Main-Lining Run

laxx I repotted the 4 strongest into 10L pots LightMix mixed with 4g/L Greenhouse Feeding BioGrow on 09.10.24. As this is a solid fertiliser the plants only take what they need and don´t get overfertilised easily. They also got 250ml/plant BioEnhancer. Lights are around 300 PPFD. I watered when necessary with 200-250 ml/plant. The one not repotted plant will be given away to a fellow grower at a later point. 13.10.: - increased to 470 PPFD 15.10.: - increased the amount of water given to 400ml/plant - also repotted the 5th plant Humidity is adjusted according to VPD.

laxx I let them grow out this week to prepare them for the upcoming training. I always adjust humidity to temperature according to VPD. 20.10.: - increased light to 40 DLI

laxx This week the HST started. This means daily adjustments to the stakes holding the plants. I used bonsai-wire for it, as it is literally made for training like this (even though there are cheaper options). 21.10.: - increased the amount of given water to 600ml/plant - topped the ladies in the 10L pots - swapped Critical 4 and 5 (right side plants) so that Critical 5 can catch up in size with the others as maintaining optimal grow conditions is easier in the back of the tent compared to the opening front 24.10.: - they got watered with 600ml/plant including BioEnhancer 26.10.: - cut Critical 1,3 and 4 to begin shaping them - took some leafs of Critical 2 (the one in the middle) - the plan is to slow down the vegetation of these plants compared to Critical 5 which lacks behind a bit 27.10.: - watered with 600 ml/plant

laxx This week I focused on shaping the plants so they grow an evenly distributed canopy. 28.10.: - I topped the lower branches of the main-lined plants so that their growth can catch up with the upper branches which are still trained to be almost parallel to the ground - also started the full main-lining process with the last 10L pot plant (Critical 5) - also took some leafs of the middle child (Critical 2) so that the nodes can grow more even 29.10.: - went to full saturation with the substrate by watering 2L/plant 01.11..: - topped the upper branches - this concludes my plant training. They will now rest for 10 days and then get flipped into flower 03.11.: - the middle child got lost (a friendly home grower adopted her) - tried to saturate the substrate again with 2,5L/plant - got about 500ml run-off from all plants together which shows me optimal saturation is about 2-2,3L/plant

laxx This week I let them rest and prepared them for the flip. 09.11.: - preparation for flowering phase - they got top-fed with 40g/plant BioBloom from Green House Feeding and 4g/plant silicates from Terra Aquatica mixed with some hands of soil, then watered with 1L/plant BioEnhancer 10.11.: - took all the stakes out so they can stretch stress free - they got flipped into flower

laxx From here on out the ladies chill and stretch for 2 weeks and I let them do their thing until I see light crowns forming. PPFD is between 1000 and 800 enough for flowering. Lights always get adjusted according to the stretch of the plants. 13.11.: - I previously swapped the smaller Critical 5 (now in the back right) and hoped she would catch up which she didn´t. I now adjusted her height with an upside down bonsai pot of mine where she now resides on. All in all it creates a nice and even canopy which I am really satisfied with (quick note that all pictures are angled, it really is quite even :D). 17.11.: - watered with 1,5L/plant I also adjusted my watering schedule to ensure even moisture levels in the soil. They now get 1,5L/plant on Sundays and 1L/plant on Thursdays of regular tap water. They seem to thrive :)

laxx This week the transition period came to an end and I heavily defoliated. I also made some light adjustments. I also grossly underestimated the amount of water they need and had to readjust heavily in how much water they get. 20.11.: - watered 2L/plant - new watering schedule - 2L/plant twice a week or whenever the substrate is too dry - turned Crit 3 (plant front left) to adjust growth and get a more even growth pattern 22.11.: - watered 2L/plant - adjusted the light as the plants stretched 24.11.: - heavily defoliated - flipped the switch on my grow light to add IR/FR spectrum light for faster bud development - watered with 2L/plant and 1L/plant (Crit 5 in the back right)

laxx This week we are cruising into the main flowering phase, but I couldn't let my hands off the plants in fear of mold so I defoliated again. 25.11.: - adjusted Critical 5 (back right) with another bonsai pot to compensate for lower height 28.11.: - watered with 2L/plant and 1,5L/plant (Critical 5) 30.11.: - defoliated the top-layer to enable more light penetration in the canopy 01.12.: - watered with 2L/plant (left row Critical 1 and 3) and 1,5L/plant (right row Critical 5 and 4)

laxx Another week comes to an end. I made some slight adjustments to the growing conditions and defoliated a little bit. The girls are stacking up nicely and I try to smell the developing terps. 09.12.: - adjustments to the maximum temperature to now be 23 degrees Celsius, following the crop steering idea 13.12.: - watered all plants with 1,5L/plant 14.12.: - defoliated, this time I do not have a before and after pic from the same day, but I guess you will get it anyway considering the other pictures provided - checked the terps by touching the sugar leaves for the first time; got 2 slightly floral smells, 1 bubble gum smell and a choco smell 15.12.: - substrate was surprisingly dried again, so I watered with 2L/plant - checked the terps again, but this time with more time to smell and proper cleaning of fingers inbetween to not mix the aromas; I got front-left and back-right as a fruity-sweat almost tangerine like smell without the sour parts; right-front smells very much like your typical artificial bubble gum smell and back-left has a bubble gum smell too mixed with some slight gas (smells like a mix of bubble gum and solvents)

