True leaves showing stronger deformation. Let's hope it's only a mild problem and doesn't persist. Also, the triploids are showing some red hue. Not sure what causes this, some excess nutrient or pH issue? I'll monitor and hope it doesn't get worse.
The plant has settled in now, and it's beginning to grow faster now. The stem isn't as thick as that from the Banana Kush Auto I grow parallel, but thanks to the added silica, super solid and rigid. LST doesn't seem like a great option, will probably try FIMing, or maybe Topping. I'll add photos later, that'll show the result of this decision process.
UPDATE: I decided to FIM the Fat Monkey, to increase side branch production.
ANOTHER UPDATE: I might've taken off a little too much when FIMing, which turns it into topping, I guess.
The FIMing seems to be more like Topping, I seem to have taken off a little too much. Oh well...
She seems to recover from the HST alright, though, taking her time, but a little faster than Banana Kush Auto that I grow in parallel.
Some fresh leaves show clawing, maybe from too much watering after the FIMing? Or wind? I've adjusted both and will wait and see, how she reacts. For now, I'm waiting with removing any leaves until recovery is clearly over.
UPDATE: She seems to recover fantastically from the stress of FIMing, or Topping - whichever one I ended up doing, still a bit unclear to me.
She's growing very tall, with lots of internodal space - Trying to direct her more to the outside with some 3D printed LST hooks.
Not much to say about her really, she's just doing her thing, not demanding a lot of attention.
She's starting to flower and to stretch. She's looking pretty good to me, really healthy with good internodal spacing.
The FIMin wasn't successful, like I suspected, I took off too much and basically topped her, a little higher than I would've liked to, But at least she's responding well to the 3D printed LST clips.
She's growing and stretching very fast now. And she doesn't seem to need a lot of help from me.
I gave her some homemade aerobic compost tea last week, which she seems to like quite a bit.
The leafs are somewhat jagged, which probably is caused by the relatively low humidity. I'm trying to up that value somehow, any tips, beyond buying a humidifier, are very welcome!
The stretch has slowed down, she looks fantastic overall. Lots of bud sites, dark green leaves, long internodes - only thing, I'm not sure if I should worry about, is the jagged leafs.
The stretch came to an end, she's a great size, with super healthy leaves and lots and lots of buds.
Applied some Schachtelhalmextrakt as a foliar spray for some silica, to give the leaves some nutrients, strength and more resistance against pests. Applied the spray during last week, before she focussed her energy into flower and trichome production.
Holy smokes, Fat Monkey Auto has gone through quite some transformation. The leafs have changed structure, turned much darker green with these really cool light green veins, which look pretty trippy, the sugar leaves have grown in size and width. Trichome production is gaining steam and the light smell is already very promising. She has bud sites everywhere - She's gorgeous! 😍
Only thing I'm not sure about:
Her buds look relatively thin. I'm hoping that they'll gain some weight soon.
Also, not sure if that's normal or not, they seem thin compared to Banana Kush Auto right next to her.
@Irati_Anesia, I'm curious to see how the Fat Monkey likes the soil as well.
I've been "tuning" my soil over a few grows - last iteration is enjoying the flowering phase right now and seemingly liking it quite a bit (one of your genetics as well, btw, Yuhbary Auto).
