A day and half after transplant, looking better, no nutes yet, should be enough ferts in the Ocean Forest for a few more days.
Started out in Coco Coir run to waste system, but I abandoned that pretty quickly, too high maintenance for me.
The girls are now in 2gal pots with F.F. Ocean Forest soil, I've used this soil before with decent results.
Wish me luck ;)
Added a little fertilizer and recharge for first time today, 11/2, these plants dont like to be watered, they seem to do best in semi dry soil.
Only water about once a week 2-3 cups, #2 plant on right is a couple days behind #1 on left.
Going to start bending and training soon. Had a few canoeing leaves last week, VPD was too high 2.0k yikes, got it down between 0.9 to about 1.4.
Only running small fan ATM, running the main vent fan with carbon filter sucks all the humidity out dropping it down to 38%.
Run off PH is 6.4, feed ph was 6.38, the girls look ok, a bit droopy after watering, but they always do that, perk up in about a day.
Gave them a spray of neem oil for preventative, dont anticipate bugs issues but you never know.
Started LST training earlier in the week, I like my bitches bent over and tied down ;), actually this is my first time trying LST , hard to tell in the pics but there are wire wrap and string holding the main stem down.
Think I'll just do a spiral around the pot, seems easy enough.
First full dose of fertilizers, well just under that, will flip next week. Girls look healthy, got my VPD under control, no more canoeing leaves, all it took was putting a couple cups of water in a small tub with a sponge, and leaving the main vent fan off,
This is last week of Veg, Flipped on 11/15, since then new growth looks a little yellow, gave full does of nutes 3 days before flip.
Might be too little water.
EDIT : There was a light leak in my grow tent so this is actually week 5 of Veg.
End of week 1 of flower.
The new growth stating yellowing after I let the soil get too dry, thought it might a nitrogen deficiency but its all the new growth so it prolly sulfur.
Bought some Epsom salts and when its time I'll give the girls a dose.
Broke off the main stem on the top node while trying to bend the stem on the left plant, DOH!, so mad at myself.
Girls look ok even with the yellowing.
Should start seeing some little buds soon, Started adding bud booster with feedings, using the Megacrop Bud Explosion.
I found a light leak, I got suspicious when after about 2weeks of 12/hr of light plants were still growing and not stretching, plus no little buds.
Leak has been fixed and after just 2 days plants start stretching showing signs of asymmetrical growth at the nodes, you can see in couple pictures I took.
The yellowing might not of have been a deficiency but rather just normal for new growth, which turned green after a day or two.
Couple leave show sign s of CalMg deficiency, added half strength Megacrop version of CalMg.
The girls look healthy and are getting bushy due to my LST training, will do some pruning at next feed.
End of 2nd week of flower update:
Hooray I have buds!
Little buds starting forming about a week ago and they have put on a little weight.
Starting adding bloom booster IE; Bud Explosion from Mega-crop.
Couple leaves on plant#2 shows signs of calcium deficiency, so I've been adding Cal+Mg Pro
My LST skills are a tad lacking, this is my first attempt so its not too bad, should of started training a bit earlier.
other than that Girls look healthy and happy :).
Started 4th week of flower.
Girls are looking good, buds are putting on some weight, doubled in size since last time.
Starting to see sugar on some the leaves :).
Increased dosages on base and bud explosion, plants seem to want more.
Buds are increasing but could be bigger IMO.
Haven't checked temps or humidity in a while, doesn't seem necessary, plants are doing fine.
Stopping the CalMg this week, just Mega Crop one part and Bud Explosion.
Not exactly an even canopy, but close enough.
Girls look good, buds are getting bigger, starting to really smell, every time I open the tent I'm hit the face with a sweet Afghani smell.
3-4 weeks to go, one of the Afghani's smells real skunky, maybe a phenotype or a mix up at seed bank, slipped in an Afghan Skunk instead
of Afghan #1
Sorry I'm a few days behind on my update.
One of the girls is defiantly not Afghani, dont know what Herbies Seeds sent but its not what I paid for.
Leaves are thinner and bud structure is not the xmas shape of an Afghan, more like block shape, plus its taking longer to finish.
Any way they look good.
About to harvest, nothing but water for almost 2 weeks now.
Plant on the right is about ready, will start cutting down in a day or two.
Left one needs about another week.
Had a little bit of a gnat problem but some neem oil and yellow traps took care of that.
