I finished building my grow tent a few days ago and I'm still making some adjustments to it (like that mess of cables on the floor, haha). I'm facing some challenges with the temperature inside the tent, as it sometimes reaches 30 degrees Celsius during the day. I still don't have a humidity meter or a humidifier, so I'm trying to lower the temperature a bit by using a spray bottle with water.

25/01 Still having problems with the heat, I've build a exaust with 2 120mm computer fan, this week has arrived the humidity controller and I noticed that is to low for the temperature. Now I waiting for a mist maker to build a DIY humidifier(using a simple water spray for now) I belive this will be the solution to get a better VPD and control this fucking heat inside the tent 😎 30/01 The temperature is reaching more suitable levels, between 25-27°C. Even with the rainy days and higher humidity outside, the grow is stabilizing well at around 65% humidity.

31/01 - I made a small organization in the grow tent and installed a dimmer on the lights to reduce their power, consequently lowering the heat I was experiencing and adjusting their height to achieve a satisfactory PPFD (using the Photone app on an Android phone). A top pruning and a little defoliation was also done on the plant. 03/02 - Some leaves are showing small burnt spots and slight curling. What could be the cause? I'm currently dealing with Fungus Gnats in the grow. I applied a combination of Beauveria bassiana, Metarhizium anisopliae e Isaria fumorosea and covered the soil with burnt rice husk. I’ll wait for the soil to dry and then use hydrogen peroxide to try eliminate some of the eggs. I noticed that the type of fabric I used (raw cotton) to make the pots was effective in allowing water to escape from the soil, but it started to rot at the bottom and disintegrate. This has become an entry point for Fungus Gnats, and I saw some white 'worms' coming out from underneath the pot (a terrible choice of fabric for the pot; I only used it because I had several meters available at home). I will transplant to felt fabric pots, which are synthetic and see what happens.

I had to refrain from watering the plants for at least 5 days to reduce the humidity in the pots and try to prevent the reproduction of fungus gnats. I applied a combination of Beauveria in all the plants soil to try to eliminate the larvae, which was done on February 9th. Some top pruning was also performed on the plant.

26/02- she develops very well after the first topping. I've made another topping 1 week ago, leaving now with 4 main colas, e more 4 colas from the bottom branch. I will see if will be worth it keep the lower 4 branch through the flower

I see you're using B52,I think it now has seaweed in it.I use Advanced and it can't be beaten for the most part. I do use some house and garden as well. Their Amino Treatment is top notch. I used ph perfect for over 10yrs.It really saves time messing with ph. The seaweed will really help with the stress. You'll probably be better off with Amino treatment rather than b52 as its got L form amino acids which helps even more with heat and cold.

@oldskoolkool, Thanks for the tip! We're having a really hot summer here in Brazil, the temperature inside my grow space is about 31°C when it's 29°C outside. This means the inside is just 2°C warmer than the outside, which isn't too significant, at night, when it cools down to 23°C outside, the temperature inside drops to about 25°C, which is a slight increase of only 2°C as well. So, my grow space isn't getting extremely hot compared to the outside temperatures, but I still want to make sure my plants are comfortable during the frequent hot days.

Humidifier wont make much difference to temps.

@oldskoolkool, You're right, a humidifier won't make much difference to the temperatures themselves. However, it will help me improve my VPD in relation to the high temperatures. I believe by adding humidity, I can create a more favorable environment for my plants, right?
