Greg_McGregerberger Germinate in a paper towel. Cracks were seen after 1 day. Roots were 1 inch at 2 days and were transplanted to soil. Fox Farms Ocean Forest. The bottoms of the cups are drilled for drainage. I am starting 4 seeds but keeping the best of each strain and giving the other 2 away.
The plan is to do a variation of a mainline with four mains instead of two.

12/6 They popped out of the soil in 2 days. I am working on getting the humidity up. It has been around 25% lately.
12/7 First leaves are coming in. I set up a humidifier in the room and got it up to 51%.
12/8 First leaves have doubled in size.
The next node is barely visible on 2 of the plants.
12/9 2nd set of leaves are visible on each plant. 1st node has grown significantly.
12/10 nothing exciting. 2nd node is more visible and the first is larger.
12/11 First node is as wide as the cups. 3rd is just starting to appear.
12/12 2nd nodes are much larger you can see three points clearly on one Laughing Buddha. 3rd is more pronounced.
I found someone to take the two that I decide not to keep, so they will be leaving the tent in a few days. I am hoping to keep them in the solo cups until next week before putting them in their final grow bag.

12/13 the first node is too big for the solo cup on one laughing buddha.
12/14 getting bigger. I trimmed the solo cup to make room for the leaves.
12/15 today was transplant day. The two keepers were transplanted to 10 gallon fabric pots.
12/16. I removed the lower growth from nodes 1 and 2 on the laughing buddha and 1 from the sour strawberry.
I am getting them ready for a mainline using nodes 3 and 4. I will be topping as soon as I have a comfortable place to.
12/17 slowly but surely growing. Nothing major.
12/18. They seem happy with the new pots. I set up the drip watering system today.
12/19 still growing. Both plants have the lower 2 nodes removed already.
Planning on topping in the next day or 2 at the 5th once it has grown out enough. I raised the light a few inches to promote a bit more stretching as I go into

12/25 started to train the 4th node on the laughing buddha. Trained the 3rd on the sour strawberry
12/26 all 4 nodes on both plants are now being trained.
The older training lines were pulled a bit tighter today. They will need to be moved in about 2 days.

12/27 laughing buddha is growing much faster now. Sour Strawberry is a bit slower.
I moved the pulls on node 3 of the buddha out 1 subnode and re pulled them. Node 4 was stretched tighter. The sour strawberry was stretched tighter on the 4th node.
They are both starting to smell just a bit when I open the tent.
The 7 cups are for an experiment.
I am going to graft on a handful of strains if I can get the timing right.
I started with 8, but 1 seed failed. Not bad for some old seeds sitting around.
12/28 just more growth and training
12/29 watered today with about 1 gallon each plant until run off. I topped the 3rd node of the Laughing Buddha and removed already few leaves that were blocking new growth.
12/30 laughing buddha got a haircut. I removed more than i normal would.
I am trying to slow the growth by a little bit to help the sour strawberry catch up.
The sour strawberry was topped at the 4th node. All training lines were also

Greg_McGregerberger 1/3 the laughing buddha was trimmed a few days ago to start forming the manifold shape i want. She was also heavily defoliated a 2nd time to give the sour strawberry another day or 2 to catch up, but it is almost there.
1/4 sour strawberry has caught up. I have the lines of my canopy drawn into shape. Now time to grow it out.
1/6 just growing and training
1/7 watering day.
Mixed up the first batch of full strength nutes. Laughing buddha was showing early signs of deficiency, so definitely ready.
1/8 today was a heavy defoliation day for both to expose some hidden growth. I just noticed that buddha is also starting to show preflowers.
1/9 both responded well to the trimming and have started to fill in quickly.

Greg_McGregerberger 1/10 nothing today. Just letting it do it's own thing today. The funk has arrived though.
1/11 morning training session for both plants. I did a heavy trim on the Laughing buddha. Also watered this morning. No nutrients.
1/12 sour strawberry had a very heavy trimming. It is so much bushier and dense making it much more difficult to work with. I am always amazed at how fast they rebound.
1/13 clipped a few leaves. Buddha is looking hungry, but i am giving the soil just 1 more day to dry up before giving a heavy feeding.
1/14 big training day and a heavy feeding.

