maui_wowie Both plants struggled a bit after transplanting, which had me worried for a few days—I really thought I’d messed things up. But I stayed patient, kept them moist and warm, and gave them a little extra care. I even blasted them daily with some Frank Sinatra during the holiday season and I think they liked it 😏

maui_wowie I’ll admit, I should have watered the plants before bed one night, but I came home smashed after a Christmas party, and completely forgot. The next day, I made up for it by giving them some leftover BioBizz FishMix (0.5ml per 1L) along with a splash of Root Juice. With a three-day holiday planned over New Year’s Eve with friends, I figured it was the perfect time to start saturating the whole pot to ensure they’d stay hydrated while I was away.

maui_wowie Right before leaving for my New Year’s holiday, I decided to bind her down to start some light training. However, I somehow messed up the light settings in the app, and the plants were only getting 15W for several days. Thankfully, since they’re still small and the lights were hanging low, it didn’t seem to cause any major issues.

maui_wowie For the first time, I started using a ScrOG net to guide the plants more effectively in the right direction. My goal is to keep them small with an even canopy, as I’m planning a compact grow setup in the future with limited height. I’ve been dreaming of cultivating a small autoflower with proper medical effects, and this strain feels like the perfect step toward that goal! The plants have started showing the first signs of transitioning into flowering, and they’re getting quite bushy. I’ve been snipping a few "umbrella" leaves to improve airflow and light penetration, and whenever possible, I tuck the leaves under the net. So far, they’ve handled every bit of training. Of course, just a day after spotting the early flowers, I noticed the first signs of a CalMag deficiency. I ordered a soil pH meter and discovered that the pH was around 7.2—higher than ideal. To address this, I started adjusting my nutrient solution with BioBizz pH Minus, bringing it down to 6.5–6.6. After some adjustments, the soil pH now reads 6.8–7.0. I also began supplementing with Epsom salt (16% magnesium), calculating the correct amount based on data from my water supplier. I added 0.35g of Epsom salt to 3L of nutrients, along with BioBizz CalMag, and the plants seem to be responding well. I’ve also been gradually pushing the light cycle to 23 hours, increasing by 30 minutes each day. To ease the transition, I’ve kept the lights at half power during the extended hours. Recently, it’s been really foggy, making humidity management a challenge. I’ve debated running a 200W dehumidifier, but keeping the lights on seems to be the more cost-effective solution. When the lights go off, humidity inside the tent can spike to over 70%, which is less than ideal. For my next grow, I’m planning to upgrade my fan system to improve humidity control and ensure better overall conditions.

maui_wowie I let them do their thing and only adjust in which direction they grow, I also started cleaning up branches that received no light. Now I hold my hands still and let them gain height. Even tho I love small plants, I hope I can spread the main branches of the left one out enough. The ph adjustment from last week seems to do the charm, I spotted only a couple new small spots and keep an eye on them. Thankfully I now know that a CalMag deficiency is nothing dramatic for the bud quality [...] - Report in progress :)
