LueRootsGrowGermany Here we have compacted the grow weeks from 1 to 12 into one grow tab.
Reasons for this: more reserved time, personal pace, but also slightly missing image material.
But now to the important part :-)
We love challenges and variety (3 strains). To reduce long-term expenses (soil area) and effort (preparing nutrient food), as well as to support the statement that cannabis plants feel most comfortable in homemade soil, we made it our mission.
Therefore, we were able to identify the best quality soil based on all the important characteristics for us. Additionally, we acquired compost soil, bat guano, and dolomite lime, as well as expanded clay granulate.
We mixed everything in a ratio of 4-4-1.
The result: 3 weeks of only watering, including a bit of Cal/Mag.
Except for the SQ1, all have been topped at least 2-3 times. The more sativa-dominant Bubblegum XLs are leading in height. Meanwhile, the Pink Mist tends to be bushier. They are supposed to be more sativa-dominant. They all started in about 2.5-liter pots and were repotted into 20-liter pots when moving to the larger tent. The 20L pots are covered at the bottom with a layer of expanded clay about 6 cm thick to avoid waterlogging, store water, and ensure more oxygen for the main roots in the lower area.
Since we are fascinated by the variety in smoke flavor, this also leads to some compromises.
Our goal in this run:
To understand the plant even better overall. Starting from pH/EC values, soil moisture, to air humidity and temperatures. By continuously measuring before and after watering, we were able to internalize experience regarding nutrient uptake and burning better.
One Bubblegum XL apparently didn’t receive as much fertilizer from the start and seemed to be running low on the nutrient level. But it fit perfectly into the proposed time window after 3 weeks. At the moment, it’s also making a pretty good impression again.
An update will definitely follow.

LueRootsGrowGermany Week 13 Growth
This week was exciting ^^ 😅
BioBizz was used for the first time!
The main focus this week was to optimize the soil for active nutrient uptake again. It wasn't easy, as what you put in the pot was completely consumed in 48 hours or even less.
So, we gradually raised the nutrient level with humus fertilizer, compost soil, and dolomite lime. The plants prefer a varied diet rather than a one-sided one. Since the nutrient consumption was so high, we started watering twice a week with Supermicrobe.
More updates will probably follow ;-)

LueRootsGrowGermany Week 14
Slow acclimatization to the 12/12 light hours by the end of this week.
One hour less each day. We're slowly reaching a sufficient medium again, and by the end of the week, Grow nutrients from BioBizz were definitely needed.
It's incredibly fun to grow so close to the plant's development and understanding :-)
What was important for us now was defoliation. Everything that grew unnecessarily was removed, especially the part at the bottom or near the stem.
Additional notes may follow.

LueRootsGrowGermany We are at the beginning of week 2 of the flowering phase.
Right now, everything is going really well. The water requirement has settled at about 1.8 liters every 24 hours. Depending on the soil measurements, we try not to fertilize. But that's really exciting at the moment because the pH and EC values need to rise. Let's see how the plants work with us hehe 😅
Today we defoliated them a bit more and also hung a bag of predatory mites in each plant that will stay there for about 4 weeks. We also subtly defoliated so, to put it figuratively, we didn't take everything from the "bridges (leaves)." We're nice like that :-)
Since we raised them alongside the last flowering, we still have a few thrips left ^^ You could almost call them pets Muhuhuhhahahaa. Well, they are a bit annoying, but fortunately, they are only somewhat dangerous.
The Bubble Gum XLs are definitely leading the way in stacking. The Pink Mists and the SQ1 are about 45-50 cm tall.
Here's to another great grow week and friendly greetings to all the growmies ;-)

LueRootsGrowGermany We are at the beginning of week 3 of the flowering phase.
Yesterday, they received Top-Max, Bloom, and Alg-A-Mic for the first time. Overall, they look very good and are standing strong. Midweek, the girls were defoliated again.
The Pink Mist seem to be a bit sensitive to nutrients and have slight brown tips on the upper leaf edges. Since we have our homemade soil and it felt like it dropped to zero after 21 days, we've been trying to correct and activate it again. There could be several causes at play. This is our first attempt with the self-enriched soil, and we see it as a learning experience.
Next week will be exciting again, as some will be bent. Let's see if more than two qualify for that.
It's always nice to watch the different strains grow, especially the color of SQ 1, which has had a vibrant green from the start. The SQ 1 and the Pink Mist are at a height of 55 - 60 cm.
Thank you for your visit, and we wish all growmies a nice and successful week.

