I'm starting this grow with the intent of discovering if it's money-worth to use the full set of nutrients with all the possible additives or it's best to use just the base set of nutrients. Will use coco+perlite for both plants, coco is at its second use, before use it has been thoroughly washed with tap water to remove salts and cocodust and then rebuffered with RO water+ calmag(200% solution) for 48 hours. Canna coco is the selected brand, "base" plant is only gonna get canna coco A+B, pk 13/14, and a general silica additive while "pro" plant is also gonna get all the rest (canna rhizotonic, canna cannazym, canna bloom boost, and advanced nutrients bud factor X). edit day 25: calmag has been added to the list of nutes both plants get cause I forgot I need to use it with RO water, more info at week 4. Light intensity (dim) is set at 25% At day one both plants received water + calmag At day 3 plants started receiving the selected nutrient solution twice per day

base: canna coco a+b + silicon pro: all the rest mentioned slowly turning the lights dimmer knobs every day to reach 75% light intensity pro plant is 5cm tall and base is 4cm tall, overall i can see pro is doing a little better but i think it's just because, pro emerged half a day before base plant, it's too early to make assumptions

base: coco A+B, silicon ; 6cm tall pro: all the rest mentioned ; 7cm tall Right now I'm still working to get to 75% light intensity (dimmer), at the moment it's at 50%, I noticed both pro and base have plenty of roots sticking out of the bottom of the pot and they both have almost 3 nodes, I probably need to trasplant in the near future, maybe when the 4th node appears. Both plants are getting 1.1 EC of nutrients, base is getting a bit more a+b to fill the presence of the missing nutrients. I'm going to do mainline on both these plants, at day 17 growth tips of first and second node of both plants were big enough to remove safely. Trasplanted both at day 19 and 20 (pro and base)

On day 19 I trasplanted pro plant into 8 liters pot, on day 20 I did it also for base plant, both had a very good root mass encircling the entirety of the small pot they were in, I noticed both plants' leaves were curling on the tips and starting to burn (I think) so I dialed down a bit the nutrients to 600ppm. Pro plant is exploding in growth and doing very good, base plant is behind, not much in development, since they both have 5 nodes, but rather in size, pro is much bigger being 12cm tall, while base is much bushier being just 9cm tall. Temperature got higher at 24-25 C because of the lights now being at 75% intensity, they are led but nontheless they are so damn hot. On day 25 I realized I made 2 big mistakes and I'm furious because it's not really my fault, especially for the first mistake which is: I started noticing calcium deficiency and I went again in the rabbit hole of "do you need to add calmag to canna coco nutrient line even tho it already have calmag in A+B?", and I say again because I already knew, I just forgot that indeed yes you do need to add additional calmag if you use RO water because apparently canna coco line is designed to work with tap water and even if you can chose RO water from the nutrient chart calculator, and they spam everywhere that canna coco is a complete line and you don't need anything else, they don't tell you you need to add calmag, they even have a calmag product, they could just add it to the list of nutrients you need in the feed chart if you use RO water but no, they tell you in a small FAQ question if you go really deep searching for it, absolute BS. The second mistake is about EC in the nutrient solution, both plants were showing signs of nutrient burn, and it just could not have been only because of the calcium deficiency, so I did a light flush with 0.5 EC and started researching again and I discovered that I wasn't properly taking care of my pH/EC tester (I did not know you need to store it in buffer solution, it wasn't mentioned in the instruction pamphlet) and it was not well calibrated anymore, both for ph and EC, it was indeed a very cheap one, so I discarded it and bought the milwaukee EC60 PRO and the milwaukee PH55 PRO, with the relative buffer calibrating solutions and I confirmed that readings were far off, I basically was giving the plants up until now, 1.6 EC of nutrient solution 💀💀.. but to be fair, to me everything was fine since run off readings were not showing something was off and from the canna coco feed chart calculator, out of the 3 possible feeding strenght (light feeding, normal, aggressive feeding), I was using the light feeding, and the chart said 2ml of A and 2 ml of B per liter of solution and that combined with the other supplements was going to give me a 1EC solution which is what the pH/EC tester was giving back, so again, to me there wasn't really something off up until the nutrient burn signs.

