Seeing explosive growth this week. Pics are 26 days from the seed spouting. I have been experimenting with toping the three Jack Herer plants. Letting the amnesia auto do what it wants. First hydro grow. Using AN neuts the p.h is running high, up to 6.4
I called there help line and they said to ignore the ph. Would appreciate any feedback or suggestions. Cheers!
Everything going as planned. Experimenting with LST and Scrog. Amnesia auto apears to be about 10 days into flower. Jack Herer's experiencing huge stretch over first 3 days or flower.
Using RO water and ran into a minor cal/mag deficiency. I've been supplementing with cal-mag with no further issues.
Lights 106watt led Cob, w blue/red + UV and IR combined with 400 HPS.

I have run into what I believe is a calcium defiency. I have treated with 10ml of sensi cal-mag and 6ml of micro on-top regular feeding. Hopefully that is enough. Total water capacity is 40L. Using R.O water. Ppm 1350 and dropping slightly. Please share your opinions.
Overall I'm very happy with the growth. The pics are taken at day 41/42.
Last week I defoliated roughly 25 percent of the fanleaves with the exception of the amnesia auto. They were overlapping perspiring and I was concerned about mold and PM. You cannot tell as of today.
This is the first sativa dominant statin I've grown and I'm supprised at how much they're stretching and how little flower development is evident thus far. That being said it's only day 8, I will try to be more paitent.

Everything is growing okay. Did a massive defoliation. The amnesia is sick, cal mag issues combined with nitrogen toxicity.
My next indoor grow will be 4 of the same strain.
Can finally see flowers on the Jack Herer.

When growing different strains in a RDWC system how do you balance plants with different nutrient needs. My amnesia auto ran into a major cal-mag issue and now is experiencing nitrogen toxicity, while my feminized Jack Herer's are largely unaffected. Thanks for the advice.
Thats the thing with a DWC , RDWC , Hydro tables any of that sorta of nature when growing more then one strain , it's really hard to balance the plants needs because various plants require various things . The advice I can offer is to boost the CalMg anyways so that your plant gets what she needs but keep an eye out on your other plants . Do this over time so you don't run into anymore problems such as nutrient lock outs because of the salt that would build up on the roots . Slowly but surely you will over come this problem . Just know for next time that sometimes its a bit harder to grow more then one strain at a time in those kinds of systems . Other then that your grow seems to be well on track and you're well on your way to getting some nice medicine ! I hope the information I've provided you helps you understand what sorts of problems you will run into in a multi strain RDWC grow and how to correct the problem over time . Happy Growing!!
Very happy with growth and bud deplveloppment for the Jack Herer. Buds are going to be nice.
I continue to struggle with the amnesia auto.
I've had to add calmag to it every other day and foliar spray. Buds are still growing well so I guess it's working.
Grow is going well. Continue to struggle with cal mag deficiency. Simply can't give them enough cal mag.
The smell is getting very strong.
I think I am going to transfer the amnesia auto into a seperate container as it's developing much faster. This would mean taking down the make shift scrog net. Would appreciate input.

I learned alot about my first DWC grow this week. I have been fight what I thought was a calcium defeniency on the amnesia auto. This week is showed up in abundance on the Jack Herer plants.
I was scratching my head as I've been adding 2-3 times the recommended dose of cal mag and still running into trouble.
After a false scare with the root rot last week I rinsed off the roots of the amnesia auto and small Jack plant. They had smaller roots balls but the two big jacks massive roots balls had grown around the airstones and I couldn't remove them to rinse.
I had a eurecha moment and I clued in that it was neut lockout from salt build up probably from never flushing the plants and unneceesary high levels of ppms and calmag. As an experienced soil grower have never experienced lockout so it didn't cross my mind.
Overall the buds are developing and I am still confident I will have a great harvest. Looking forward to my next DWC grow and seeing what more I can do with my newly attained knowledge.

Grow is going exceptionally well now.
Calmag Lockout fixed with new white hairs dailyane noticable bud growth.
The amnesia auto is getting close to harvest, going to give it another week. Tricombs are mostly cloudy few clear. I believe it's around day 73 from planting.
The smell of the Jack plants is overwhelming. That strong destinctive piney smell. Ben a minute since I smoked some Jack, looking forward to it.

Harvest amnesia auto. 150 grams wet.
Jack Herer's swelling up daily. Best guess is a few weeks. The smell is incredibly potent. Tough to see in photos but buds are all 12" long and fattening up daily.
Will keep you posted on smoke review on Amnesia.

Buds are fattening up nicely.
Not sure what is going on with the one plant, looks like magnesium. Buds still look good might just have to harvest it a bit early.
Tricombs are mostly cloudy.
Smell is incredibly!
The buds are sense and have incredible pungent piney smell. High is uplifting and energetic. Highly recommended this strain. 3 different phenotypes one being a tiny bud runt.00
Great uplifting strain. Airy buds. Clear opening minded high. Great for a free seed. Would grow again. I experienced alot of calmag issues with this strain.
Looks good man , I'd trim away all the damaged leaves tho they are a good starting point for pesty invaders and no one wants that !!! I wouldnt wanna see all your hard work go to waste because some pests decided to munch down on some leaves :( Keep up the great work tho :D you are almost there :D :D

hy man do you use RO Water or tap water ? so your ph is running up ok but do the ec level rise or drop too?
did you let the clay pebbles soak in ph´ed (ph 5.8) water for some time..if this is not the case maybe this is the problem..clay pebbles have an ph round about 7.0 and it takes some time to change their ph 😎
let´see if we can find the problem..but to be honest your girls dont look bad at all ..they look pretty good so keep on doin what u are doin bro .....and we will see😎

@Wachsemilian, I use RO water about 6.5 out of the R.O system. I soaked the clay pebbles but being my first time, I admit I didnt do a thorough job. I have seen great growth this week. P.H is now stable around 5.9. thanks for checking in!

I’ve recently built my own diy RDWC system and can’t wait to start growing.. it’s basically the same as yours, 4 20 litre buckets with a 40 litre reservoir which I’m going to to place outside my growtent.. I’m going to use 600w hid lighting..
Can you tell me how you change your nutes please? And how often do you change them? And are you using a chiller?

I have been empying the water by scouping it out thru the res and dumping it into a pail. I do my best to tilt bucket 4, than 3, than 2, than 1 to try to get all the water into the res. It's a job during flowering. I recently bought a submersible pump that I'll be using in the future for changes, it will save alot of time. Shop vac gets water everywhere,lol.
I change neuts every 7 days, roots look great so far.
I am running a 400w HPS w. Superlumen and a 108w Led and my water temps are typically around 63-65 without a chiller. I am also running a 6" exhaust/scrubber which keeps air moving and temps down. I am using a well ventilated closet not a tent.
A few things I've observed is stick to one strain, different strains have different needs and are challenging in a recirculating system. If you're using a top feed/recirc system clean your fittings regularly and keep all the water out of the light.
I tried a scrog net but it didn't allow me to see the roots. I ran into a fairly serious cal-mag lockout/defiency and have subsequently had to remove the net so I could flush the the plants. With this setup I wouldn't use a net again.