Greg_McGregerberger 1/17 i think we are on the last veg week. I am done training out. Now just need to let it put on some gift and in to flowering we go. Also today is watering day.
About 2 gallons
1/19 i removed all the training ties. I am really close to pulling the trigger and swapping to flowering.
1/20 today is officially the last day of veg. Timer has been swapped to 12/12 starting tonight. I did not want to wait too long and have too much of a jungle. Now the real fun starts.

Greg_McGregerberger 1/22 this is the second day since flipping the light cycle. Two 12 hour ni down. Several more to go. I gave them their final full strength veg nutes yesterday. I will start to transition over to full bloom nutes over the course of the next 2-3 weeks.
1/23 watering no nutes. 2 gallons each. Starting to see the stretch
1/24 Just tucking leaves where i can to keep new growth open. I will be putting in the 1st scrog this weekend. I will add a 2nd one if there is enough stretch. Hoping for a huge stretch.
1/26 nutes in the morning.
2 gallons each. 3/4 strength veg 1/4 strength bloom with cal mag and big bloom. It is amazing how fast they are starting to dry out.
Added a scrog in the afternoon. I am setting it a few inches low to start forcing some branches to the side. I will move it up a inch or so when they have grown around it. A 2nd net will be added in about a

2/3 last day of week 2. Watered with 1/4 strength grow big and 3/4 tiger bloom. Regular cal mag and big bloom. Ph balanced to 6.3. I always forget how much ph up I go through during flowering. Luckily I found a backup bottle. It is nice having the 2nd net up so I can see the growth speed a bit better.

Greg_McGregerberger 2/4. First day of week 3. It is filling out the net nicely.
2/6 the stretch will just not quit. The sour strawberry growth is impressive.
I still have plenty of head room.
2/7. Last night just before lights out, I gave it a pretty decent trim of the lower canopy. I removed weak lower branches and leaves that were in the way of air flow. Some upper fan leaves were removed to give better light penetration. I plan on a another mild trim in about a week or so.
The upper scrog was moved down a few inches to better support the cannopy.
Today is a watering day. First one without veg nutrients. Full strength tiger, big, and cal mag. 2 gallons per lady.
2/9. 2 gallons of water each. The stretch is slowing, but not quite done yet.

2/13. Watering day. 2 gallons each. No additives.
The stretch seems to be finished. I am still removing a handful of leaves every other day if they block any growth or rest on any other leaf.
Now is just the waiting game.
I think that both of these are going to be longer to flower than most, but that is no biggie.
2/15. Another round of

Greg_McGregerberger 2/18. Big defoliation day.
I am really happy with how everything filled in.
2/20 nutes yesterday. Just waiting. The laughing buddha seems to keep filling up any airgap that I trim, but is incredibly healthy. I will probably have to trim at least once more time in a few days.
2/23 nutes today.
The smell coming from the sour strawberry is a crazy fruity smell. The laughing buddha is just citrus spice.
Greg_McGregerberger They are showing no signs of slowing down. I lowered the nutrients because I saw the start of burn. All better for now. Both have a light purple twinge showing.
The smell is getting really interesting. Mixed together when you open the tent, it is a honeysuckle type of smell. But separately, totally different. The laughing buddha is a unique smell. Almost a funky spice with lemon. Sour strawberry just has a fruity scent.

Greg_McGregerberger Still fattening up. The sour strawberry is going to have done massive buds in the end.
Laughing buddha is far behind, but that is no biggie. Quality over quantity.
I will be giving away most of this anyway.
I have found 2 seeds on the sourstrawberry, but i have found no signs of pollen sacs. Curious where it came from, but no reason to worry. I will probably grow them eventually if I like the smoke.
Definitely worth playing with these genetics a bit.

Greg_McGregerberger They are starting to get close to harvesting. The fade has started to become very visible in the last two days. Especially on the laughing buddha. I am hoping to harvest in roughly a week and a half if the plants say they are ready.
Took some close up pictures. Debating if I will wait another 8 days. It isvstill showing a small amount of new growth but I am starting to see a smidge of amber. Ideally I would wait until day 67. What do you guys think?

Greg_McGregerberger Last week of flowering. They will be chopped this weekend. I have been impressed by both. They have been very easy strains to grow.