Base plant gets only silica, calmag, and A+B. Pro plant gets all the rest mentioned ; removed first node growth tips on day 29. Starting again from what I wrote in the previous week, I'm playing around with the nutrient solution concentration, 1ml calmag, 1ml silica, 0.8ml A, 0.8ml B, 2ml rhizotonic, 2.5 ml cannazym, in 1 liter, the correctly calibrated EC tester, gives back 1.3EC, and base plant solution is 1.2EC (included are some drops of ph- for correct ph of the solution), but just the silica and calmag gives back 0.6EC, so that does not leave me much more to add the A+B. 1.3 is indeed too much atm so I diluted it to 1EC with RO water and thus, since I do batches of 5L of solution I will have to use this for the next 3 feeds (I feed twice a day), but from the next batch I will probably give 0.5ml silica and 0.5-0.7ml cal mag, to have more room for A+B (cannazym and rhizotonic are not the problem, I tested it, these quantities add only 0.1 EC to the solution). Base is not very vigorous, after topping she's now still 12cm tall on day 30, while pro is 20cm, even tho, she's not sick, I don't know if I just got one seed which is vigorous and tall genetically and another one which is much bushier, or if the difference in feeding is that influential on growth, but probably a much larger sample would've been better to test this, but well , that's what I can afford to do now. Plants are responding very well to the toppings + LST especially of course pro, after a few days of 1EC nutrient solution, I calculated EC of run off and it had plenty of room to give the plants more nutrients (0.5 EC pro, and 0.6 EC base) so at the moment they are getting 1.3 EC pro and 1.1EC base

base gets silica, calmag and A+B pro gets all the rest I feel pro it's almost ready to be trasplanted to the last 18 liters pot, I've begun buffering the additional coco required, base will probably need a bit more time, but both at the moment have roots sticking out the bottom and randomly in the middle of the fabric pot Pro trasplanted at day 38 and base at day 42, both had a very good root mass

base is getting, silica, calmag, ab ; 18cm tall pro is getting all the rest ; 26cm tall 1.3 EC for pro is still too much, new leaves are showing nutrient burn, i have dropped to 1.2EC, base is not showing nutrient burn but still i have dropped to probably 0.9EC or even less cause the leaves are all twisted and strange looking, both plants are not doing great i think, probably it all comes down to the calmag deficiency i accidentally induced, i hope now with the new well buffered coco it's gonna get better, will veg for longer to make them very big. It's getting cold again, temperatures have dropped a bit. mid week I did some additional LST to pro and it's going pretty well now (end of week) both plants are getting their strength back and started growing vigorously again

base is getting AB, calmag and silica (will also get pk 13/14) pro is getting the complete line I had to stop LST for pro cause while moving the plants because reasons, I dropped something on pro and main trunk started splitting in 2 and a main branch was half broken, written as that it seems pretty critical but I quickly fixed it with some tape and I have to say, the plant seems pretty much unbothered by the incident, day 52 pro is 2 days after the incident. They both started drinking much more so I'm giving more volume, and I'm slowly increasing the EC of the solution, the run off is almost 50% less EC than the solution, this should indicate that the plant wants more nutrients but I'm going slow because also before there was this situation, I gave more and plants started burning. Day 52 is the time for base to get LST Plants are both big enough that now I had to switch from humidifier to dehumidifier to keep RH to 55% Pro is getting bigger and bigger, 1.3EC is fine for now, base, after the LST is stagnating a bit in growth

Base gets only ab, calmag, silica and (will) pk 13/14 Pro gets the complete line Pro is growing very well, i've started a lollipop process, will slowly prune what is not necessary, i don't know if i'll do a full lollipop or what but that's it, i'm also trying to keep everything leveled with the trellis net and garden wire, i have to say it's more work than anticipated, various branches always try to be dominant over the other. While pro is still growing strong, base kinda stopped, i've pruned some little branches and leaves to base as well. I've started lowering a bit the pH of the feeding solution, the relative run off is having me a bit worried being always at 6.3-6.6 range with feeding solution ad 5.7-5.9, the EC of the run off is lower than the feeding solution tho so i don't know what is creating this situation. Pro has started drinking a LOT not even 5 liters is enough anymore, i've started giving her twice a day 6 liters

base gets silica, calmag, AB, roughly 1.2EC of nutrients, out of those, i give 1ml more of B, 10 liters per day, she drinks a bit less than pro pro gets all that is listed Finally switched to 12-12, plants are doing hella fine, pro is huge standing at 50cm tall, while base is 35cm tall. I continue to prune some branches and remove leaves as I feel necessary, i removed the tape from the broken branch and it seems it's healed well, the main trunk did not healed all the way through but still, it's not causing problems and it's not splitting without the tape so it's a win win situation, slowly turning the light intensity dimmers to 100%

base gets only silica, calmag, AB ; 58cm tall, 1.2EC pro gets all that is mentioned ; 1.5EC This week I did some major lollipopping, defoliation and pruning on pro to clean it up a bit, I also noticed some of the top leaves having strange brown spots, it's not something widespread for now, it seems some nutrient deficiency/toxicity but I think it's just wind burn, I modified a bit the airfans setup. I have to be honest I'm liking how base is growing and looking much more than pro, yes pro is thicc as hell but is a bit messy, base is very clean and with all the colas leveled to the same height more or less, pro has much more diversity. I noticed some cock and balls on base sadly.. I think she went herma goddammit, I thought I wasn't giving that much stress to the plants but apparently not :( I removed all the male formation I could find but probably both plants have already been impollinated, it happened also to the grow before this one, it's not the end of the world, I will have to harvest a bit early to avoid the seed to be formed 100% but it's a pain nontheless. I will keep a closer look on both plants
