11th July 2024 - Outdoor
Got the cutting from a friend of mine.
Earlier this year I already had a Candy Rain indoor and gave a cutting to him… few months later here we are with a new Candy Rain run!
Starting outdoor in a lil pot…. waiting to be transferred in a big Pot as i wanna use her as a Motherplant for a few months.
21st July - Outdoor
Gave the Candy Rain a 45l pot so she can grow really big. I used a mixture of BioBizz Lightmix and Worm Humus.
I will only water the plant with tap water the next month as she don’t really needs any extra nutrients.

13th August
Switched from outdoor to indoor as the temps where dropping a bit in late July. Afterwards went on a two week vacation and this is how I got back to the plant.
Plant still got no training and has just been watered with tap water.
Second picture:
16th August
Plant has been topped, trained and the first cuttings have been made.
Third picture:
17th August
One day later ,very fast recovery from the Candy Rain. This Plant loves LST!
1st - 5th September
Made some new cuttings in between week 8 and 11. Plant also got some LST. Still only watering with tap water as nutrients in the soil seem to be enough for the plant 👌🏻
Fast forward to October 31st:
As the 80x80cm tent was getting a little tight for the Candy Rain Mom she needed new home…. a 70x140cm spiderfarmer tent with a fairly underpowered 200w LED!
Also got some nutrients in form of some BioGrow and root juice.
Nutrients from Plagron are ordered and will soon be used. (Little experiment switching from organic to mineral)
A lot of cuttings have been made in between weeks 11 and 19. so basically the plant has been topped many many times.
I just try to stretch the plant now via ScrOG and LST to the size of the tent as this will be a one plant grow.
4th to 9th November - Flower Week 1
Some more LST has been made with some clips to get the plant as wide as possible.
On the 7th November the light was switched to 12/12.
14th to 17th November - Flower week 2
No major training has been made. First signs of the flower are showing, plant made a little stretch and is getting really bushy.
Picture 1 and second video:
20th and 21st November
Plant is looking really healthy so far and can take a decent amount of Water and Nutrients. Also the first Pistols are showing up!
pictures and video (3-5):
25th November
Plant made a good stretch and reached a height of 145cm. Looking like a bonsai tree right now. Gave her 10l with a 2.3EC on the 24th and she is looking very healthy!
I’m looking to thin her up a bit at thursday (day 21) to get some light penetration. I will also do some lollipopping to get this plant to its full potential.
pictures and video (6-9)
28th November
Gave her a really aggressive cut/lollipopping and deployed the scrog net… also did a little lst to get an even canopy.
The plant was quite big before and I was a little scared that she will stretch too much…. But we will see 😜🤟🏻
See ya next week
3rd December
5 days later and the Candy Rain looks really healthy!
Looking forward to increase the EC from 2.40 to 2.5-2.6 in the next few days…
From my experience this strain can’t take that much nutrients and is easily over-fertilized…so I will carefully increase the nutrients and see how the plant will react.
Day 41
Final trim for the Candy Rain!
Also increased the ec from 2.75 to 2.90.
I slightly decrease the temps now from week to week, till I am at about 18 degrees Celsius when it’s time to harvest.
Heading into the final weeks!
Switched the light so that it’s like only 11 1/2 hours of light and a half hour more of darkness. Also slowly reduced the nutrients to a minimum as we are heading for the flush soon. I try to keep the temps relatively low from now on.
The Candy Rain produced some really fat and frosty buds at the top, some of them were so heavy that I had to tie em up 👌🏻
Some beautiful colors coming through as we head into week 10! I removed the scrog net because I needed it for my other grow… had to tie a lot of buds up because they are so dense and heavy!
I’m only watering from now on until I don’t have much nutrients left in the excess water. You can already see how the plant gets rid of its chlorophyll as the leaves are getting darker and darker.
Final days of flower… letting the big pot dry out before heading into a 2-3 day dark period. The green is almost gone and the trichomes are looking really good too!
