I put the seed in a rockwool cube, put that in some FoxFarms Ocean Forest, and hoped for the best. I have it going under 20/4 light/dark cycle. Trying to keep it cool is the biggest challenge for me, I also want the most light for it possible. I have no idea what I'm doing, I've never grown anything before.
Successfully got through germination. Now i just need her to survive this brutal 95F. Thankfully the inside of the tent doesnt go above 85, It's still a challenge to keep her cool without AC.
Everything is looking good starting week 2!
Getting some odd splotching; maybe PH? I checked the PH with a Vivosun soil tester and normal Vivosun PH stick tester. The soil meter was saying alkaline but the stick was reading acidic. The run off and watering solution both read at 6.0.
I don't like or trust the soil tester. it says that the soil is dry when it is drowning, there's no light, and the soil is always alkaline.
week 3!
The odd discoloration seems to be going away or at least calming down. I still don't know what caused it. I suspect a PH imbalance but I can't be 100%.
I've started aggressively training the plant to bend over. I'm hoping to create a spiral with the main stem, wish me luck. I don't think the plant will live long enough to do a full turn but it'll be fun to try.
It's cooled down finally so I keep the light on 75% 60cm away for 24 hours.
I want to srog it but it just gets in the way of low stress training. Maybe later when it's harder to manage with LST ill try it again.
The main stem broke off while bending it for LST. I put cloning gel on it to hopefully speed up recovery and seal the wound.
the bud sites are looking great I counted at least 13 of them. I cut out 2 fan leaves that were deep inside the bush not getting any light, they were already not looking great. The wound on top is healing nicely, i just hope it doesnt mess up the harvest.
Yo ! Be careful not to put the light too strong and too close at the start, when it germinates it's very fragile and that's probably why the leaf burns. 60 cm is good but maybe too much power.
It's a fairly easy seed to grow, you just need to be careful with light and temperature at the start.
Good luck bro ! & happy growing ! 💪
