So a brewed a really basic inoculation tea and my plants exploded.
In 2 gallons of water.
Handful of worm castings.
10 ml mammoth p
10 ml colony x
5ml golden tree
10ml roots organic surge
1/4 teaspoon of molasses
Brew 24 hours.
10 ml roots organic surge
Tsp molasses
Brew 24 hours
Add 5 tbsp of my kosher
Dilute to 15 gallons of water. (I would say as low as 5 gallons would be safe)
Water into plants and give 24 hours of light for 3 days.
They doubled in size in 24 hours. Granted they are still small but it was a noticeable change
This week I gave a second super microbe tea
- 5 ml mammoth P
- 5 ml Plus C (Photosynthesis C)
- 5 ml Deep 6
- 5ml Colony x
- small handful of worm castings (Worm Gold +)
- Tsp of Powdered molasses
- 10 ml Roots Organic Surge
- 2 gallons of R.O. water
Brew 24 hours
-Small handful of Insect Frass
- Tsp of liquid Molasses
Brew 24 hours
-tsp of powdered molasses
- small handfull of worm gold + (this is food for the now bigger microbes that have been growing in the tea)
Brew 24 hours
Add to 13 gallons of water
- 5ml of OSA28
- 2 TBSP of Mykos
-20 ml of Roots Organic Surge
- 5 ml of humboldt golden tree
apply liberally. Plants exploded again - bacterial slime (a strong indicator of massive bacterial growth) was so strong it very nearly completely clogged my xl 4" air stone.
Update: 9/28
The girls got their first feeding this week. 6 days after the second super microbe tea i mixed a half dose of VegBloom Dirty. A bit of food the next feeding after a microbe tea seems to be the ticket for sure.
Also included in the feeding:
5ml per gallon roots organic surge
1.5 ml per gallon Mammoth P
5ml per gallon MaxiCrop
3ml per gallon Humboldt ES Honey
1/2 tsp VegBloom Dirty per gallon
Nothing special this week. the girl is looking beautiful though. I gave her about 2.5 ml per gallon of Humboldt Nutrients Ginormous to kick in the trich production and she burned a little from it but really turned on the frost. If you look at the difference between day 33 and day 36 she really is starting to thicken up and put out the trichs
The stardawgs smell is really starting to get loud. Very much like guava and new shower curtain at this point. Doesnt smell like anything ive ever grown.
They got a pretty heavy tea early in the week this week. I included the recipe from the book True Living Organics by the Rev. Look into it.
This being said, this is probably the stinkiest plant in the garden this run. She reeks of straight Guava now, no more of that weird plasticky smell. Now its all fruit and funk and i CANNOT wait to get my first test :) it also looks like it might come down right around the 60 day mark, which looks to make her the earliest girl in the tent too.
So far, home run with this StarDawg. Without a smoke report its a 10/10 will grow again.
So more than a diesel taste its a chem taste. Veryy much like other chems i have smoked but that Guava fruit hit really takes it over the top.
Density: 9/10 - very dense nugs. They have been in the bag for about a week and they are already super dense. I think 9/10 for density is the perfect number because I dont like rocks.
Flavor: 8/10 - the chem gets a little heavy for me, but if you like chem then go for it. And even though i'm not a huge fan of chem, i still really love the flavor.
Bag Appeal - 7.5/10. The only reason this number isnt higher is because its not quite as trichome covered as other varieties I run. However, you can see from the pictures and videos that they still look gorgeous.
Grown organically, even as early in the cure process as this is, its no choke smooth. Giant joint hits leave me with happy lungs and an immediate head rush. The body high kicks in about 15 minutes later with a series of body tingles that just make you smile as the electric blanket effect settles over you. Its relaxing but not sedative. Uplifting, but not paranoia inducing. I'd say that its a great blend that Fast Buds has on its hand.
As for my yield numbers - I ran this in a 5gal equivalent air pot and pulled about 84 grams off of her, once i took out what i call the mid buds, which are usually not as high quality because they are super low on the plant. i ended up with 78 grams of amazingly dense, bag ready, top shelf quality nugs. This will get run in a 7.5 gallon next run to see how she does.
I calculated my gpw number by taking my 8x4 foot tent, and dividing all the numbers by 11 since there were 11 plants in the tent. Thats divided evenly among all 11 plants even though this was in a smaller pot. I'm very happy with the yield and cant wait to see what a larger pot will do for her.
This is my first time growing, but I do intend to drop the temps starting week 3 of flower. last 3 weeks i keep the temps right around 75 with lights on and 65 with lights off. just 4 hours of lights off a night makes em color amazingly.
Thanks man! its something i've had to work on for sure. Lost 60% of my seeds two runs ago because of shitty technique. This one seems to work well though 100% germ rate within two days.
I was noticing that my plants are accelerated in their growth from day 5 and went searching for answers from google and your diary came up. Great information here. Thanks!
Will it grow well under HP's 600 and all canna mediums n chems and is it very difficult how long would u veg for or height before flowering light change and can I achieve more than two ounce per plant min dry weight
