First germination attempt. placed seed between damp paper towel. My house is kept rather cold ( 65ºF ), so I placed it inside my tent to keep it warm. Temp inside the tent is 80.2ºF and average of 65% humidity.
Week 2 officially starts today. Looks like she's growing a little slower than other similar diaries I've seen. However, she does appear healthy. Color looks good, no wilting.
I noticed a lot of yellowing on the leaves. After checking the Vivosun website for the LED lamp I'm using, their chart indicated that I should have the light much further away from the plant. The chart said 24" at 50% intensity. They were at 10" at 70% intensity. This has been adjusted, and I'm hoping not to see yellowing on the newer leaves going forward.
On the first day of week 3, I transplanted to her final pot, a 5 gallon fabric pot. I was a little unsure if she was ready, but once I removed her from the solo cup, I could see she had a very strong root system, but wasn't quite root bound yet, so I think it was perfect timing.
Additionally, I topped the highest node on day 15
On day 19, I started some LST on the highest nodes.
She seems to be recovering well from the topping last week. Continuing with the LST on the top nodes. Grew from 4" to 6.5"
Began to see pistils at day 25, and the next couple days they started showing up everywhere. Beginning pre-flower stage.
Lots of budding sites, very healthy color, no yellowing, very thick foliage.
Defoliated some of the fan leaves on the lower nodes, and a few higher ones that were blocking flowering sites.
Flowers are coming in nicely. Lots of trichromes coming in.
I noticed some brown spots showing up, and a friend said it's likely Mg deficiency. I know I've been feeding enough, so I checked the pH, and it looks like the pH was WAAAAY to high, around 9. Created some homemade pH down using Citric Acid, and got the pH down to around 6-7
