Germination: Seeds started in rockwool cubes soaked in distilled water. Taproots formed within 12hrs. After 24 Hours the cubes were placed in baskets near water flow and a 10% solution of nutrients started.
Issues: Due to availability of proper water, part of the system was filled with well water. This caused nutrient mixing issues once full dosing was applied. Mineral salt deposits have formed on clay media.
Plants grew well despite fighting the high PH and undesired dissolved solids. Sourcing of suitable water started on this week along with further setup of the system.
Very good growth. Only adding distilled water as needed until markers (PH, EC, PPM) show signs of significant uptake. At this stage the plants requirements have little impact on the water. Most monitoring was for any disease or pest issues on the plant, roots, or water.
Exponential growth since water change. We did what we felt was a lot of trimming. attempted to do some training but the stems were brittle (possible confirmation that the water had issues preventing silicon uptake)
Since the limb was not fully broken i decided to band aid it to see if it could heal itself.
Continued Expansion. We realized that we may have too many plants in this tent to grow with this method around this point. The System is constantly hungry for water and nutrients.
