Just flipped to flower Sunday. Very happy with color and spacing. Started grow with my normal Dyna Gro nutes. Due to yet another grow hitting problems in soil with DG decided to switch. Using Osmocote 2.5 scoops per 5 gallon pot scratched into top. Added 1.5 table spoons of domolite lime sprinkled on top of soil. Been using only rain water with ph of 7 and TDS of 12 for about 3 weeks now. The girls are loving it!
The first week since flipping to 12/12 has been great. Girls are growing fast. Gonna get really tight in the tent. 11/9 added some gypsum as a different grow I'm finishing is showing some calcium deficieny late in flower. Waiting one more week then plan to add some potash to help with bud production. So far so good. Still super happy with the grow to this point.
Another great week of just giving rain water every 2 days. Noticed from others grows, she stays in veg/pre flower a bit longer than most. Just starting to show pistols and early bidsites now. Later this week will probably add some potash to keep up with bud production. Still loving watching these girls grow. The space has gotten quite tight and the girls are fighting for the light. Chose to do no training or topping this grow, only leaf tucking. Girls still steady growing in height and width daily. Curious to see how full the tent gets.
Starting week 4 flower now. Theses ladies are doing great. No signs of any deficiency thus far. Decided to hold off on potash at this point. Noticed ladies fighting for light hard and middle lady trying to take it all. I removed the exhaust fan and opened the tent on the sides. Then I added another king led 4000w light. Both 24 in with bloom only turned on at a par of 850. That was done on Saturday, and by Sunday could already see a big difference in bud production. Added recharge with last watering. Hoping the ladies continue on happy and building!
Starting week 5 now. Still just watering with rain water. Girls still doing exceptionally well. Still no deficiencies and 2 of outer plants now trying to out grow center plant. Trichromes starting to form. Good leaf colors and room really starting to fill up with bud sites.
The Holidays caused a little headache this past week. Was a few hours late on water schedule due to holiday commitments. Found the middle plant had sucked all the water out and went into underwater stage. A few of the giant fan leaves took a hit, but not too bad. Didn't change anything other than water schedule to every day now and the leaves had no further damage/discoloration. All leaves still praying and doing good. Trichromes starting to pick up on all the plants now. Had a situation in my other tent with a plant that shouldn't have been saved, that i saved, and seems to have slightly hermied and I didn't catch it. Not terrible, as out of a 6 oz plant, I found 42 seeds. Hoping that tent doesn't effect this room, but it's possible it has. Just gonna ride it out now and see how it goes.
Starting off week 7. Gotta love the holidays! Good to catch up with family, but sucks when you can't get time to water. Water deprived 2 more times this week. Also had several bleached buds on various plants and my favorite light was now done with the other tent, so swapped it over now. led. Spaectra has much better even par distribution than my king leds. Got about a month or so to go. Still not bad given the neglect and over use of light they've recieved over last couple weeks. Hoping to get everything dialed back in for the remaining month.
Starting week 8 now. Still having a little trouble with the middle plant. She's fading a little each day. Gave some more osmocote and continuing watering once a day. Been using outside air to cool room temp down to keep around 74. Other plants seem to be doing fine. Less than a month to go, so probably just gonna ride it out without making any drastic changes.
Starting off week 9 now. Pistols starting to change to amber. Buds still fattening up. Did notice some other plants starting to have a bit of a calcium deficiency as well as the center plant that's been acting up a bit. Added 1 tablespoon of gypsum to 4 out of the 5 plants. Continuing to use just rain water for now. Hopefully in a few more weeks it will be harvest time.
Starting week 10 now. Ran into some more underwater issues as well as I think I did not supply enough dry nutes in the beginning to pot since had some slight deficiencies showing before underwatering. Getting close to harvest so just gonna ride it out. Also in process of changing the ventilation system so have had a couple of high temp issues over 80f. Under control for now till I get the setup finished and noted to add more fertilizer to next grow. Even with my errors the girls are sticky and smelling good.
Due to some medical issues I haven't been able to care for these girls as good the last couple weeks. They are very resilient doing fine despite the lack of attention. Still just been adding water. Will up fertilizer dosage on next run as I think I was a little light this run. Osmocote guarantees not to burn even at 3 times the amount so a little extra won't hurt. There are many leaves affected by lack of watering currently, but buds and trichs look good. Super sticky and strong smell.
Put these girls through a rough time at the end. Due to reasons outside my control, they were left dry a few times, but took it like a champ. Out of 5 plants had 18.5 oz dry. Not bad, but half the buds are really airy. Partly I think from stain and part from light. Still curing but tried some of the shake that had dried out. Has a sweet flavor and a relaxing feel. Due to a hermied plant in another room, I did find about 20 seeds total from all 5 plants. So got lucky it wasn't worse. I would run this again, however only 4 plants at 1 time and would try scrog method for more dense buds. 5 plants left 1 plant lacking the ability to get light and only produced 1.5 oz. Others were 3.5‐4.5 oz.
Finally reached the end. 5 plants, 18.5 oz dry. Sweet smoke with relaxing feel. Overall good run. Would run again, however would only do 4 in 5 gal buckets in 4x4 with scrog method for better results.
Yo. Idk if your in the states or not but with black friday being right around the corner you should check out some newer leds. Even a 150w mars hydro light bars there on sale for less than 100rn. You would never regret upgrading from the blup light. Have a good day didn't mean any offense just saw you was doing a good job and thought a newer led wld make ur plants really
@Ninjabuds, thanks for the heads up. I plan on upgrading soon. I have another 4x4 room running a Vipar Spaectra KS5000. Love that light, but its 400 rn so still saving up lol. No offense taken, appreciate the advice.
