Popped on Jan 24th. Using airpots for the first time. Using Greenleaf Nutrients Megacrop for the 3rd time. I love the stuff! Also supplementing with NPK Calmag due to growing in pure coco. Trying coco without perlite this time as I've heard perlite isn't needed in coco because it's so light and airy to begin with and to try and reduce the watering frequency.
This strain is 2nd worst of the 4. This one also got a little light burn from the humidity dome being off for a day. I am quite excited to see this one grow out, it seems like it is supposed to go a nice purple color from what I saw on barneys farm's website.
This strain was received as a tester directly from Barneys Farm.
This weeks been going smoothly. Accidentally watered with unphed water one day which wound up causing a little stress on one of em but despite the stress, it has grown larger than the one that doesn't have any visible stress.
These girls are still leading the pack by a pretty large margin.
The smaller one needs a bit more time before transplant and the bigger one is more or less ready, but I won't be doing so for at least another few days as I need to chop my currently flowering autos and prep the coco they will be going into. The airpots should prevent them from getting rootbound.
This strain is definitely behind the Early Amnesia and Gorilla Zkittles but is still doing pretty well. I will be transplanting the best of the 2 the next day I have a chance to prep some coco. Started watering with Real Growers recharge to introduce some bennies into the coco. Hopefully, we will see a difference in how well the plants grow and flower.
Things have been going well this last week. Decided it was time to do some topping to start my manifold. topped down to the 3rd node and started to LST the branches down to form the manifold. I also left the branches from the 2nd node to see if it helped with recovery and might just keep them for the whole grow. Been able to water every 3 days with the pure coco which is nice and helps save me some nutes. This plant is #3 as far as size and growing vigor. It took a couple days to recover.
This past week has consisted of training everything flat with soft plant ties and topping for the 2nd and final time. With this plant, I am doing something a little different than a manifold. I topped but instead of only leaving 1 set of branches and stripping everything else I have left 2 sets of branches. Other than that the manifold technique will still be used and when I topped the 2nd time I topped to the 3rd node of each branch and stripped off the 3rd node. Doing it this way you wind up with 16 main colas. I'm curious as to how this will affect the plant's growth compared to a regular manifold. This one didn't seem to slow down as much as the early amnesia cbd did and as a result, has now caught up to it in size. She is still #3 for vigor and growth amongst the 4 strains.. Have also stopped adding calmag as I don't think they really need it anymore and Mega Crop provides a decent amount of calmag, to begin with.
