Day 19, you can see how The plants that will eventually be LST(1) and Natural (5) seem to take to the coco coir transplant easily and take to their new home with vigor, branching out to fill the width of their 5 gallon pots in all directions.
All 4 primary QuadBerry have exploded over the past 2 weeks. During this time I started to do leaf tucking, which caused fat bushes to form. Natural(5) is starting to show her legs in pre-stretch. They are starting to get thirsty.
All 4 have started to show signs of starting stretch. They are HUNGRY, getting fed 3 times a day, and I'm sure would gladly take more. At this point I can tell things are going to get interesting with no real sign of serious issues and 12 inch fan leaves. This is when I started implenting training techniques other than leaf tucking and started defining each plants growth.
Stretch Day 40 is in (almost)full force, with the topped(4) entering stretch last, almost a week and a half after the natural(5) and lollipopped(3) started showing signs. Some interesting things have happened though, primarily the LST(1) slowing vertical growth significantly. For some reason, this variant didn't seem to stretch much after start of it's training strategy. The Natural(5) has exploded in vertical growth, with very little stress, the plant tried to show off early.
Roughly a week later at Day 46 we have a full 5x5 bush. It's hard to distinguish where one plant starts and the other ends. Topped(4) variant is stretching HARD, this actually becomes a problem later. All plants are healthy as can be with only slight deficiencies from moving into flower, phosphorous is being pulled from lower fan leaves that aren't receiving any light. Rubbing the stems gives off a floral-fruity smell.
Day 57 and you can really start to tell the difference the training is going to do to the nugs. LST(1) is super bushy, the training has caused too much crowding, not allowing the fan leaves to capture as much light as they want to, but showing dense internodal spacing. Lollipopped(3) is THRIVING, with no lowers to worry about and a very even canopy from leaf teaking, each large main cola can is stacking hard. Topped(4) has barely started flower but looking very similiar to the Natural(5). The Natural grow is showing large internodal spacing, less leaf to bud site ratio than both the LST(1) and Lollipopped(3)
Day 63 disaster strikes. I was messing with my watering lines, moving from 2 halo's to 1, and had cut off the Natural(5) from most of it's water source. I walked into the room to a sickly plant following over with crunchy upper leaves. Interestingly, the stress seemed to cause a lemon scent to push through for about a week. Everything else is doing perfect, each plant defining their own lives through their training techniques. Up until this point, the natural(5) was looking fairly good, but this was a turning point. The lollipopped has fattened up, laughing at the lankyness of the Natural grow and how it needs to take care of it's lower branches, which are receiving very little light and producing nothing but larf on the lower 1/3.
Day 69 and most of my attention is on nothing other than the Lollipopped(3) and it's three thick and stacking tall colas that hold themselve's over the rest of the plant. The entire room is filled with a dank fruity smell. Several colas are falling over from their weight and help up.
Day 76 and i'm in serious trouble. Almost every single cola on the Lollipopped(3) needs help up, the LST(1) can hold it's own, the Topped(4) and Natural(5) are in shambles, they are took lanky and hard to reach in the tent at this point and I've declared a clear winner who is getting all of my care - The Lollipopped Variant.
Day 83 is chop day for the clear winner. This plant was just outstanding. I wish I had better equipment to capture the entire plant, but it was impossible once I started to cut the ties holding the colas, it was flop city. Full plant hanging weight was 5.85 lbs.
Lollipopped is my winner! Due to how hard it is to get into my 5x5, lollipopping will be a large part of my growing technique. Easy to grow, took heavy feeding, didn't show any nutrient sensitivities. Dank gas and berries. 10/10 would recommend to grow
Final Dry Weights: (1)LST = 230g (3)Lollipopped = 376g (4)Topped = 409g (5)Natural = 214g Total: 1229 grams = 43.89 ounces = 2.74 lbs
