👉 Here we are again with a brand new diary! Testing SpliffSeeds for the 1st time with their famous GoldBarKush feminized. Two seeds were dropped in order to select the strongest seedling. After 7 days, we have a champion and a looser, difference is not that big, one of the seedlings is showing signs of a burn onto a leaf and this is strange since my EC is very low. As for the other one, nothing to report but a nice growth and a healthy seedling. The looser will die, I want champions to become monsters and cannot afford to grow a weak/slow plant. Let's see how the survivor will grow in the tiny 45W veg room! I'm waiting for my other run to end before I can bring this GoldBarKush under my Quantum Boards. Casting is over, I killed the slowest seedling and kept the strongest one. The 1st topping surgery happened by the end of week 02. Let's build this manifold!
No update last week but it wasn't much exciting, she's quite slow due to the tiny airpot and my mini veg room setup (~45W). I've been able to top her for the 2nd time, so the manifold will have 4 apical summits. Waiting for the flowering run to end so I can transplant this baby and bring her under the quantum boards.
OK guys I'm back after being away for 2 weeks. I've proceeded to a final transplantation into a 9L AirPot container, right before I left for vacations. I also added a canopy-ring in order to open up the plant and start some LST without adjusting strings everyday. A friend was in charge of the grow room while I was away, and she did a pretty good job. The GBK is healthy, with a vigorous growth, she has 8 main summits and the lower parts were pruned. She will remain under vegetative stage for 1~2 weeks before flipping into 12/12 light schedule. I can't wait to see her full of buds! Thanks for stopping by 👊
This week was half veg half bloom. I may have to find a new home soon so I've decided to flip all my plants into flowering by the middle of week 08. The GBK is looking awesome, standing proud with her canopy ring and creating a lot of nodes. She is already showing pre flowers and she started to stretch.
She's looking amazing 😍 I gave her some more LST sessions and she's reacting very nicely. I did cut the LST strings right after this photoshoot, she needs now to focus on building its preflowers.
She's a beauty! Stretching and building its preflowers at full speed while praying the light. I love those sativa leaves, and they are less problematic than indica ones since the light penetration is much better. She should give a nice yield, I can't wait to smell the buds!
In my quest for the perfect modern grow room, I got my hands on a super cool device: SensorPush. Each SensorPush is a tiny low-energy-bluetooth thermomether+hygrometer. I have 1 sensor in the indoor tent and 1 sensor in the outdoor micro greenhouse. Both are connected to the "SensorPush Wifi Gateway", allowing me to access to the datas at anytime from anywhere in the world. SO COOL! I started to collect datas more than a week ago and it has been already so helpful, I noticed that every single adjustment (side fan speed, thermostat mix/max, window opened/closed, driver dimming..) has a direct and immediate impact on the environment, and being able to see the detailed live statistics is the perfect way to adjust the parameters. I had one important issue this week: my timer was acting weird and the light was turning on 40 mins while the plants were in the middle of their night, but thanks to SensorPush I was able to notice the problem immediately and fix what could have gone dramatical. I love these sensors so much that I've started to dig into the SensorPush API, and guess what: after a few minutes I was able to get the datas showing up on my webcam feed, so now my webcam app is also showing me the temp+RH! Main colas are impressive! But I should have been more radical on pruning, the lowest parts of the plant are not that much interesting. Anyway she's gonna put weight on the scale, for sure! She has a delicious orange/mango smell. Thanks for stopping-by 👊
She drinks a lot and drives all her energy to the buds, they are getting really huge 😎 I noticed some slight foxtailing on the upper colas but this is probably due to my QB being too close so I'll dim the driver down to 75% to end the flowering cycle of this GoldBarKush because I have no more vertical space left. The orange smell is delicious! Can't wait!
So far so good! She didn't get affected by mold whereas two other plants in the room started to show bad signs, I lost two tiny colas but this GBK is safe. Colas are getting almost as big as a soda can. It seems that the foxtailing has stopped so I guess my quantum board was too close, dimming the driver down was the good thing to do. Stay tuned! 😎

Fantastic strain with gigantic colas, mainlining worked great on this one, I should even have been more radical with bottom pruning. One of the colas was slightly affected by mold during late flowering but environmental factors were against me. I highly recommend this strain and cannot wait to try other SpliffSeeds genetics.
Wow, monster genetics in here! Taste is orange/citrus/earthy, most of the buds are huge colas, probably the biggest buds I've ever grown. She was easy to grow, a bit stretchy and some slight foxtailing in the end, but nothing to worry about, buds are dense and tasty, a crowd's favorite. Try it by yourself! Thanks for stopping-by 👊
