I have got 1 plant (critical purple kush) which took about 2 weeks to develop any real leaves after germination. Now the plant grows nicely but the 2nd node got 3 leaves and 2 tops go from there. Would you continue growing this ‚Mutant‘?

I have had some experience with this 'self-topping' or 'whorled' mutation. It was a mixed bag. I would note that the whorled genetic mutation is (from my understanding) not stable and therefore isn't really something you can go out and replace without locating a clone. My whorled girl (a real Irene cut) was finicky, prone to intersex flowers with sterile/no pollen, and a nutrient-consuming monster. Chemical induced reversals also produced nearly no viable pollen and took double the typical time. On the plus side, the potential for selecting clone frames from her was nearly limitless once the mother was grown out. She would also stretch into flower beautifully with literally no training just a lattice needed. On the flower side, nothing irregular as long as any intersex flowers were removed. I recommend to keep her, have fun training her, but don't cling to her once she becomes a burden.

I would never have waited 2 weeks for leaves to grow and pulled it out long before it got this size............however, now that it is this big, you may as well keep growing and loving this seedling. Personally, I am not a fan of any sort of "mutation" or weirdness and am ruthless with culling any seedlings that don't meeet my extremely high expectations. I also grow 30-40 seedlings and then pick the best 10-12 to grow through to maturity. Like I said, I have high standards and am wanting minimal risk with plants, so this is my method. Wasteful perhaps, but I do not ever grow "maybes" any more. I have grown too many "maybes" over the last 40 years to know that most turn out disappointing and end up being a waste of time, effort and space.

Yes, sometimes the small plants or what I like to call dwarf plants produce some of the best buds ever. Yes you have to care for them a little more but occasionally they are slightly mutated and I've gotten some killer smoke. Be nice. Give her love and about half nutrients. You got this bro. If you have any questions message me
