end of week 6, last watering was today and i added bud explosion and sweet candy to nutrient mix. i have defoliated them a little, took out big fan leafs, specially more from zkittlez, because she has very nice bud development and needed for better light distribution.. i'm using 'greenleaf nutrients's first time and all is going excellent so far.. sour stomper has crazy trichome production, she is very fast and buds getting nicely bigger, all girls are healthy and strong, no issues πŸ’ͺ

Grow Questions

farmer108started grow question 6 years ago
my grow is always late, i was never able to finish my plants in a period which breeder says..)) last few years i had only 20/4 light shedule for autos.. maybe switching to 18/6 can be helpful step in my case? is it ok for autos to increase dark period in late flowering ?

Hey there! You can deff. do 18/6 if you want no problem. As for the breeders estimated time you have to take into account that was for their grow in their optimal conditions and Their preference on when to harvest you know. So your Optimal conditions may differ from theirs the slightest bit an add a few day or a week. I think alot is preference on when to harvest. but almost all of the plants I have grown weather Auto or Photo go an extra 2-3 weeks. Oh yeah another thing is some breeders estimated time frame is not from the flip/transition it is from the first formation of bud sites so add the usual 2 week or so transition period where it goes from veg until the bud are starting to form to the estimated time and that is about where you can expect it to be done plus or minus a week but it gives you a good estimate. An Estimate is really all the breeders expected time is anyways Happy Growing!!πŸ™

They are looking sweet!! nice and crystaly😡 Keep up that great workπŸ‘πŸ‘Š You can deff try switching the light down if you want it shouldn't hurt. I wouldn't say they are much behind from what they should be I think they look amazing an seem to have some pretty good size nugs on themπŸ‘Œ A lot can be due to environmental condition on how quick they mature besides the genetics. You got nothing to worry about you got nice buds😊 Happy Growing an Plentiful HarvestsπŸ™

@@farmer108, Yeah it does help mature them a little quicker I have done it before as well. But it was more to see if I could get it to bring more color out. Just make sure the water isn't to cold I did it with the water to cold on that one plant It was like 40*F an the next day it looked like some of the top buds were starting to dry on the plant so I harvested but yea just don't let it get super cold you know?

farmer108commented6 years ago
@Thee_HoffGuyy, yes, thnx man, what i also usually do is giving ice cold, ph-balanced water last few waterings.. this is pushing somehow the plant in natural way to finish i think, did it many times and it looks like it works a little for me.. thanks again and happy growing πŸ™

@@farmer108, No problem any time😊 An yeah I get what you saying. yeah it deff worth a shot I don't grow many auto's but when ever i have i have always drooped down to like 18-19 hrs of light as well it was some where around that what i like to do is try to mimic what their natural environment is you kno. I think it helps a lot lol. and yea the low temps during earlier flowing/active mid flower can make it take long but you can also use the temp to your advantage an when it is getting closer to when you want to harvest start to drop the temps a little in the end of flowering just like it would outdoors and they might ripen a lil more quickly. I actually had one ripen really quick over the winter due to being very cold for the a week and it was on week 6 of flower when it happen and it finished at week 8 instead of the normal 9 or so weeks that strain usually take it was a photoperiod though an the reason i know it was early ripen is i had been growing that strain for a few years Hope you find a wayπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ Happy Growing πŸ™

Yes, you can change the lighting schedule with autos if you want to. Also, my autos always go 2-3 weeks longer than the breeder advertises. But it’s also worth the wait in the end. Good luck! πŸ‘

Wow they all look so good. So I'm a first time grower and im currently at 4 1/2 weeks with Sour Stomper. She looks good to me so far but shes very bushy. I noticed in your early weeks she was tall but not at all a ball of Bush like mine. Do u cut some leaves off?? I would guess the ones that don't have a grow site would get cut off?? So light can get to all grow sites?? And what do u suggest I do right now in week 4 as far as training? Pull them down to the sides so the middle is exposed?? That's what I'm getting from looking at ur pics. Just want to make sure so my SS comes out beautiful like yours lol. Sorry for all the questions but I'd really appreciate any advice or suggestions you could give me. Thanks in advance. 😁

@@farmer108, the nutrients are Suite leaf and the led light is a optic 4 in 3x3
farmer108
farmer108commented5 years ago
@Theboy1409, hi )) more bushy should be better my friend ) what i see on your pic, she looks ok, you should make some pics from sides also to see development.. pulling down side branches, makes better light distribution not only for center, also side colas getting bigger and stronger. this strain has very strong genetics, just wait one or two weeks.. which nutrients and lights are you using ?
