things growing in the pots weren't intentionally sown. There were probably some tomato seeds left in the compost that have now also germinated. Let's see what I do with them. 31.10.: Not much has happened so far. The first real leaf pairs are starting to develop, and Geno#1 is a bit wobbly on its feet compared to Geno#2. I also installed a circulation fan so they have some air movement in the tent. 03.11.: Both are developing quite well. However, I've noticed that the new leaves on Geno#2 are a bit oddly shaped. It looks a little like the leaf tips were cut or bitten off. Maybe the little caterpillar that found its way inside had a little snack. I don't think it should be a lasting problem since the caterpillar was immediately taken outside. Otherwise, both look super strong and healthy. No complaints so far.

Sadom 05.11.: The two young plants are developing great. Geno#1 has now grown to 11cm and Geno#2 to 8cm. At the beginning, it always takes a little while for the growth to really kick in, but once they're in their proper pots, they practically explode in growth. I estimate it will take until next week for that to happen. Until then, it just means moistening the soil a bit here and there, and the rest will happen on its own. Unfortunately, I have a small fungus gnat infestation throughout the apartment, but help is already on the way. Nematodes have proven to be very effective in the fight against fungus gnats and will be used again this time. 11.11.: The fungus gnats are definitely still fully present, but I think it will take a little while for the nematodes to take effect. Otherwise, the two are being watered regularly but mostly left alone. They have slowly reached a size where they could be repotted very well. However, since I will be unexpectedly moving soon, I definitely won’t be putting them in their 115L pots. I will repot them, but only into max 2L pots and keep them as small as possible. Hopefully, they'll hold on until they can be transported to the new home.

Sadom 13.11.: Both little plants are doing quite well and look pretty strong. Meanwhile, Geno#1 is 19cm tall and Geno#2 is 17cm tall. To slow down their growth a bit, I've dimmed the light a little more. This also means less heat is emitted from the light, causing the temperature to drop, which should also reduce growth. So far, I haven't managed to transplant them into slightly larger pots, which is partly due to time constraints but also space issues. Maybe they'll have to endure a bit longer in their mini pots.
