Started a brand new feminised Gorilla Bomb seed from Bomb Seeds. Began my 1 G solution by filling a bowl with 0 PPM RO water, adjusting to pH 5.5 BEFORE adding ~1mL of Calimagic (as not to waste any nutrients since pH is difficult to pinpoint at such a low PPM) until reaching approximately 90 PPM, then eyeballing ~1/16 tsp of NPK RAW Kelp. Soaked fresh Grodan rockwool starter cube in solution for approximately 1.5 hours. Removed cube from solution and inserted seed into a smaller hole about 2 seed lengths deep. Directly applied .5mL of Orca on seed and covered the top of the hole. Placed cube into cabinet into container over heat mat on constant power. Covered container with plastic wrap with an opening at the corner to control the temperature at approximately 80F @ ~70-80% humidity. Seed already cracked open in less than 24hrs 😊 after another 24 hours, the cotyledon have already broken through the top of the rockwool and are beginning to open up! Extremely fast germination! Roots already popping out of the bottom of the rockwool by day 3, I'm impressed by these genetics.

Started the week off with a fresh batch of my starter veg solution. RAW phosphorus is extremely beneficial for the first 2 weeks before introducing a low dose of my Grow and Micro nutes. A little bit of nitrogen goes without saying. Yucca to "make the water wetter". Humic acid allows the uptake of the other nutrients to speed up, and the silica is for a stronger stem and root mass. Bud candy for some microbe food. Still very satisfied with how this little gal is progressing along so far. I continue to give the stem little flicks now and again to strengthen it, and the plastic wrap has been removed, and I put my 2 bottle cap humidifiers in, allowing the plant to adjust to normal veg humidity @ around 70%.

I had some real problems last week. But thankfully I was able to regain control over my climate and we're back in high gear. Definitely added approximately 1 unnecessary week overall to my grow, but what can you do besides learn from your mistakes and make sure it doesn't happen again! Got my new fogger to control the humidity and I'm absolutely loving it!

Good week, basically just waiting for the right time to top where I saw strong growth. That happened at the end of the week, luckily. I've also been getting my supplies ready to start the DWC. I just wanted to try something new and use a rockwool block instead of hydroton and a starter cube. We'll see how it goes.

First week of topping/mainlining. Writing this at the beginning of the week, I'm just waiting for the opportunity to be able to tie down the nodes and fully and setup the mainline structure. Started this week off by throwing my rockwool cube into my DWC setup. The whole point of this cabinet is that it can be as discreet as possible, which is why I invested in the O2 Grow system. I've used it before and it raises dissolved oxygen higher than I've ever seen with a bubbler. It makes zero sound whatsoever and doesn't need to be run more than 3 hours total throughout the day, and it only draws about 60W. With the DWC I also raised the TDS to ~1000 PPM and it's on a full grow regiment now.

Stretch is helping the trellis fill out quite nicely. Did a bit of trimming on day 13 and every day Ithe resultsm this grow are going to be fantastic I can tell already do a manipulating and tucking of the fan leaves to expose flower sites better and better.

I missed all the pictures from last week and basically the week before due to being extremely busy and exhausted. But we should be back in full swing now. This beauty has made a lot of progress in the meantime. The smell is divine, a very sweet/sugary skunk smell. She's drinking a lot of water every day

Smell has really stepped up, and the extra stress from the PK excess has boosted the resin like crazy.

Super happy with this strain as a whole. At the time of writing this I can not currently smoke this due to drug testing for work. But I will be finding a lab rat to test on very soon. I'll come back with the results as soon as possible.

I'll sign up for this. I've just moved over from rockwool to chocolate muffins. Notice that it's not enough to have the roots sticking out you need to create an environment where the micro fine hairs can flourish.

@StonedSolution, oh rock wool works no doubt about it, I started with Rockwool in clay pellets. The thing is that rock wool is touchy, you have to worry about the pH, you have to worry to a certain extent about suffocating the roots. They are stiff and unforgiving when the root is at it's most vulnerable. But they do work, just used one on my previous OG grow in a shallow water culture. But one go on these eazy plugs and I was sold. They completely self regulate, no need to fiddle with the pH just start with water at the right pH, no need to worry about fertiliser. But best of all for me is that the root forms it's natural shape in a paper towel or in the ground if it's been planted at the right depth, but only by using the plugs can the completely natural shape of the root be encased in something that fits it perfectly and does not damage that superfine downy surface which you can see on that shot of mine if you look closely. Of the three bean, Trippy Gorilla, Think Big and Auto Glueberry, each one came out of the seed differently. One came out the pointy side and bent down like we were told in the 80's so always plant the pointy side up. But then on see came out straight, and the third seed the root came out sideways. So I realise there's no pointy side up or pointy side down, it can be either or neither. So with the paper towel and chocolate muffin you always give your see the best start because it declares it's shape first and then when it's a day old and about an inch long you can then break open the muffin and place the root exactly in the most natural position such that the seed is right at the surface. That is why this would be the ideal way for me and what I'll be doing in future. All three seeds sprouted differently yet in the end each one had an identical start and they all developed together. the next best way to do it I think would be directly in soil, or directly into the eazy plug. Personally I don't like soil, it doesn't lend itself to the kind of instant analysis that I need. I found rockwool is excellent for cuttings though. I used to put them straight into rockwool cubes with a drip feed and a flouro light, they'd always root and I'd never use rooting powder.

@Freddd, lol I like the comparison. Pretty accurate. Might try that for my round to see if I get better results. But after realizing my mistake in humidity and temperature I believe that the rockwool can really do work. It was more that when your search for ideal cannabis temperatures, the internet is mostly telling you answers for hid lighting. LEDs need an extra boost of heat to keep that transpiration going through the leaves. Thanks for the input my friend.

@StonedSolution, ha, I call them chocolate muffins because they look delicious. These ones are Eazy Plug from nl, but I think others make similar products. They look like they'd be as good as dirt to germinate in directly, but I like the idea of germinating in a paper towel so I can then open up the muffin and let the root fall into it's natural crevices and have the seed coat right at the surface.
