Hello Diary,
A new journey begins, this time starring Granddaddy Purple Auto, one of the newer strains from the RQS family.
Along with Granddaddy Purple Auto,
Pink Mist Auto and one of the legendary strains, Royal Cookies Auto, are also starting their journey on the Farm.
This diary will be dedicated to Granddaddy Purple Auto.
To start, a little description of Granddaddy Purple Auto.
The Granddaddy Purple Auto weed strain has a superb genetic pool.
It's an autoflowering take on Granddaddy Purple, whose parents are none other than Purple Urkle (Afghan x Skunk) and Big Bud Auto (a Mendocino Purps pheno).
This cannabis strain offers an indica-dominant profile, with 75% indica, 20% sativa and 5% ruderalis influences.
Granddaddy Purple Autoflower seeds will deliver around 19% THC, which together with other phytochemicals produces pronounced effects when smoked.
The rich heritage of GDP Autoflower seeds culminates in the moreish terpene profile of the final product.
These flowers offer a complex, multifaceted bouquet of aromas.
Juicy notes of blueberry mix with other fruit for a well-rounded, inviting fragrance that is undercut by herbal undertones and a touch of pine.
Granddaddy Purple Autoflower weed strain makes for a relaxing smoke that can help wind down and catch some z's, while lifting the user up.

22/10/2024
Planting. I prepared everything I needed for planting in advance.
RQS Fabric pots, BioBizz Light Mix, Easy Boost Organic Nutrition, SeaWeed, Easy Roots Mycorrhiza Mix and Cannabis Seed Booster.
And of course, Granddaddy Purple Auto seeds. All products except the soil are from RQS Organic Nutrients.
I put the soil in the fabric pot, added the previously mentioned nutrients to the soil and mixed everything well.
I added Cannabis Seed Booster to the water and soaked the soil well with that water.
I made a small hole in the middle and put the seeds inside.
After that, I put the pot in the grow box together with its roommates, I set the grow lights to 40% power and left them to germinate.
24/10/2024
The surface of the soil had dried out so I sprayed a little water on the surface to maintain moisture in the soil.
25/10/2024
Granddaddy Purple sprouted during the day.
Along with it, the other two plants that share the Farm with it also sprouted.
26/10/2024
Photographing Granddaddy Purple sprout.
As you can see in the photos, Grandaddy Purple is a little disabled.
The leaves are not sprouting properly and therefore have an unusual shape. I will see how it grows in the coming days.
After taking the photos, I watered all three newly sprouted plants on the farm.
I prepared three liters of water, added Seed Booster and watered all three plants on the farm with that amount.
That's all from me for now, see you when the vegetation starts, which is very soon.
Hello Diary,
Granddaddy Purple has finished its first week of vegetation.
As you can see from the photos, Granddaddy looks strange.
It's like he's disabled, one side of the plant is stunted, so for now it's sprouting leaves from three sides.
It's not symmetrical. But I think that will correct itself as soon as the plant reaches a certain height.
When it was the official first day of growth, Granddaddy looked pretty miserable, but by the seventh day it was looking much, much better.
It's growing a little slower compared to its roommates in the grow box, but 4 cm at the end of the first week isn't that bad.
The conditions on the Farm are good, the temperature is around 26 degrees and the humidity is around 50%.
The lights are currently on 40% power and 35 cm above the plants. The lights have been set to 18/6 since the first day of vegetation.
Watering is not as frequent and abundant at this stage.
I've watered the plants twice this week. I prepare 4 liters of water and water all three plants with that amount every 4-5 days.
I started adding CalMg and Bio Grow Fertilizer with every watering.
I put CalMg 1 ml/liter preventively and 1.5 ml/liter Bio Grow Fertilizer, then I lower the p.H. to 6.0
Here's what the past week looked like.
30/10/2024 - Day 1.
Officially the first day of vegetation.
After taking pictures, I watered all three plants and measured how much they had grown.
Granddaddy grew 2.5 cm. and is currently the shortest of all three plants on the Farm.
I set the light timer to 18/6
04/11/2024 - Day 6.
Watering.
I prepared 4 liters of water, added CalMg and Bio Grow Fertilizer and watered all three plants with that amount of water.
05/11/2024 - Day 7.
