BudBeat New round, new luck
I was very dissatisfied with my last grow. Everything went wrong all at once, and the plants had a lockout. Was it because of the auto seeds? Or maybe the nutrients? I don't know... However, I was so unhappy with the result and annoyed by the constant mixing of the nutrient solution that I've decided to work with Living Soil from Florganics in the future. But that's a topic for later. I've made all the preparations and purchased materials for using the Living Soil bed, and I've already prepared them for later use.
I put the seed in a cotton pad 36 hours ago and planted it in the seedling pot yesterday. The little head is already coming up.
I'm super hyped about the strain and want to achieve the best possible result. Cross your fingers for me 👍

BudBeat The Lemon Orange has sprouted. Its stem is relatively long and a bit unstable. It's being supported with toothpicks, and a gentle breeze from the fan ensures that the Lemon Orange gets stronger.
For cultivation, the Light Mix blend from BioBizz is really great. The nutrients are more than enough, and when repotting, it will go into Dope Lite for the first time. But that will take a little while. The soil is definitely ready and has the right temperature.
I'm looking forward to the project!

BudBeat The last week was uneventful. She has now survived the seedling stage and is gradually growing. Yesterday I watered her and mixed in a little Fish Mix. The first true leaves have brown spots. However, I'm not too shocked by that yet. I'm making sure the lady gets water with a pH of 6.5 and hope to get through without any deficiency symptoms. It's still too early to transplant. But that might happen this week. Let's see...

BudBeat Week 3
The initial deficiency has magically disappeared. The rust spots are completely gone and are visible on the old foliage. If the deficiency were still present, now would be the best time to take the plant down. Unfortunately, the LO has drooping leaves. She is getting the same amount of water as her neighbor. Maybe she just can't handle the amount of water? But her thirst behavior within 12 hours is not restricted. Drank 150 ml overnight. I'll keep observing and adjust the watering amount if necessary. Otherwise, I'm more than happy.
Update 1/22: was topped.

The LO is growing nicely. She's a bit handicapped since I was able to clearly identify a CalMag issue. Since my prevention was relatively manageable, I now need to step it up. 0.8 ml per 1.5 liters of water is a nice starting dose for now. I'll stick to this value for the next few days, and if there's no improvement in sight, I'll adjust the dose again. But I'm not too worried about it. The soil is now being watered every day with 500-750 ml of water. The LO has a mega thirst. I haven't seen that before... But it's a sign of healthy growth.
Overall, the Lemon Orange doesn't smell distinct yet. But when you touch its leaves, you get that typical mandarin scent from peeling them. This could turn out great…!
I'm excited!

BudBeat Week 5
The Lemon Orange was giving me a bit of worry. There seemed to be a nutrient interruption. Brown spots and lightening leaves. Since it couldn't be the soil, I looked for the mistake. Lo and behold, my EC value was just way too low! My starting point was only 0.2 and that wasn't enough. The Lemon Orange didn't take that too well. So, I adjusted the conductivity of the water to 0.6 and with each passing day, she's coming back. Therefore, I'm waiting another week until she has fully recovered. The net was put up today so I can start training the Lemon Orange. Her height is significantly more pronounced than that of the Gran Jefa.
Keep your fingers crossed for me
Update 2.2. I ended up switching to 12/12! The Lemon Orange has recovered so well in a short time and is really kicking off now.
The smell profile is already ridiculously amazing… That sour, fruity, and tangy scent when you peel an orange hits you right in the nose.

BudBeat The next week of the Lemon Orange begins…
For the initial deficiency symptoms, the Lemon Orange is looking good. Although its new leaves are a bit lighter compared to the neighbor, that doesn't bother me. I observe the plant daily to potentially address any issues. But the soil is providing the LO with the right nutrients. That makes me almost unemployed… except for checking the water tank and the daily defoliation of individual leaves.
The grow is now much more relaxed, and I'm no longer chasing the plant's needs. The mix had me so fed up in the end that I was really losing interest. Plus, I kept having various deficiencies that I couldn't explain. So it's much easier for me this way, and I don't regret the switch one bit!
I'll keep you updated
Cheers

BudBeat I really hope the stretch is finally over! I'm running out of space up top. Now in the third week of flowering, the stigmas are finally forming. This week, I hope the flower clusters will finally develop! The plants look healthy. The CalMag issue is still there, but the LO is fighting against it👌 The soil has good juice and keeps everything in balance.

BudBeat Finally, the flower clusters have formed. I thought neither of them wanted to. Last week, I defoliated every two days to prevent overgrowth. Unfortunately, the yellow spots on the Lemon Orange are becoming more pronounced. Either it's from the stretch or I still have a CalMag deficiency. The dosage of CalMag has been cranked up to 1ml/Liter. But unfortunately, there's still no improvement. Maybe it just takes a little longer? The leaves, however, look healthy.

BudBeat Wow 😮 Last week, the LO made another leap upwards. I hope the stretch is over now and the energy is being directed into the buds. The smell gets stronger week by week. The yellowing leaves are a bit annoying, but they are bursting with strength. CalMag has now been increased to 0.8. A foliar feeding would be too much risk for me now with the buds. So I'll leave it as it is. However, it could also be that since the LO had a deficiency at the beginning, it’s still present in the lady. A comparison can only be made with another run 😉.

BudBeat The growth has finally stopped. The flowering is growing strong and the trichome development is already insane. They are moving right along the stem of the fan leaves. The sweetness of the Lemon Orange is spreading more and more 😋 wonderful

BudBeat And another week has gone by. It's wonderful to watch them grow every day. The buds are getting bigger and the smell is becoming more intense. It's a true delight for my nose. When I open the tent, a deep fruity note hits me. If I stick my nose into the buds, I think a lemon tree is right in front of me. This is really crazy!! I'm already looking forward to harvest day. But that's still a little while away. Keeping my patience and looking forward to the result.

BudBeat The buds are continuing to fill out. The scent is infernal - bitter, sweet, lemony. The wait is slowly coming to an end, and then it's time for the harvest. Maybe another two weeks, and then I can harvest the delicious gold.

BudBeat Harvest day is getting closer. Their scent is just overwhelming. When you touch them, they smell like a peeled orange. A poem for the nose. I think in a week they'll be ready for harvest.
BudBeat The Lemon Orange smells and tastes like citrus peels. An unprecedented terpene profile. I find it very tasty. 😋 When you smoke it, the bitter taste of an orange lingers on your lips for a long time. I haven't experienced anything like this before. 😉
Congratulations! For my next grow, I'm considering Blueberry Muffin and Lemon Orange. After your description, I'm even more excited about the Lemon Orange now.
@AlienBucket, the Lemon Orange has outperformed all the grows so far. Unfortunately, the LO had a virus. Still, it has a distinctive smell and taste of peeled oranges/lemons. I can really recommend it. But the Blueberry Muffin also sounds exciting.
