Grow Diary Entry: Harvest with a Friend’s Purple Punch
120 days ago, my friend decided to take a leap into cannabis growing by planting a Purple Punch seed directly in the soil of his summer house yard. With limited experience but a lot of enthusiasm, he nurtured the plant through the summer months, and now it’s time for the rewarding part – harvest! He invited me to join him for this special moment, as I’ll be taking on the drying and curing process to bring out the best in this lovely strain.
Despite a few minor issues with bud rot here and there, the plant grew beautifully, producing frosty, smooth buds with a deep, rich purple aroma that’s as eye-catching as it is fragrant. The harvest exceeded both of our expectations – the buds are dense, sticky, and exude that classic Purple Punch sweetness with hints of berry and grape. It’s a much smoother smoke than I anticipated, proving that sometimes nature can surprise us with the quality it brings.
I’m looking forward to gifting him a quarter of my own grow soon – a Cali strain I’m really excited about. It’ll be fun to see how it compares to the Purple Punch, but for now, I’m just proud to have been part of his successful harvest journey. Here’s to many more grows and sharing the fruits of our labor!