End of the first week of vegetation. Photographing and measuring the height of the plants.
Granddaddy Purple Auto - Day 7. - 4 cm
That's all from me for this week, see you soon with another update.
Hello Diary,
The second week of vegetation has ended, Granddaddy Purple is doing well.
Although it hasn't grown much, it has gained a lot of new leaves and is developing new branches.
It doesn't look so stunted anymore, it looks healthy and strong.
The leaves are a nice dark green color while the new, newly sprouted leaves are a lighter color.
The conditions on the Farm are good, the temperature is around 26 degrees while the humidity is around 50%.
Watering is not that frequent. Every 4-5 days.
I prepare 5 liters of water for all three plants to which I add CalMg and Bio Grow Fertilizer.
Here's how it looked last week.
09/11/2024 - Day 11.
Watering.
I prepared 5 liters of water, added CalMg and Bio Grow Fertilizer and watered all three plants.
12/11/2024 - Day 14.
Photographing the plants and measuring their height.
Granddaddy Purple Auto - Day 14. - 10 cm.
That's all from me for this week, see you soon.
Hello Diary,
The third week of vegetation has ended, Grandaddy Purple is slowly but surely progressing.
Autoflowers on my little Farm usually show concrete signs of entering the flowering phase after the third week of vegetation.
Granddaddy Purple has not yet reached that phase.
It is still vegetating, the leaves are growing so densely that I can't even see the inside.
It has grown 8 cm this week which is quite small considering the average.
I removed the lowest leaves and branches to allow better air flow and make watering easier.
Watering is every three days and at this stage each plant gets about 2.5 liters of water with each watering.
I continued to add CalMg and regulate the p.H. with Plagron's lemon kick.
Here's what it looked like last week.
14/11/2024 - Day 16.
Watering.
I prepared 8 liters of water, added CalMg, lowered the p.H. at 6.0 and I watered all three plants with that amount.
18/11/2024 - Day 20.
Watering.
I repeated the procedure as four days earlier.
19/11/2024 - Day 21.
End of the third week.
Photographing and measuring the height of the plants.
Granddaddy Purple Auto - Day 21. - 18 cm.
That's all from me for this week, see you soon.
Hello Diary,
Granddaddy Purple is finishing its fourth week of vegetation phase and is slowly but surely entering the flowering phase.
It is not common for autoflowers to vegetate for four weeks,
but since Granddaddy Purple is a plant with special needs, it needed a longer vegetative period.
Although it is shyly showing signs, it has started to form places where flowers will soon be.
Granddaddy Purple has grown 8 cm this week, along with centimeters it has also gained a lot of new leaves so it has a very dense crown.
The leaves are a very nice dark green color, and so far there are no signs that it is missing anything.
Considering that it is now much shorter in height than its roommates, I raised the entire pot so that the plant is closer to the lights.
Watering is every three days, it is obvious that as they grow they require more water.
I prepare about 9 liters for all three plants on the Farm.
I continued to add CalMg and Bio Grow Fertilizer and I regulate the p.H. with Plagron's Lemon Kick.
Here is a short overview of the past week.
21/11/2024 - Day 23.
Watering.
I prepared 8 liters of water, but I set aside 2 liters for Granddaddy Purple.
Added CalMg and Bio Grow Fertiliser, lowered the p.H. to 6.0 and watered all three plants with that amount.
24/11/2024 - Day 26.
Watering. I repeated the procedure as four days earlier.
26/11/2024 - Day 28.
End of the fourth week of vegetation. Photographing and measuring the height of the plants.
Granddaddy Purple Auto - Day 28. - 26 cm.
That's all from me for this week, see you soon.
Hello Diary,
Granddaddy Purple has finally entered the flowering phase, no autoflower strain has ever been in vegetation for so long.
I assume that the reason for this is its slight deformation in the early days, but now Granddaddy Purple looks different.
And here it is, starting to form flowers. Although the flowers are just in their infancy, you can see how they are forming on the branches.
Granddaddy Purple has grown a little more than 10 cm this week, the leaves have densely covered the branches and made it impossible to even see the stem as thick as they are.
The leaves are a very nice dark green color, and so far there are no signs that it is missing anything.
