I received a Gorilla Cookies seed from Sebastian and Bernie from Fast Buds. They visited me and filmed my grow. So I just had to try it out and prepared a fabric pot with the seed directly in the substrate.
In the 3rd week i topped her twice as an experiment. Bending the new tops with LST hooks to form a better basis for the plant. At the end of week 3 the first pre flower showed up :)
In the first flower week, the training really showing the potential of the plant. Beautiful growth and all in all a really stunning plant! I started to use biobizz fertilizer to support the flowerphase.
Now the flowers are really developing and forming the final form of the plant. 6 main Buds with beautiful flowers. Unfortunately the leaf tips start to yellow, showing a slight fertilizer overdosage.
In the 3rd flower week the trichomes start to build up. And a fine purple color is forming in the buds :) But the problems with overfeeding continue, i am using a living soil with organic fertilizer. To this moment i didn't know that the problems are overfeeding.
In this week I still had the issues with the damages to the leafs and was not sure how to fix the issue since it was my first run with organic fertilizer. The information that organic fertilizer are able to overfeed your plants depending on the substrate you are using, found me the end of the week.
To cure the overfeeding, I decided to flush the substrate and completely stop the feeding with fertilizer and just water it with calmag. Suddenly the damages stopped to expand to the other leafs. I flushed it from a 5.7 EC to a 0.8 EC
The colors are absolute stunning, the small is very strong and very sweet paired with a distinct earthy smell. No more leafs with new damages, so the overfeeding with organic fertilizer is fixed. All in all is the plant very healthy and pray to the light source :)
Now i am checking the trichomes every 3 days to check if its harvest time. The Plants look very healthy, and the buds get heavier and heavier. To support the buds and the branches, I implemented some wire isolation tubes, to prevent any mold that might form with wooden sticks.
When I open the tent in the morning, the first thing I notice is the absolutely overwhelming smell that hits you in the face like a baseball bat. Every neighbor can probably smell it, with no filter to contain it. The buds have become so heavy that they're now bending the stems. This might be my biggest harvest yet. I'm visiting my girlfriend over the weekend, so I won't be home until Sunday. However, I'm fairly certain I'll be harvesting on Sunday.
