I've come back with another run of Golden Tiger. Pretty excited for this one, as it's one of my favorites. I intend to pollinate these with some pollen I collected from my Sour Diesel run.
She's kinda small now, but another seed popped up over the week. The other two didn't make it. 3/5 seeds germinating is nice though.
Just plain water for now. I'll start feeding them a little bit next week.
They received their first feed this week. It's light now, then I'll double the feed next week and prep them for a transplant into 1 gallon pots.
I'm not worried about the tiny one; This happened the last time I grew this cultivar, and I was pretty surprised at the end. Hope it happens again this go around.
The nights this week were freezing. The ladies grew better than expected despite that. I've shifted the light schedule to 11/13. I know how tall these ladies can get, and I don't have the space I did last time, lol.
Transplanted all girls to their final pots.
I mixed the last one with soil since I ran out of coco coir. Topped the first 2 and have them a light defoliation. Just waiting for them to show pistils any moment now.
The ladies are doing well this week. I topped them a couple times and defoliated them a bit. Despite that, they popped right back into action stretching into the net. They're still not showing any pistils yet after a couple of weeks of an 11/13 light schedule. Maybe they'll show this coming week...
The ladies are shooting their pistils this week. I took a bit of time to defoliate them a bit and tuck these stretchy branches under the net. Even after topping them a few times, the stretch is still impressive. I'll attempt to pollinate them next week.
Excellent growth and stretch this week. I gave these ladies a nice defoliation and continued to tuck branches under the net. I forgot branchy this cultivar can be and I don't believe the stretch is over yet either. Finally, I chucked some Sour Diesel pollen into the tent.
Late update due to a busy week. Fortunately, I return with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I like the progress I'm seeing so far — these ladies may fill out the whole 3x3 by the end of this..👀
Planning to do more defoliation, maybe some super cropping if it comes to it.
Smooth sailing from here on out. I've been watering, defoliating here & there and tucking in branches where I can. Brushing up against a branch reveals a sharp smell of citrus now. It'll be nice watching the colas bulk up.
