* 48" x 24" x 60" Apollo Grow Tent * 450W Viparspectra Reflector Series * Fox Farms Ocean Forest/30% Perlite Soil Mix in 3gal Airpots * 4" Inline Fan 203CFM with 4" x 14" Carbon Filter * Lasko 4000 Air Stik Oscillating Fan Temps & RH were hard to maintain with two cold fronts coming in as my grow tent is in an attic space. I added a old 100 w incandescent drop light to add heat to the space. I couldn't run the 4" exhaust fan because it'll pull in the dry air and drop the humidity. This first week I was only running one 450W Viparspectra Reflector series, and on veg light only. Originally I was only going to run two plants on my first grow, because I accidentally broke the tap root off the seed on the first one that germinated. But I planted it in a small pot anyway just to give it a shot and immediately started soaking a another American Pie and the California Snow, and to my surprise the broken taproot took anyway and is doing fine. So those two are 3 days behind the other two.

Added 2nd 450W Viparspectra Reflector series to tent, and turned both veg & bloom lights on. Added mechanical timer to 4" exhaust fan to run it 1hr on/1 hr off during daylight hours and 0.5hr on/1.5hr off at night to move air but also not dry them out too much. Removed 100W incandescent at the end of 2nd week. No added nutrients to date.

Girl scout cookies does seem a little flimsy compared to the shorter Indica dominate strains. I started 1/4 strength nutrients end of week two (Day 14). Still no signs of burn, so I upped the nutrients to a mix of 1/4 & 1/2 strength on next feed Day 16. We'll see how they do, fingers crossed.

I've stepped up the nutrients from 1/2 to full strength. All plants look good and have responded well after the first increase of nutrients. Looking forward to starting low stress training next week.

I started low stress training (LST) of the main stems for all four plants. Then I had to leave town for work so no other LST until I get back. My helper is just watering and rotating the plants for weeks 5 &6. One of the American Pie plants was the first to show signs of flower, followed by the other American Pie. The Girl Scout Cookies & California Snow haven't make the auto flip yet. Still running 24hrs of light.

California Snow & Girl Scout Cookies both began to flower at the last half of week 6. Continued explosive growth. Helper forgot to adjust light height as plants gained height and let to some light burn on several leaves on the American Pie and Girl Scout Cookies. California Snow's LST wasn't enough to slow down the main stem, its way taller than the other three at 23" tall, and not nearly as bushy. The American Pies are super bushy. I trimmed the damaged leaves, lower fan leaves without light, and any fan leaves blocking out bud sites. I then did some more LST for all plants, trying to spread out the colas as much as possible.

I did some more LST for all plants. I cranked the Californian Snow down hard almost 90 deg to get it's height down. I did the same for the taller American Pie. The short American Pie's main cola's bud has really fattened up. This plant seems to be about two weeks ahead of all the others. The GSC has the most bud sites and has the most even growth. I defoliated all four plants at the end of week 7 to increase bud growth and also began adding 1 tsp/gal of black strap molasses. Its supposed to sweeten and increase bud growth from what I've read. So we shall see.

Are you watering until runoff?
Primetime
Primetimecommented6 years ago
@@Fingers, Sorry for the late response. Yes, I water till runoff. Runoff is about 8-12 oz (250-350 mL). I'm watering every other to every 3rd day.

@DrewbieDoobieNoobie, This is my first grow, and surprisingly its been pretty smooth sailing so far except for the slight light burn in week 6. I'll follow your grow and see what we can learn from each other. I will definitely be growing Girl Scout Cookies, and maybe American Pie again. Hoping for solid yields.

Hey! Thanks for choosing our genetics=) We can’t wait to see what you can do! Good luck🍀 💚

@Fast_Buds, My single Californian Snow always seems to look droopy. I'm not over or under watering, because the other three plants look normal and perky. So is the droop a common phenotype of this strain?

looks like you added a third light this week, is it the same brand and wattage?