LueRootsGrowGermany Beginning of the 4th week of flowering
Not much to say, the watering amount has really decreased, which is great for this time of year (high humidity). The fertilization behavior will slowly increase soon, max mS 1.4.
The two slightly faster-growing Bubblegum XL are now about level with the other 4 ladies. So no one should feel neglected regarding the PPF.
Admittedly, it wouldn't have hurt to have 20 cm more height on the SQ1 and the Pink Mist. Still, we already talked about the compromise level ^^ Honestly, after the last round (Monster), it can be a bit more subtle this time :-)
That's why we've consciously topped more often, and the quantity of this round should be quite satisfactory in terms of yield.
We need to correct the tip burn we noticed last week on the Pink Mist.
We don't like to make ourselves bigger.. and we're very cautious about "statements." So probably in this snapshot, there's a somewhat negative assumption that one might have experienced before.
Here, it's really the first time that we finally have a genetic that shows colored leaves up to this point. Long searched and tried... Well, this is exactly ours, and we're very excited about the coming weeks!
Thank you for stopping by, and I wish you all a nice and successful week!

LueRootsGrowGermany So the sweet ones, except for "One," which hasn't been so sweet these last few days..., are now at the beginning of flowering week 5.
Overall, everything is going very well. But as hinted earlier, the Pink Mist is playing a bit of "Carnival" with the air supply and is trying to disguise itself as a male :-)
It's minor and, of course, in places where you wouldn't expect it at first glance.
A few pollen sacs had visibly opened. Nevertheless, we hope that after a quick and careful removal, there will be no further significant collateral damage.
The reasons for this can be of various natures. Even though we waited for sexual maturity, anything is possible from here on out.
You have to make the best of it :-) If we had seen it completely before the pollen sacs opened, we would have removed them earlier.
Nature is just nature, and more importantly, it's only for us. If seeds appear in the Pink Mist, we would have feminized seeds.
So always look on the bright side ;-)
Since the middle of last week, we've been maintaining an EC of at least mS 1.6, now trending more towards 1.8.
Everything seems to be fitting really well, both visibly and in terms of values. Here's to a new great week!
Otherwise, thank you for stopping by, enjoy the picture and video material, and wishing everyone a pleasant week!
Best regards

LueRootsGrowGermany Hey there, we are at the beginning of the 6th week of flowering.
In short, one of the Bubblegum XL plants has shown signs of burning since the end of last week. Since we are all watering with the same nutrient solution, it probably got too much unintentionally. The mentioned plant and the SQ1 have been quite "hot" since the beginning because, as mentioned earlier, the soil was mixed by hand and due to the volume, it was mixed in two batches, so they definitely received more nutrients. This was clearly evident from the measured values. Next idea is a forced mixer, stirring parts :-)
It's also worth mentioning that the Bubblegum XL, for its speed, could have gone into flowering earlier with the HST/SCROG method (not responding as well now). The Bubblegum XL probably won't need much longer...
Just for the sake of experience, we've done quite a few things differently this run compared to before. For example, we intentionally used 600 watts for the first 14 days of flowering instead of 720 watts. Topping up to four times, but we can only give one tip: less is more. Although in LST training, it might look different (no experience yet).
A final result is still pending, so we will definitely revisit this later.
Otherwise, I just want to report that one not-so-"sweet" plant had to be removed for sure. When kindness is always too great, one usually gets taught a lesson afterward, or how was that? From other experiences, I had a pretty sweet plant compared to these hermaphrodites, but here the Pink Mist was really sneaky and was therefore removed. Really a shame, as the tops didn't look that bad... 😴
Wishing all growmies a great week and lots of success!
Thanks for stopping by, best regards!

LueRootsGrowGermany Hello and welcome to flowering week 7
At the moment, we are quite satisfied, the ladies are doing great and the Bubblegum XL are in the ripening stage. The Bubblegum XL that had a bit of a "thirst" was, by the way, here in Germany... ^^ :-) no, with her the trichomes are consistently milky and a few with dark heads have already been seen.
Last week we dried out each pot with a good three 1/4 handfuls of dried coffee grounds as an organic reserve for phosphorus and potassium for the days, from which we then only watered (at most once a week). The humus fertilizer was incorporated identically except for last week.
This time we are skipping additional additives like PK 14-15 or even 13-14 and CO² tablets.
Let's see what else happens :-)
In this sense, I wish all growmies a great upcoming week and if so, thank you very much for stopping by!
Best regards 👋

