Week 1 Update: Strange Leaf Growth – Advice Needed!
Hey everyone! My seedling is in week 2, and it’s already showing some unusual growth. Instead of the usual two leaves from the first node, it’s pushing out multiple leaves! After some research, it seems like a possible mutation called polyphylly, but I’m still figuring out what this might mean for its future.
Quick Details:
Strain: Unknown
Age: 2 weeks
Lighting: LED at 60 cm
Setup: Indoor, controlled environment
Observations & Questions: The plant looks healthy overall—green, strong stem, no signs of stress. But with these extra leaves, I’m wondering:
1. Should I let it grow naturally or start training early to control the density?
2. Could this mutation affect airflow or lead to mold problems later?
3. Will this unusual growth pattern impact the final yield?
If anyone has experience with this kind of mutation, I’d love your insights! Thanks in advance, and I’ll keep updating as things progress. Happy growing!
I love that I came by your page, I really like what I see!. If you have time to spare, I have some crazy things going on right now so feel free to come over if you’d like.
Best of wishes. 💜
