Marbanya 2025-01-19 to 2025-01-25 The weather stayed below freezing for the week, which actually made for a really nice environment in the grow tent. The plant is starting to show the Indica ancestry, although the Chernobyl is only two generations removed and it has long, slim leaflets.

Marbanya 2025-01-26 to 2025-02-01 This is another of the Four Peaks line from Trichome Bros. It has a parental lineage with Chernobyl and, as a result, has the same hollow stems I see in the Chernobyl line. I'm curious to know if anyone else has had hollow stem issues with Chernobyl or crosses with this cultivar? It makes LST difficult and you have a small window to do so, before the stems get thick and hollow.

Marbanya 2025-02-02 to 2025-02-08 Continued LST this week in prep for flowering next week. This is an experimental grow of a heavily sativa cultivar. I do not want it getting too tall for my indoor space. It is not very tall now, but the stretch is big in the other Four Peaks line of genetics from Trichome Bros.

Marbanya 2025-02-09 to 2025-02-15 Flip-to-Flower week for this cultivar. I did not take cuttings, which I normally would do before flipping a plant to flower. So far, the genetics from Trichome Bros. have been pretty solid, and the cost of beans is like /10 pack. If I like the end result, I'll support this upstart team of growers. No, this is not a commercial. We'll see how the end product turns out.

Marbanya 2025-02-16 to 2025-02-22 As expected, the stretch on this beast is EXPLOSIVE!!!!. She is healthy and always starving for more water/nutes. As with the other cultivars in the Four Peaks line, I expect the smell to come on early in flower. Yet to be determined.

Marbanya 2025-02-23 to 2025-03-01 The stretch is on and she is reaching for the sky. All of the Four Peaks line seems to stretch a great deal, as did their parent, Chernobyl.

Marbanya 2025-03-23 to 2025-03-29 Of the Four Peaks line (Four Peaks, Annapurna, and South Col), this Chernobyl cross is the most aggressive in growth, stretching faster than either of the other two Four Peaks cultivars. The flowers are smaller than Four Peaks, but seem to be stacked slightly closer at the tops.

Marbanya 2025-03-30 to 2025-04-05 We had around 8 inches of rain this past week, bringing the humidity up to uncontrollable levels, or at least beyond the capabilities of my dehumidifiers. Growing in a basement tends to be damp to start with, but when we have this much rain, the VPD becomes impossible to keep in the "ideal growth zone". To compensate, I have increased the airflow around the soil level and throughout the canopy, as well as increased the ventilation fans on the tent for max air turnover.

Marbanya 2025-04-06 to 2025-04-12 A cold front moved in, bringing a lot of rain, raising the humidity to unhealthy levels. I'm adding the dehumidifier back to the tent in prep for another upcoming cold blast and rain. I need to get the humidity down below 60%.

Marbanya 2025-04-13 to 2025-04-19 I have started the flush and will be harvesting in the next few days. The aroma on this cultivar at time of harvest is a combination of musky earth and citrus. No nutrients are used the last 10 days.