Considering that it is now much shorter in height than its roommates, I raised the entire pot so that the plant is closer to the lights.
Watering is still frequent, every two to three days they get 2.5 liters of water.
I prepare about 9 liters for all three plants on the Farm.
I continued to add CalMg and Bio Grow Fertilizer and I regulated the pH. with Plagron's Lemon Kick.
Here is a short overview of the past week.
29/11/2024 - Day 31.
Watering.
I prepared 8 liters of water, added CalMg and Bio Grow Fertiliser, lowered the pH. to 6.0 and watered all three plants with that amount.
01/12/2024 - Day 33.
Watering. I repeated the procedure as two days earlier.
03/12/2024 - Day 35.
End of the fourth week of vegetation. Photographing and measuring the height of the plants.
Granddaddy Purple Auto - Day 35. - 37 cm.
That's all from me for this week, see you soon.
Hello Diary,
Granddaddy Purple is at the end of the second week of flowering, and now I hope it will focus all its energy on developing flowers.
Granddaddy Purple has grown about 10 cm this week,
not much and is now quite behind its roommates in height, so I raised the entire pot closer to the lights.
The plant looks just like a bush, it has not grown long and the leaves and branches are so dense that you can't even see the inside of the plant.
I removed the leaves and branches at the very bottom of the stem to make watering easier and allow better air flow.
The leaves are a very nice dark green color, and so far there are no signs that it is missing anything.
04/12/2024 - Day 36.
Watering.
I prepared 9 liters of water, added CalMg and Bio Grow Fertiliser, lowered the pH. to 6.0 and watered all three plants with that amount.
07/12/2024 - Day 39.
Watering. I repeated the procedure as two days earlier.
10/12/2024 - Day 42.
End of the second week of flowering. Photographing and measuring the height of the plants.
Granddaddy Purple Auto - Day 42. - 46 cm.
That's all from me for this week, see you soon.
Hello Diary,
Granddaddy Purple has reached the end of its third week of flowering and I am pleased with how it is progressing.
It has not grown even 10 cm this week so that is more or less in line with its height.
Granddaddy Purple has an unusual appearance, since it has not grown too much in height,
it has developed the shape of a small bush with very dense branches.
I remove a few leaves if they get yellow spots, and these are mainly the leaves at the bottom of the plant.
In general, the leaves look healthy and so far it does not seem to be lacking anything.
The flowers are also progressing nicely.
Watering is still frequent, every two to three days they get 3 liters of water.
I prepare about 9 liters for all three plants on the Farm.
I continued to add CalMg and Bio Grow Fertilizer and I regulated the pH. with Plagron's Lemon Kick.
Here is a short overview of the past week.
11/12/2024 - Day 43.
Watering.
I prepared 9 liters of water, added CalMg and Bio Grow Fertiliser, lowered the pH. to 6.0 and watered all three plants with that amount.
14/12/2024 - Day 46.
Watering. I repeated the procedure as two days earlier.
17/12/2024 - Day 49.
End of the third week of flowering. Photographing and measuring the height of the plants.
Granddaddy Purple Auto - Day 49. - 52 cm.
That's pretty much all for this week, see you soon.
Hello Diary,
Granddaddy Purple has been in bloom for four weeks now and the flowers are starting to look a bit more concrete.
As for further growth, this 53 cm is the maximum it has reached.
That is 30 cm less than Pink Mist which grows right next to Granddaddy Purple.
So Granddaddy was lifted up to be closer to the lights.
Granddaddy Purple looks really nice, it hasn't grown too long so it has a nice chubby shape.
The leaves are very dense, it has completely captured the main stem so I can't see it.
But the most important thing is that the leaves have a healthy green color which is a sign that it doesn't need anything.
Watering is still frequent, every three or fou days they get 3 liters of water.
I prepare about 9 liters for all three plants on the Farm.
I continued to add CalMg and Bio Grow Fertilizer and I regulated the pH. with Plagron's Lemon Kick.
Here is a short overview of the past week.
18/12/2024 - Day 50.
Watering.
I prepared 9 liters of water, added CalMg and Bio Grow Fertiliser, lowered the pH. to 6.0 and watered all three plants with that amount.
22/12/2024 - Day 54.
Watering. I repeated the procedure as two days earlier.
