Fresh into the new year, I'm starting with the competition from Zamnesia. This time around, I've decided to try something new: direct germination in coco and watering with the Autopot system. Unlike germination in a glass of water, the seeds sprouted much faster and better because the shell peeled off more effectively during the process. So far, there have been no issues with the coco substrate.

After the initial germination phase and the development of the first leaves, I began feeding the plants with a nutrient solution (fertilizer) after about 7 days. Currently, there are no noticeable issues. The plants are receiving a light intensity of approximately 400 PPFD.

The plant continues to grow well and vigorously. The plants are in the second week of the vegetative phase and have already reached a height of 15 cm, producing full, large leaves. Unfortunately, all my plants are currently experiencing a nitrogen deficiency, which I am trying to address. As a result, the leaves appear slightly yellow. I

The third week was a bit bumpy. All the plants showed signs of nitrogen deficiency. The leaves appeared somewhat weak, drooping, and discoloration set in. I was able to fix this issue by increasing the fertilizer components in the nutrient solution. At the same time, I added Canna Mono Nitrogen at a ratio of 1:1000 (1ml/1l) and used it as a foliar spray under the leaves (stomata). As a result, the leaves recovered very well within about 48 hours. The Runtz genetics from Zamnesia have been performing excellently so far. The leaf and root growth is amazing! I had to transplant the young plants into their final pots since the roots no longer had any space in the nursery pots. Afterward, I observed the plants for 12 hours (overnight) to check if they had coped well with the move, and then proceeded with topping. Even after another 12 hours (overnight), they had handled it well, so I could begin LST training before the main stems got too thick. In the upcoming weeks 4 and 5, a lot of LST training will be on the agenda.

New week, new luck. The nitrogen deficiency has been resolved. The method of increasing the nutrient solution, as well as using Canna Mono Nitrogen in a 1:1000 solution as a spray bottle, worked perfectly. Every evening, I sprayed the fan leaves underneath with this solution so the stomata could absorb it. In my opinion, the plants are growing consistently well and are responding very positively to the coco substrate. I assume that I can connect the ladies to the Autopot system either this week or next week at the latest. This coming week will be spent training the shoots into the correct directions to achieve a better Screen of Green. For now, I’m refraining from heavy defoliation, keeping as many leaves as possible except for old and decaying ones.

We have successfully made it through week 5. The Runtz genetics continue to show strong growth—this plant literally grows before your eyes every day. As soon as some shoots are removed, the plant starts developing even more vigorously. The only one that seems a bit neglected is the third plant in the last row. This week, I’ll try to weave the main shoots into the net more effectively. I suspect that due to the varying plant sizes, it’s not getting enough light. None of the three plants have shown any pistils yet, which I personally think is a good sign, as it allows them to focus on growing in height and width first. There are still slight mineral deficiencies visible in the leaves, but I am counteracting this by increasing fertilizer and using foliar spray.

This week, I started using Plagron Green Sensation. Independently of that, the plant began to show slight deficiency symptoms in its foliage. The leaves became increasingly pale, and the tips started to discolor. As far as I understand, one of the components of Green Sensation is potassium. Since then, the plants have been doing significantly better. Growth has also increased considerably. However, the pre-flowering phase is still progressing slowly.Runtz has been an amazing genetic so far. The leaves look absolutely fantastic—healthy and large.Currently, the plant has reached a height of 75 cm, which is quite a lot by my standards, despite the high PPFD values of 600-700 µmol.

The Runtz is wearing me out. This autoflowering plant is growing insanely well! The stems keep getting thicker, and it just keeps growing every day. I'm already getting nervous because it's slowly getting cramped in the tent. The pistils could be a bit more, but otherwise, I'm very satisfied with the results so far and with using Plagron Green Sensation and the genetics from Zamnesia.

I'm slowly running into the problem that the RUNTZ is just getting too big. The buds could be developing a bit better. I was really unsure whether the seeds were just the feminized variety, but they are definitely automatics. It's really insane how well and massively the genetics grow. It's just crazy!
