Adjusted light DLI to 18. 14-19 Nov - Let seedling grow. 📑 In Deep Water Culture, it is very hard to sprout a seed directly in the “permanent home”. It is more designed to receive a seedling rather than sprout one. This of course is my experience and the reason why I allow root to appear from the rootriot cube before moving the seedling into its permanent home, I know the plant has began to search for water. I plant it where the root will go through a hole in the bottom of the basket, then fill the basket with expanded clay. The seedling has immediate access to the nutrient reservoir. It is an easy but tedious process, I do not water from the top, other than a daily top off.
