Topped and transplanted to 1 gal pots. 1 of the two seems to be showing some signs of transplant shock. Will keep an eye on it.

Hello mate, nothing to worry about! You have a mutation called fasciation that could cause by many reason, normally a simple stress. You will have a bigger buds there, you will see many spots for new buds forming and many leaves that will grow around the stem. I have an example in my Purple Punch's diaries.
