Soil: BioBizz All•Mix
Almost all products I use are from BioBizz.
About a month before germinating I have wetted the soil to let the microbes start working. On January 1st I put some of this earth in 3 plastic cups with holes on the bottom. I wetted them with ph regulated water with H2O2 to kill most microbes, fungi and diseases.
I inserted the seeds about 2cm deep and poured ~3ml water directly on top. I have a plastic dome that I wet 2 to 3 times a day to keep the humidity above 60%.
It’s now day 5. I don’t water the soil, because it’s still very moist.
Currently waiting for the roots to reach the bottom of the cups.
My plants have stretched too much, so I put more soil in the cups to keep them standing strong in the breeze.
I put the plastic ‘pots’ inside paper cups with black tape, to keep the roots in the shade. I also cut the bottoms of the paper cups to let the air under the soil to circulate.
They were growing slowly, but I’m slowly trying to imrove their environment.
One of them was turning her leaves down, but seems to be recovering.
So far no nutrients, only water. I try to test the ph before every feeding, because my water seems to be changing its ph by about ~1, when sitting for a few days
Day 13: Transplanted them into 5 gal (19L) fabric pots. The middle seedling has lost a bit of its roots in the process. They just ripped off when a chunk of soil decided to separate when I pulled them out of the cups. Waiting for her to regenerate. I sadly don’t have nothing to help the roots develop faster.
Day 14: The yellow spots don’t seem to go away. I’m a little worried. Thinking about giving them some bio•grow after two days.
First nutrients on day 16, because the leaves began to look flawed. Next time I’ll add some Cal•Mag as well. Increased the light intensity to ~350 ppfd on day 18.
Trying to keep the conditions steady.
The seem to be growing faster, they really like the fertilizer.
All 3 have 4 nodes, but the bottom true leaves seem to be dying. Might have been inappropriate ph earlier.
Day 25: The plants started to smell, although it’s weak
Day 28: The fifth node is developing nicely. I think I’ll top them soon, maybe except the little one. It doesn’t seem to be growing well so far.
I have removed a lot of leaves, because the plants looked too bushy. Might have been a mistake. Also:
I began LST on 2 plants.
I topped the third one
The soil got compacted from watering, so I put some more on top