24/12/2024 - Day 56.

Granddaddy Purple Auto - Day 56. - 53 cm.
That's all from me for this week, see you soon.
Hello Diary,
Granddaddy Purple has reached the end of the ninth week of vegetation, five weeks of flowering.
Now the flowers look more concrete, they are blooming nicely and are starting to be covered with trichomes.
Granddaddy Purple looks really nice, the thick branches are now covered with flowers which gives it a special look like a bouquet of flowers.
The leaves have turned a little lighter in color which is the first sign that its maturation is approaching.
Watering is usual, every three or four days they get 3 liters of water.
I prepare about 9 liters for all three plants on the Farm.
I stopped adding nutrients when watering, for the last two weeks I have only been giving clean water with regulated pH.
Here is a short overview of the past week.
25/12/2024 - Day 57.
Merry Christmas. Watering.
I prepared 9 liters of water, lowered the pH. to 6.0 and watered all three plants with that amount.
29/12/2024 - Day 61.
Watering. I repeated the procedure as two days earlier.
31/12/2024 - Day 63.
What else to do on New Year's Eve than take pictures of plants.
Granddaddy Purple Auto - Day 63. - 53 cm.
That's all from me, Happy New Year everyone. See you soon.
Hello Diary,
Granddaddy Purple, 10 weeks since the start of the vegetation.
Usually at Butterflies Little Farm, plants are ready to harvest after 10 weeks, but Granddaddy Purple has taken a little longer to mature.
He also had his turn for a photoshoot in front of a black background, so only the plant can stand out.
Granddaddy Purple looks really nice, like a bouquet of flowers :).
The flowers have filled up nicely and emit a wonderful fruity scent.
Some of the leaves are getting a yellowish autumn color, it will soon be ready for harvest.
In my opinion, another week and I will harvest it.
Watering is usual, every three or four days they get 3 liters of water.
I prepare about 9 liters for all three plants on the Farm.
I stopped adding nutrients when watering, for the last two weeks I have only been giving clean water with regulated pH.
Here's what it looked like last week.
01/01/2025 - Day 64.
Happy New Year everyone.
Watering. I prepared 9 liters of water, lowered the pH. to 6.0 and watered all three plants with that amount.
04/01/2025 - Day 67.
Watering. I repeated the procedure as three days earlier.
06/01/2025 - Day 69.
I watered the plants with less water to make them livelier for photography.
07/01/2025 - Day 70.
Photographing the plants and Pink Mist and Royal Cookies that are on the farm with Granddaddy Purple are harvested.
Granddaddy Purple Auto - Day 70. - 53 cm.
That's all from me, Happy New Year everyone. See you soon.
Hello Diary,
The last week of Granddaddy Purple on my little farm.
84 days since I put the seed in the ground
80 days since Royal Cookies sprouted
4 weeks of vegetation
7 weeks of flowering
I haven't had an autoflower in a long time, it took 11 weeks to mature, I hope it was worth the effort.
Considering the small difficulties in its first days, in the end I can be really happy with how everything turned out.
Although it didn't grow very tall, 53 cm, the branches are full of flowers so the yield will not be lacking.
It received CalMg almost throughout the cycle, and in addition I added
Bio Grow for the vegetation phase and Bio Bloom for the flowering phase.
The flowers are not large but they are hard, full of trichomes and have a nice fruity smell.
The leaves have turned yellowish, a real autumn look.
After photographing Granddaddy, I cut off the stem at the very bottom and put it all in a grow box to dry.
Above the grow box are herb dryers where her roommates Pink Mist and Royal Cookies are dried.
Now comes the drying and after that I write the final report.
Considering the slow start, I am really happy with how everything went.
Here is what the last week looked like.
09/01/2025 - Day 72.
Watering. I prepared 3 liters of water, lowered the p.H. to 6.0 and watered the plant.
12/01/2025 - Day 75.
Watering. I repeated the procedure as three days earlier.
13/01/2025 - Day 77.
Final photoshoot. After that I harvested Granddaddy Purple and put it to dry.
Granddaddy Purple Auto - Day 77. - 53 cm.
That's it from me regarding Granddaddy Purple, if I left anything out, feel free to ask. See you soon with the final report.
