Lit Farms Rainbow zoap

BombBuds Here we go again! This time with top-notch genetics 😁 Germination and the first week of growth went perfectly. I've already got yellow sticky traps ready to keep an eye on any fungus gnat infestations since I had issues with those little pests in my last grow. Next to them, there are two pots with 8" bagels (also from Lit Farms). This time, they'll get their own report to keep things clearer and so I can focus more on the individual strains.

BombBuds The rainbow zoap performs really well. I'm very satisfied with it so far. It's different with the 8" Bagel, which should get its own report because unfortunately, nothing happened with it and it had a germination rate of 0% 😩 However, the support from lit farms kindly offered to send more seeds of the same or alternatively a different strain. I had two or three fungus gnats in there, but they got stuck right on the yellow stickers. I then watered with nematodes just in case one of them laid eggs.

BombBuds I repotted today (Day 17). So far, everything is going pretty well. Unfortunately, two or three fungus gnats have appeared. We’ve ordered predatory mites now. Let’s see how they perform. I’ve trimmed all the little ones down a notch this week.

BombBuds So the ladies are now a decent size, that's why I started training the side branches with garden wire.

BombBuds I just topped for the second time. Everything looks really good. I think I already have two phenos because one is growing quite a bit smaller and bushier than the other two.

BombBuds This week I didn't do anything except train the tied-down branches a bit more. I think they’re a good size now. I removed a few more leaves and will switch to flowering on day 39-42.

BombBuds Unfortunately, the flies have come back… I'm treating again with predatory mites. Otherwise, everything is okay. I had the fungus gnats in the canna soil from the start twice now, and a friend of mine had it once with canna soil as well. I can't recommend this!

BombBuds The mites have done a good job again. Everything looks good again! I'll keep them at the same height and spread them out with wire and net for as long as the stretch continues. At the beginning of next week, I'll do a defoliation and maybe a bit of lollipopping. And the light intensity will also go up to 100% next week.

BombBuds Now it's getting exciting! I'm curious to see how they perform now. I did a little defoliation. This time, nothing was gelollipopped because I have a canopy diameter of 30-40cm, and that's all in the area where the light reaches strong enough. They also look top top healthy again and are praying to the light. I'm also pleased with the trichome production so far; they're really ramping up! At the end of the week, I'll remove any unnecessary leaves again if needed, and then I'll leave them alone.

BombBuds At the end of the week, I'll defoliate again. They're slowly changing color and getting really frosty. Aside from that, I've stopped watering with a proper dryback, so the ladies are now getting exactly the amount of water they need every 2 days, just enough to keep the soil from being too wet and not too dry.

BombBuds So they look mega and the buds are swelling nicely now, and the plants themselves are great. BUT Those damn pests won't go away! Now the fungus gnats are finally gone, and suddenly there are thrips. Not too many, but they're there….. So for the next grow, I'm going to use a large part of coco as substrate. It’s supposed to be sterile, and the pests don’t like it! Besides that, it’s said to also bring in better yields, and the terpenes are apparently higher too. The terps are crazy! I didn't expect that. I'm really amazed, it smells just like 10/10 top shelf! Hats off to Lit Farms. From now on, I'm going to give a little less nutrients and slightly reduce the water amount starting next week.

BombBuds Here we go, the buds are swelling. Pest infestation is just about under control….. The colors are really incredible, I've never seen anything like this before! Starting this week, a little less fertilizer.

BombBuds The colors are getting more and more spectacular, it's insane! Pest infestation is going down again. Nematodes were applied a second time, and from this week on, the circulation fans are set to a higher intensity.

BombBuds Last week! One more watering but just a little so they have a bit of dry stress and the trichomes can swell up again. No more nutrients, just pH neutral water. The smell is super awesome! The appearance is also a 10/10. I'm really excited for the final product!

BombBuds Harvest time! Dried for 9 days at ~55% humidity and 20 degrees. Trimmed dry. All popcorn nugs and trimmings processed into hash.
