Not even that easy to get in Germany. Seeds are only allowed from other EU countries, which makes it difficult to obtain high-quality seeds and rarer varieties.
I'm hoping for a pheno with a lemon and berry flavor. Alternatively, lemon with undertones of pine.
I can measure the DLI with the Photone app on my smartphone. I stick to the following scheme
Two seeds were in the Jiffy's and peeked out of the ground for the first time on 15.01.2025. No problems and nothing exciting so far. Germination rate is now 100%
The two seedlings were repotted on 20.01.2025, day 5. The soil is still leftover COMPO Grow Organic Light-Mix and this is where the plants will initially grow until the pot is fully rooted. They will not be fertilized for the time being, maybe in the future or if CalMag problems occur.
Update day 10: Not much is happening yet, but both plants have survived the repotting well and show no problems. Now it's time to water and wait.
Update day 14: Only a few more hours until week 3 begins. The plants love the new pot with the lightly fertilized soil and are growing really well. So far I've only had seeds from Zamnesia, FastBuds and BarneysFarm. The two plants look almost identical and grow the same. I've never had that before. Really well stabilized genetics apparently!
Update day 16: Nothing has changed. They both look like the exact same plant, but #2 appears to be ~12h further along
Update day 19: They are now growing really fast and also have the typical plant smell - nothing more. The leaves and growth are really atypical for a Haze. Internodal distance is average, I would say. However, like the leaves, the spacing is medium for a Haze. I might even add BioBizz soon. I still have to use up the fertilizer. I'm aiming for week 4 for repotting and topping. Let's see!
Update day 19: Big change. As you can see, the plants are in a 20L fabric pot with the Floragard Professional Growmix - it makes a positive impression, better than BioBizz or Compo.
I decided to do this because the SLH RBX3 #2 didn't look good that morning. So far I have not identified the problem. To solve the problem I repotted them as they were both big anyway. Two people from the Ethos Growery Discord helped me. I watered both plants with 3.5L each together with the BioBizz FishMix, Alg A Mic and CANNA Mono Magnesium according to the BioBizz schedule. A tip from Discord was to aerify the roots with a wooden skewer. This allows the roots to soak up water if they need it, but the water can also evaporate if it was too much.
Update day 22: Week 3 has begun. As you can see, SLH RBX3 #2 is already doing much better. The picture from the night doesn't look like it, but trust me! However, the light green spots have now turned rusty brown.
There are also a few other adjustments. I have extended the light from 16h to 18h. There's no reason for this, I just tried it out. The DLI for week 4 has also been adjusted.
As already described on day 21, I am now using fertilizer. The magnesium fertilizer has 7% magnesium oxide, which is 42mg per ml. Together with my values from the local waterworks and ChatGPT, I have calculated the amount of magnesium for a 3.5:1 ratio. I use BioBizz according to the scheme and Alg A Mic in the Vegi with the same dosage as FishMix.
Update day 23: I told you, she looks much better
Update day 25: The plants are simply exploding, especially #2 after the few problems. They also both look hungry, I may have to add more fertilizer, although the soil is quite moist. Crazy growth for a Super Lemon Haze. Crossing with Lilac Diesel works wonders!
Update day 27: The growth is still great. Relatively thin stems and branches, but huge and wide leaves for Haze. The soil is still moist, although I only watered when repotting, so I'm still waiting. The #1 is showing signs of calcium deficiency, so I'll keep an eye on that. I have also started the first steps of mainlining. I'm starting with two nodes, but will do four. I won't top until later because I want to make a cutting straight away.
Update day 30: Big changes. I have just topped the plant and am continuing the mainlining. It looks very brutal now. Cuttings are made and placed in jiffies - my first time cuttings. Let's see how it looks. I have watered the plants with one liter of water each, including fertilizer as described.
Update day 33: Unfortunately I didn't take any photos before, but I have just removed leaves again and realigned the wire. The plants are growing really well and it's mainlining as you would imagine. The #2 has shown some nutburn after the last watering, the soil is apparently very rich. I will only add magnesium for now.
Update day 38: There is a longer break in between. I just let the plant grow and I always top relatively late. That's why it takes longer. In the pics it looks like not much has changed. But that's not the case. I have now topped each of the 4 side branches and the plant is nice and airy again. Believe me when I say that it was a really green and even canopy before! There are no other problems and DLI is adjusted again to week 6. I'm still keeping an eye on the clones, but I'm not hopeful.
Update day 39: I had an unsightly sight today when I opened the tent. Both plants show burns. As I haven't watered or fertilized them for a long time, I assume it's light burn. The defoliation was probably a little too much stress. I gave #1 2 liters of water and #2 only 1 liter. The lamps are now a little further away and DLI is 40-48, but that shouldn't be a problem for the plant over time.
