A week after the FIM cut and I man not sure it worked correctly, as the cut leaves let growing. I moved the bigger sister to a bigger pot, and I will probably switch to 12/12 in 1 week. I will move the younger sister outside and see the difference in growth

Grow Questions

I read that this is a rather uncommon mutation, and given that they are growing so diferentes in speed and shape, I now wonder about the sex. The seeds are supposed to be feminized, but does anybody know what could happen in this case?

That's a pretty awesome mutation! If you purchased the seed as fem they should be female. The chance of a true fem seed growing into a male is like 1 in 1000 or possibly even rarer than that. The reason for the differences in growth could be a couple of things. 1 would be that even though they are twins they may not be identical. That would mean they would likely grow at different rates as you are experiencing and they will have features unique from each other such as leaf shape, bud shape, and internodal spacing. 2, you may have stunted the one that's growing slower by doing the separation. If you happened to damage the root of the smaller one a little when you separated them it would have taken the plant a little bit of time to recover before it could resume growing full speed again.

Any good experience with FIM? Mine did not produce any results. The main stem just kept growing and you can see how the leaves that were cut in the FIM kept growing like nothing happened.

This will happen sometimes , when you FIM you have to take almost the whole node . Its ideal to do it with good sharp clean scissors or scapule but essentially you wanna take away like 3/4 of the node this will encourage more then 2 nodes to come up you have to also keep in mind that FIM has random results sometimes it works and sometimes it don't thats the nature of the beast but when it works it works and it does awesome things , I think this is just a case of you didnt take enough of the node away for it to react like that . On your next try take a little more of the node and see what happens this way you can experiment a bit and see if its even worth your time to try this technique . I hope this information helps shed some light into your grow . -Happy Growing!

I think it's sort of like luck...if you really just shave the top bit off, maybe it'll split..maybe not. The whole "F*ck I Missed" thing is definitely not a misnomer. I think the further down that you fim the more luck you'll have because it gets closer and closer to just topping. I heard this very old school grower named Clackmas coot say topping and fiming aren't necessary, that tying down that top stem securely would produce similar results to topping without the delay recovery time. I don't know if this is true, but I know this man has a much greater knowledge of the cannabis plant than I ever will. Lol. Since you've flipped to 12/12 no luck of trying again on this plant right? Or will you try another fim since its so early?

Hi man for first thing good luck for your grow! I have two twins from my crystal candy too. I chose not to separate the plants and for the moment they grow in the same way. I used only the pot bigger than usually and nothing else. We will see who have choice the best way between us. Look at my diary i have posted a video too. Happy growing 🙏 GGG

@GreenGoldGrower, did they grow the same? Mine have noticeable difference in height and leaf shape for now. How about gender?

@GreenISR, the problem is that the dominant one would end up eating up all the resources and light and end up killing the sister.
