December 2nd: Made 2 gal of water and used 3/4 of a gal on each plant. pH to 6.3. between 750-800ppm due to really hard tap water, I've got a RO filter coming on Friday so that will help. First runoff measure was 4000+ppm, I'm assuming this is due to it being the first one, I will monitor it from here on to make sure that number goes down drastically. December 3rd: Some early in veg. LST, this consisted of bending the plant slightly and supporting it with the soil, not much, just enough to bend and move back toward the light to add some extra strength to the stem. December 5th: Increased to 350 PPFD.
December 5th: About 14 hours after I updated my grow diary one of my plants started showing signs of overwatering, I haven't watered my plants in 2 days but when I use a soil probe, I'm getting 50-60% wetness around the middle of my pot but 95% at the bottom. I don't necessarily believe these probes plus I'm using fabric pot but my plant is still showing signs of overwatering. Now, I'm not freaking out or anything, I understand that if it is overwatering it will correct itself if I don't water, I'm worried about possible other issues like root rot, how do I know if it is root rot? I posted this dilemma and pictures (same as I am posting on my diary) on the questions part of the website but didn't get an answer. If you have suggestions on what's going on please let me know, otherwise I'm going to let he go and see if overwatering was the issue. Thank you in advance. 12/10/2024 UPDATE: The leaves start drooping shortly before the plants go to sleep, watching a time lapsed video helped me to realize this. Check it out, its pretty cool.
December 6th: Plant is doing much better today, unsure why it started drooping like it was, possibly hit a high moisture spot in my pot. I will be trying out coco my next run.