LueRootsGrowGermany Hello everyone and welcome to flowering week 8
Three days ago, you got to enjoy an EC value of 2.2 for the first time. The Pink Mist is really doing great with that, while the SQ1 has been scratching the limit in terms of nutrient content. Since then, they've only been drinking water with a splash of Cal/Mag. The dried coffee grounds mentioned last week (phosphorus, potassium reserve) allow us to sleep peacefully during the days without fertilizing. For half a week now, we've also been running with 11 hours of light.
Nevertheless, and it was intentional, the demand was really high at that time and since we had been running quite lean before, we decided to stimulate things in that regard.
We won't let our own carelessness happen again, not paying attention to good-looking plants while measuring so that it leads to burning. The word "resting" describes it quite well here, I believe...
This, however, also applies well to perfectionists, hm hm :-)
Otherwise, they are just beautiful to look at ;-)
Really nice colors for a winter grow!
With that said, we hope you enjoy a few pictures and the short video and wish you all a pleasant and successful upcoming week!
Until then, best regards 😉
Now we have finally redeemed the first Bubblegum XL. We watered it for 5 days, and not at all 2 days before harvest.
Since perfection does not exist, we are satisfied with this result for this cultivation method. Maintaining 6 plants with handheld measuring devices, their own soil, and as little fertilizer as possible is truly a great challenge. If we hadn't still had the stocks from the Biobizz line, we would have also gone for Biotabs or similar. But in general, as they say, one learns from mistakes, and from that, one has the opportunity to improve, and that is our goal. Perhaps it also has to do with the seeds from the beginning, as they have clearly cooperated better. Nevertheless, the trichomes are phenomenal, and we are excited about the high.
We still don't have a scale for the wet weight, but that has never been our priority. We ask for your understanding, thank you very much in advance.
Thank you for stopping by, and wishing everyone a terpy Sunday!
Best regards
Update 21.02.2025 -----------------------------------------------------------------
The 2nd Bubblegum XL has also achieved its life goal.
Update 07.03.25
In terms of flavor,
the first Bubblegum XL is quite sweet, mild, but when enjoyed for longer, it does have a slightly spicy effect.
The 2nd, on the other hand, is consistently mild with a slightly sweet note.
The high is truly breathtakingly appealing in both cases. It calms and stimulates the mind at the same time. Truly a fascinating effect
LueRootsGrowGermany So we are at the beginning of the 9th week of flowering
It's just fascinating what they achieve in terms of size. Especially the flowering phase with this growing method really brings a lot of relaxation ^^
It grows so smoothly yet surely. Even though there were times when I doubted, nature and its striving come to perfection.
Also completely underlined, the foliage has been very healthy throughout the entire run and thus a good anchor of strength for the plant.
In general, we wanted to go more natural in this run and leave more foliage to the plant.
The SQ1 has benefited very positively from this in terms of its size, really a shame that our hoped-for stretch fell short. But the mistake will still lie in the soil at that time. But you can only get better in the best case ;-)
Other than that, there isn't much to report except that the plants in this run show purple trichomes :-)
We are very curious and already looking forward to the smoke report for you.
Thank you very much and wishing you all a super successful upcoming week!
Best regards
She is very full-bodied Mild in taste, with a very fruity aroma noticeable at the beginning. The smell is very intense and leans a bit towards skunky. Overall, a truly honest and good product. The color intensity has also wonderfully made me take off my shoes while trying it after a long time ^^ Simply mega delicious The buds are nicely filled and firm.
Structurally, it is truly a feast for the eyes. We also apologize for the delay of the smoke reviews! To be honest, harvesting, drying, and hanging up soon became more challenging than the growing itself Grin. A lot of new experiences gathered, some of which also gave us unpleasant hours ^^ But as always... you learn from mistakes or also let it be. Resolution in the next SQ1 chapter.
Thank you very much to everyone who has accompanied and/or followed us. Wishing you a great week! VG ️