laxx This week nothing really happened. I'm a bit disappointed in the stacking of these ladies. It feels like they are growing quite slow. Might be my lack of skill though... 19.12.: - watered all plants with 1L/plant 22.12.: - watered all plants with 1L/plant

laxx Happy Chrysler everyone! I hope you have a merry Christmas and a bit of relaxation until New Year. This week a friend of mine watched over my plants and documented for me. He missed a day but I know it's quite a lot to handle for a non-grower so I forgive him 😁 Diving into to the plant-week I tried to prepare the ladies for my absence but it looks like I didn't do it right. The back-left plant went yellow on me. After my return I adjusted the light and gave them some water but I actually don't know what caused it. I will continue to observe but for now it doesn't look like anything changed. 23.12.: - watered all plants with 1,5L/plant 28.12.: - watered all plants with 1,5L/plant - adjusted light-height

laxx Happy New Year everyone!! 🎉 This week I tried to do something against the yellowing of the plants and ultimately let it be as I think they are senescening and I will chop soon anyway. Them fading out will hopefully show me some nice colors soon. AND we got the big trichome check! 🍀🍁 I made some selected pictures of the main tops of all plants and want to showcase them. Of course these pictures are also a tool to determine the ripeness of the plants. This is why I will wait atleast one more week, maybe two. Keep in mind these pictures are just top-buds and lower bud sights might still be underdeveloped. 30.12.: - watered every plant with 1L/plant, additionally the left-side got 1ml/L Bio-Bloom in their water to see if anything changed (spoiler it didn't) 03.01.: - watered all plants with 1,5L/plant

laxx I can't rush things but I would really like to. The girls are fading and ripening which seems to take atleast one more week. I would usually give them more time, but I want to participate in the ongoing grow contest which means I will chop next week no matter what. They need time to dry too and I want to start with the new grow in the beginning of February at the latest. Back to the plants what was the week like? Nothing spectecular just regular watering. They already take less and less water which is a good sign for me that they are almost done. The trichomes also seem to be on their way, giving them one more week is necessary though. 08.01.: - watered all plants with 1L/plant 11.01.: - watered all plants with 1L/plant

laxx WE ARE SO BACK PEOPLE!! 🎉🎉 Welcome welcome back to my weekly update, we got some good and some bad news this week. Bad news first: I will postpone harvesting due to the trichomes remaining clear which I am pretty frustrated about. BUT good news: we got some new light! I updated to a FC-1500 EVO from MarsHydro which got some insane efficiency compared to my last light. I can hang it 10 cm higher with a better light spread and a PPFD increase of 200 (now staying at around 900 PPFD throughout the tent) and all this while taking 10w less! Truly a technologie of all time! 😂 However I will harvest on Wednesday in the upcoming week, because it allows me to have my desired 10 days of dry-time while also maintaining my schedule with starting the Cup-grow February 1st. I also included some Bud Porn this time around because I felt like messing with DavinciResolve again, nothing too fancy though :) 14.01.: - watered all plants with 1L/plant - increased max. temperature to 26 Celsius - decreased the light to 20 cm height ➡️ all of this to boost the metabolism of the plants for them to produce cannabinoids faster and making my trichomes milkier 16.01.: - changed the lamp to MarsHydro FC-1500 EVO - height at around 30 cm while maintaining the temperature levels 17.01.: - watered all plants with 1L/plant - this is the last watering they will receive

laxx These are the last 2 days of flowering for the ladies. Nothing really to be done. No water, no nothing. Easy cruising.

laxx 22.01.25 I harvested first thing in the morning, before the lights turned on. I cleaned the tent thoroughly with disinfectant and made sure that everything is almost clinically hygienic. I really don't want to have mold and it is already a preperation for the next run right after dry :) They are now drying and I will update bud shots and dry weight per plant at the end of drying and when I finished trimming. My drying conditions are pretty simple: Day 1 50% RH Day 2 and 3 55% RH Day 4 and beyond 60% RH Always with an error of +-3% as nothing is really perfect ;) I learned that this way I can reduce the risk of mold as the first 3 days are the most critical in terms of evaporated humidity. After that I just dial them in and let them dry for a total dry time of 7 to 10 days. I check my dry with the classic snap test. I took some pictures of all the plants some with background some without because I wasn't satisfied with the outcome of the pictures with background. UPDATE after drying I dried the ladies for 10/11 days and trimmed accordingly. I got 143.9g dry weight, a bit under the 1g/Watt that I was aiming for. I will do better next time I guess :D They are now curing for a month in Grove Bags and will then be put into glass jars for long term storage. I will update once more when I can review the smoking experience. UPDATED the smoke review 21.03.25 after almost 2 months of curing.
