i bouth these discounted as there was a possibility of autos, which i didn't mind. i'm new to autos, but i think for my 1 plant per tent bubble bucket setup are perfect.
i have 2 tents with the same setup. i plan on trying to germ a seed every 4 weeks or so. stick with autos. have the younger plants in the corner in a 3 gal then up to a 5 when the older plant moves out. the timing will take some fanagaling. in my other tent i have a QSC jack herer auto going too. it looks like it still has 2-3 weeks...? i also just germ'd a quebec blast seeda few days ago.
so, i germinated this seed on Dec 1st. it sprouted within 2 days. i transferred to a grow cube. i waited for a bit of a root before putting in the net pot.
it had visible roots from below the pot on the 14th-ish. yesterday i mixed up a batch of Jacks 321 at 25%. was running 0% distilled pH's to about 5.8.
it's sitting in the corner of the tent below anothe Gelato X GDP that's almost done. the light is at 100% intensity, but it is so far from the seedling that i don't think the ppfd is crazy high. i will keep an eye on it.
the one that is almost done is probably around day 80? the trichs are mostly cloudy, but no ambers. i neeed a better loupe. probably chop soon.
this was grown in the bubbler with Jacks 321 and a little AN big bud and bud ignitor that i had leftover.
i did top it, which i guess is frowned upon due to the possibility of stunting.... and, my plant does look whack lol... so, not going tho top the new one.
i'll try to keep up with this.... the one coming down looks amazing and the nuggs are so tight...
Been about 2 weeks since first root.
Germination on Dec 1, roots hanging from pot around the 14th.
Root growth is massive. Plant is starting to get first few branches. Probably still keep in the 1 gallon bucket when I do rez change. I’ve only had to top up once and everything is pretty stable. Ppm dropping slightly and a slight rise in pH each day. Been about 8 days since last change. I feel I can get a few more days.
I added a humidifier on a timer and a seedling mat to increase humidity and temperature.
Pix from Dec 28
alrighty then
germinated Dec 1st
seedling into net pot Dec 8
first root from bottom Dec 14. so, we're about 6/7 weeks in, with today being Jan23
this one looks like a photo. the last one was an auto and had hairs by now. i'm glad this is a photo!
going to train it a bit and try to maximize tops, then flip. shouldn't be too long. still realtively new to training. i also pinch stems; some call it supercropping?
nutes were about 500ppm Jan 16; did rez change to 648ppm on jan 16.
lights are at 12" and 50% intensity. it is fricken cold in middle of canada presently, so humidity is like 40% in my lung room, even with a humidifier!.
i'm using Jacks 321 with some silica and microbe additions.
plant is really filling in now, so maybe flip next week.
here's a few pix over the last 7 days... did some defoliating here and ther and still trying to spread out the branches to maximize light and have an even canopy.
i'm still pinching a bit too to beef up stalks.... i'll stop this once i start to see hairs. still no hairs sighted yet at about 7 days flo.
i upped nutes to about 700ppm+ and added some AN bud ignitor to my 66% jacks 321 mix.... been floating around 630ppm...
i put about 2.5 gallons (or 10L... i find it easier to keep track of topups etc thinking in liters) into my 5 galoon bucket. this ends up leaving a nice gap between net pot and water surface. i have a yard stick that i use to check water olevel and top accordingly. i also use the yardstick to measure plant height and distance from light.
ppm has been declining daily, and pH trend is a slow rise. i've had to top up/replace 4L of my 10L rez, so i will change over the next couple days.
i also upped my light intensity to 75% and raised it up to abpout 15"... i'll adjust as neccesary..
i'm excited by this one... the last one, which turned out auto, was a beauty... i made the mistake of topping it, and if you look at some of the pix from week 1 veg you'll see how messed up it looked. i leatned, that topping autos isn't neccesary. that being said, i DID top this one recently to help branches catch up to smae level.
the buds were so nice and hard a tasted great... can't wait to see how much i get from this one.