LueRootsGrowGermany This morning before it got light, we harvested our first ripe Pink Mist.
It looked really beautiful, especially its color. We are very grateful for this specimen 🙏
It may not look like it, but we were quite shocked by the wet weight.
In the lower inner area, the lady is really full and super frosty, including purple trichomes. Every harvest-ready plant in this run showed that off. Simply fascinating, we are really mega excited 🤩
Thank you very much for stopping by, and wishing all growmies a pleasant and successful week!
Update
The 2nd Pink Mist was also harvested on 2.03. It spent 48 hours unwatered in the dark together with the SQ1 before cutting.
Best regards ✌️
LueRootsGrowGermany Now the SQ1 has also reached its life goal.
It looks beautiful, and we are really looking forward to the result ☺️
It spent the last 48 hours in the dark and without watering with the last Pink Mist.
Now it will be dried for 14 days at around 55% humidity and 18 degrees Celsius.
Best regards ✌️
Update 18.03.25
Unfortunately, we cannot create a smoke review for the SQ1 here. We will try to complete it again in the future.
Our new investment, namely the leaf cutter Manuel, has made it a bit difficult for us^^ Nevertheless, everything negative always has something positive 😁
At the moment, we have some really nice material in the freezer, which will surely allow us to produce some amazing hash with good execution. For us, once completed, it's another great milestone achieved. We are looking forward to the upcoming experience 😎
Best regards
@Schnabeldino, yeah, we weren't that well-behaved ^^ 🤣 Hehe, no, it was planned from the start. Actually, they were all supposed to look about like this. With the topping, it’s clear that it takes a lot of time... Still, the Bubblegum XLs are really more about height despite the topping. The SQ1 focuses a lot on flowering instead of height. So, it’s a compromise, which isn’t even negative 😉 From experience, it’s going to be fat. But now for the first time, the recently acquired Lazerlite comes into play. We’re sure that if everything goes well, it won’t turn out thin 🤩 Thank you very much for the great words! 😊
And yes, we can really recommend such dehumidifiers. Especially now during this time of year, with only sub-zero temperatures outside and mega high humidity. If you have enough space in the tent like we do, you can be happy about anything that helps a little. Right now, we’re running at about 60 to 62%. Really great for winter time. We also have an electronic dehumidifier from Comfee. It consumes the same power as a (clothes dryer). So thumbs up 👍😉
Best regards
That's creating a nice jungle. I'm curious to see what the buds will look like. Now comes the peak phosphorus demand in weeks 3-6 for flowering. If you say you're not fertilizing, you already have enough in the soil. It's always an exciting phase when the first frost comes. My nerves always go on a rollercoaster ride during the stretch phase. So, all the best and good luck. I'm staying tuned.
@Stony_German, thank you very much, and yes, we hope so too 😉 But at the moment, we are fertilizing.
In the beginning, when we mixed the soil components ourselves, we didn't have to fertilize for 3 weeks. Ideally, even starting from day 19-20 based on our own experience. Luckily, you can read the plants quite well if you have that certain "eye," that's our opinion 😊
Thank you very much, and I wish you continued success and yields as well 🍀🌱💚
Happy New Year to both of you :)
I think it's great with the soil... It looks really good and the little ones seem to be doing just fine. 😊
How much water do you give that you have to water every day? 😅
@Schnabeldino, thank you and happy new year to you too 😊
We started watering daily 3 days ago. They are definitely drinking more than before. Right now we're at just under 2 liters per day. It's also worth mentioning that there's about a 6 cm thick layer of pumice stone at the bottom of the pots. So the pot doesn't hold that much liquid. When I water with pressure, I tend to fill the saucers instead 😉 But for osmosis to work properly, it's important for the soil to dry out as well. I believe the interplay between everything is a good way 🌱💚🍀
I hope you understand what we're getting at 😎✌️
Best regards
Hey you good people! Looks like an awesome grow. I'm currently growing Pink Mist myself and yours looked amazing. 0.05g is listed as wet weight per plant :D, do you happen to remember the right amount? I'd be interested! Cheers and great grow!
@high_as_pluto, hey thanks a lot for your wonderful words. Since we still need a few days for drying the last Pink Mist, we can already give you some data about the second one, which is already dry. We generally don't take wet weight. For us, the dry product is crucial. We're not getting a scale for everyone at the moment. There are much nicer things to invest in ^^ 😀 The finished Pink Mist is rather delicate, about 60 grams at a height of 60 cm. Here, it's important to emphasize that the trichomes and terpenes are, in my opinion, highly pronounced. I (male) can honestly say that when I tried the Pink Mist, I had circulation issues for the first time in a long while 🤣 It really pressed down in my shoes ^^ 😀 Also, the taste and smell are very intense. As soon as we can handle it, the smoke report will come in detail.
The last Pink Mist has, however, significantly larger main buds under the same conditions. Like I said, everything will be updated soon 😉
Best regards ✌️ 😎
Thank you so much for your kind words and your advice. Unfortunately, we stocked up on some seeds last year. They need to be tested first ^^ 😁 I hope we also have the time for that regarding the new Chancellor 😏
But overall, we would be very happy to grow some selected seeds in the near future 😉
@Overcaring_dad, no, that's right. We have 2 tents and actually specified them. One is a seedling/mother tent 60x60x120 cm and the main tent is 150x150x200 cm. But it got really tight towards the end 😉
Very nice grow you two. I'm so happy to see such great gardens. There's nothing more beautiful (except trimming, of course 😆) than achieving something so lovely as a gardener all by yourself. It's a balm for my soul, it takes me down from stress every day just sitting in front of them for 10 minutes and looking at the ladies. And the more beautiful they are, the better. :-)😁 Wishing you a great weekend and #keep on Growing
@Stony_German, thank you so much for such a phenomenal response 🤗
It's always fascinating to see what we have in common 🤩 This hobby and the plants give me so much, and I fulfill myself in such a wonderfully unique way thanks to this level. And yes, we as little perfectionists believe we have passed our own "Grow Basics Course" 😂 It could have been over for all the plants in no time ^^ 😅 There's definitely room for improvement... but that's exactly what motivates me 💚🌱
