Ashbash So im probably gonna have to pull the plug on this one, outside temps are building again and i cant keep my tent any cooler than 35c and that is only gonna get worse. As you can see, both plants are looking fucked and i cant do anything about that, would love a QB but just can afford at the moment. Heat ruins weed more than anything else i have seen. Bring on PH issues, thrips, dryness, overwatering none will fuck up a plant like heat.

Ashbash Ok, plants still alive for now lol. I'm not gonna stop, may as well let it finish but maybe I'll get a new led light to help keep the temps down during flowering. #1 is growing nicely, side branching is building up so not gonna top anymore. #2 is looking like a runt unfortunately, yield is probably gonna be affected. It's kind of cute though haha. Started using some bottles pH reducer instead of lemon juice, but after receiving it I have seen some bad reviews saying it doesn't hold the correct pH for long. if anybody has used nortembio agro pH reducer have you had any luck? I'm going to start a new diary with a couple more plants too, so watch this space!

Ashbash Progress not too bad this week. Plants are very small still so not gonna top them. Think I'm gonna stick with the 10L pots for next time. Slight smell starting to come through so thats a good sign. Looks like the start of flower so hopefully some pistils next week. #2 is definitely a runt but as the pot is so small i don't think it really matters too much, caught up with the other one almost haha. Leaves are starting to show signs of deficiency but it's bee the same with every plant i have grown. I'm gonna grab something other than Biobizz when i get the chance to see if there's any change.

Ashbash Very slow growing this week (even thought it was a long one as I was counting days wrong) but i think its entered flowering. Its definitely stretched a whole lot. Side branching is pretty nice on both plants so hopefully it'll be a decent yield considering the pot size. Gonna stick with 10 litre pots now. Adding in more bloom nutes seems to have helped clear up the spots so i'm grateful for that. Gonna keep feed at this level until the biobizz runs out in a week or two. Heat is still an issue as you can see from the leaves taking on the classic taco shape. I still have a small 4 inch inline fan that im not using, would that be better for temps than passive intake? But still, good progress considering it's pushed 40c a couple of times.

Ashbash #2 is very much in to flower now lots of pistils shooting out. The #1 which was bigger is behind now, must be a slower pheno. Nice smell forming in the tent now love this part :) Temps have been up and down this week but I've added in a intake fan today so hopefully that'll make a little difference.

Ashbash Held off on the nutrients this week as I think it's burning a little. Tips getting crispy. #2 has slowly started to fatten up and I see the beginnings of trichs forming. #1 is going very slowly. Not much growth if any this week. I haven't seen any pistils either, except the enormous ones at the nodes. Hopefully something more next week.

Grow Questions

Ashbashstarted grow question 7y ago
Basically, my question is: Can it be normal for an autoflower to not flower by day 54? #2 has started budding, but #1 is still just growing. Leaves are less rough too so I dont think its even started the change yet?!?!

hello friend, of course, an autoflowering can come to bloom in the 6th even in the 7th week, it just happens that the flowering period will be a couple of weeks shorter, some varieties like fastbuds says they are harvested in week 9 but some are can lengthen to the week 12 or 13, and is because the vegetation has been longer, may be for the number of hours, if you want a plant to flower before you must lower the hours of light to 11 or 12. greetings.

Ashbash Stardawg #2 is not doing well haha. I really have no idea what to do with it. Heat aside (which has cooled a little anyway) I have no idea what is wrong. Water pH and runoff is within a reasonable range, yet it looks deficient and burnt at the same time. Crispy leave tips growing inwards looks like nite burn, yet it's got purple stems and looks like it need P or K. We'll see how it goes haha. #1 is still vegging somehow. I've never seen an auto take this long to flip, it's crazy. Slight fattening of a calyx is visible so hopefully it'll do something this week! I suspect my Biobizz is either gone bad, or its just rubbish stuff as it's all I've used this far. Looking forward to seeing something else in action!

Ashbash #1 is fattening up nicely. Done quite well for a runt I reckon. Smells decent, not all that strong tho rat the moment. #2 still haven't flowered after 64 days so I have flipped to a 12 12 cycle now, I have other photoperiod ones to do too. Accidentally topped it instead of supercropping. Was more brittle that I thought haha.

Ashbash Stardawg 2 is doing it's thing. Still got some budding to do so another 2-3 weeks I think at least. Partly because I have moved to a 12-12 light cycle now for #1 to try and flower, as well as a couple of photoperiods I have in the tent. I have attempted to supercrop the tops of #1 as it's above my reflector now. Too big lol. About 70-80cm.

Ashbash Heavy heavy stretching continuing this week. They have far outgrown my tent now. The #2 has been burned on the top cola from being too close to light, bent it away a little so hopefully it's good now. Still fattening up. #1 is waaaaay to big for the tent now. It has hit the reflector and then some. Despite being decapitated lol. It's a total loss I would say, but I'll keep it in there for now see what happens. Have got some flora soil nutes now from GHE so should do better now than when on the Biobizz.

Ashbash This week #2 has slowed down on the water intake quite a bit, I think its getting close. Took a vid of the trichomes and i can see a couple of amber ones here and there on the calyxs, so hopefully just another week or 2 max. I took the top off it on day 83 as it was getting too hot as it was right nest to the bulb. I will add it into the total harvest weight at the end. Other than that its been very simple, just a little foxtailing as it's a bit warm in there. #1 is now finally budding along! It got way too tall for the tent, and I had to remove the carbon filter in the end and put it on the other end of the ducting to lift the light a few inches. I attempted to supercrop fairly heavily and it definitely helped a lot, even on the branches where it didnt go so smoothly.... AsNoriu was right, it was slowly devouring itself from the bottom up. Got some new nutes and some colour has come back into the leaves. Overall, I have learned not to leave it too late to tie down the plants. Stretch is a real thing haha.

Ashbash This week #2 has fattened up a fair bit. Earlier in the week I tried a technique called backbuilding which I never heard of before which involves snipping of the very top of bud growth late in flower to encourage fat buds rather than stretchy ones. Left a couple as they were to compare. I am giving this one plain water from now till the end. #1 is progressing. The bottom of the plant has totally disappeared haha, hopefully the GHE nutes will save the top. Due to lacking nitrogen during its extended veg period which I wasn't planning for; thought it would start flowering anytime! Looks a lot more frosty than #2 did at this point. Should be a good harvest none the less considering how it has had the top cut off and the deficiencies.

Ashbash I believe #2 is ready to pull now. Gonna do that on Monday. #1 still has a while to go but is flowering faster than the true photoperiod plants. Maybe auto genetics speeds it up even though I had to flip to 12-12. Smells sweet and is very sticky to the touch. Any advice for keeping its smell during drying and curing? Last few have always lost their smell before it's ready :(

Ashbash #2 missing this week....will update in a couple of days with why that is. #1 is fattening up nicely 👍👍👍 Looks like much better bud formation than on the #2. Shes drinking a lot of water having to water every day. Developing quicker than the 2 real photoperiod plants flipped on the same day. Another 4 weeks or or maybe more I'm thinking. The GHE nutes are doing so much better than the Biobizz. Will not be going back lol.

Ashbash Wow, so what a journey with these! Got something to smoke s I'm grateful for that. Heat was an issue but got a QB coming next week! Should keep temps down. #2 had 20g. #1 had about 10g that I saved. This is what heat can do to a plant, think it's good for people to see haha. There is a chance that #1 hermied as I have found seeds in another plant, and haven't found a single pollen sac anywhere. After this I think I'm gonna stick to photoperiods haha.
