Started off well, roots showing 36 hours before the top. Started the big LED on 2/1/19. Sharing grow space with a Super Lemon Haze but should get it's own space soon.
Very light feeding to temper the RO. Trying the complete GHE line (except the Calmag I use is different) from the start this time.
Very good week. Previous run showed this strain can handle higher nutes, setup week 2 with about 75-80% of the full GHE schedule. TDS at 720 after feeding, Ph is varying daily a god bit, which I have found normal in this part of the grow, by week 3-4 Ph will be stable only needed adjustment if Armor Si is added or something goes wrong. Trying to keep Ph around 6.2
Good week of growth, in the middle of the week noticed she was getting too tall and tried pinching for a FIM instead of cutting for a topping. Ph has stablized, requiring adjustment only after Armor Si is added. Had to start additional feedings half way through week 2. Thinking about switching to 12/12 already.
Feed to 1300 ppm or so. Ph adjusted to 6.0 will set to 5.8 after switching light schedule.
Pinched off the top of this plant last week, seemed to recover in under 24 hours. Growth is impressive compared to the Super Lemon Haze next door. This one seems to like the Ph being a little lower, been staying toward 5.7 with only adjustment after Armor Si. Tried to bump back up to 5.9-6.1 for 2 days and gave up for now, she seems happy.
Still after one week the PPM of the bucket is over 1200 so we will hold the feeding until the bucket is a little cooler to start with.
Well I first delayed my main feeding for a few days to get down to 800ppm before feeding, made a slight error in the feeding schedule and now sitting at over 2000ppm. But so far it's working. Skipping the base nutes this week, only the extras going into the bucket. These pictures are from day 36, about 3 days after the mix up feeding.
Over 5.5" of growth this week. 14" tall ~24" diagonal, starting to really get in the SLH next door space.
I will be doing a bit of defoliation later in the week. Some of the fan leaves are about as big as my hand now.
The Gold leaf here is doing great. These pictures are from day 42. I haven't feed base nutes in over 2 weeks now due to a feeding error, but so far she is looking happy. I think I have some little flowers peeking today.
It's time to trim the leaves and tie down in a few places.
Going to add the extra nutes to the bucket again this week. The plants seem to like them.
Hey man, unfortunate loss of your plants. But something I noticed and maybe you noticed it by now but Floralicious Plus isn't meant for hydro and will cause bacteria and root rot. I battled root rot for about 3 weeks while I was using it on my hydro plants, once I stopped tho they recovered pretty well.
@GrowingisFunkO, I find Floralicious Plus works well in DWC EXCEPT, you have to add a root inoculant to counter the effects you mentioned. I use Bacillus (Hydroguard) and my root rot issues vanished.
Very impressive root growth. I just started a Gold Leaf seed on Saturday, I wet the seed and then rolled it in "GREAT WHITE", then placed in a moist paper towel. Sunday I had a nice .5 inch long tap root. WOW! that stuff is amazing. My next seeds will be germinated in rock wool starters then transferred to 5 gal buckets when roots break out. Thanks for sharing your grow with us. Looking really promising.
@iGrowZ, thanks for looking. I'm very happy with the growth. This week I made a little calculation error in my spreadsheet and ended up over feeding by allot. She just loving it though. ended up around 2300ppm and two days later down to 2000. Its my first time growing this strain and it's almost double the size of the super lemon haze that I started the same day.