Update day 41: Both plants have recovered. There seem to be problems with the heavily fertilized soil combined with the frequent removal of the older leaves. The nutrients are too much for the young leaves. Apart from that, both have recovered nicely and I have given #2 in particular a heavy training. In addition, #2 is now a little bit more behind and the growth is also more compact. Maybe I will top #1 once more.
Update day 44: The #1 is doing great and the growth doesn't stop. I have even topped some of the branches again, but not all of them yet because they still need 1-2 days. On the other hand, #2 has slowed down its growth considerably and has only small leaves so far. The stress was probably too much, I hope she will recover. I won't be topping #1 again after this and #2 either. I'll just wait until #2 has recovered, leave it in veg for a short time and then switch to flowering. With the following plan, #1 would then have 20 branches and #2, 12.
Update day 47: Things are looking good. The #2 has recovered well and the #1 continues to grow. It is no longer visible in the pics, but both now have real sativa leaves. I have now topped all the branches on #1 and removed the fan leaves. I have removed leaves from the lower nodes of #2. I'll let them grow a little longer and then try to make clones one last time with side branches. Then I'll send them both into flower.
Update day 50: Both plants have responded wonderfully to the training, if you look at the picture from day 44. Only 6 days in between! The soil is really powerful because I haven't added any more fertilizer yet. It's just getting tight because I have vegetables now. On Sunday or at the beginning of next week I will try again with clones of both plants. Wish me luck!
Update day 53: Big change. I have removed a lot of leaf mass and also nodes that I only had for clones. Now I'm waiting to see if the clones take root and then send the plants into flowering.
Update day 54: Nothing to say
Update day 59: I removed a few more branches that were very high up. Interestingly, #2, which was weaker at first, has overtaken #1 in terms of growth. Otherwise, both were very similar, almost certainly the same phenotype. Now I'm adding fertilizer according to the BioBizz Light-Mix chart and the plant has been on 12h light since today. I hope the stretch won't be too extreme. #2 is still at the rear right and #1 is at the front left.
Update day 61: She definetly stretches!
Update day 63: The stretch is real
Update day 65: Exactly one week after switching to 12/12 and they have stretched by about 20cm. The stretch will probably continue for another week and then the real flowering will begin. Both are also developing identically in the stretch. The plants are slowly consuming more and more water and the metabolism will change. By the way, the fan was in the same place. You can therefore use it as a good reference.
At the end of the stretch, I plan to remove the side branches that I didn't remove in the last few weeks of the veg. This will leave only the actual main branches from the mainlining.
Update day 67: Nothing to say
Update day 69: It's day 11 since 12/12h and the stretch has almost completely stopped. The #2 also shows the first pistils. That's why I decided to trim the plant today, as you can see in the pictures. I removed the side branches except for those at the top of a branch or if they have developed extremely well. I also removed a few leaves. I hope that this will allow the lower branches to catch up a little. Interestingly, #2 has developed even better with stronger shoots than #1. I'm not a fan of major defoliation so just a little. Maybe I'll remove more in the future.
Update day 73: The third real week of flowering has begun, it is day 15 since 12/12h. The plant is definitely hungry and is drawing a lot of water. I now give it 6L per week with fertilizer as noted. The highest point of the plant is now exactly 1m and so the stretch has also stopped. So a very average stretch. The first real flowers have been forming since day 12.
Update day 74: The stretch is not over, just slowed down. Nothing has happened in the last few days as mentioned and the plant has grown again overnight. I'm worried that the plant will pop my tent. Coincidentally, someone on a German grower discord is currently having exactly the same problem and has tried SuperCropping and had good results. You can find the tutorial he and I used here:
https://youtu.be/vPuRKddsnQ4?si=icX3iaw3ffFmKsq7
It looks very brutal and especially the second branch with the cable tie worries me because the leaves are already hanging there.
Update day 76: There's not much to say. The plants look vital and show no signs of deficiency, perhaps a little hungry. I was able to get a few more centimeters out of the lamp and so the distance from the flowers is further. The plant handled the supercropping very well, take a look!
You did a good job pulling them together. Stems are bulking up nicely. Tis a good sign that it'll be holding solid buds. Has to be my favourite type of weed. "Lemon". Have done the SLH pheno that actually made this (was a cut of green house seeds SLH).
This is the only breeder I HAVE to try even the packaging. Just screams the rolex of breeders.
Look forward to seen how she transforms.
Definitely. This is a really strong growth, above all really quite bushy, considering that it is Haze (Sativa). If the growth continues like this during flowering, it will be fantastic. Lilac Diesel by Ethos is known as a high-yielder anyway.
Everything about this breeder I love. The packging is like your buying a samsung device, etc. I've NEVER had there seeds. Like 100e for a 3pk (including shipping). So, waiting till I've spare cash and getting the multipack for 250$. Will be a whole ethos crop. Hopefully this year.
Good luck & enjoy man
